I went to Valvoline for an oil change. They were putting air in the tires and the back two tires wouldn't except air. They told me the tire stems needed to be replaced. The guy said he had the same thing happen and took his vehicle to Discount tires, they replaced it for free! He told me where two different Discount Tires were. He added that he hadn't even bought his tires there and they did it for FREE! I thought I'd go to Tires Plus, because that's where I bought them. BIG MISTAKE for an older lady like me! They replaced the two stems--$40!! Then the guy told me my wipers were shot and needed to be replaced. I told him they were all brand new. (Two had been purchased two weeks prior and the third I had just bought at Valvoline the night before!) He shrugged his shoulders and gave me a smirk! He said my oil filter needed to be replaced. The night before, the guy at Valvoline SHOWED me the filter and said it had a lot of life left! Oh! And and he said the tires were all in bad shape! My tires are fine. I found out another place charges $3 a piece for the same thing. Quite a difference! I believe it's because I'm an old lady and he figured I wouldn't know of other deals' around town. So buyer BEWARE if you are older and female! I will NEVER go back there. And so sorry I ever bought tires from them in the first place when they don't back them up! read more

I had my oil changed on my 2022 Mazda CX-5 non-turbo at the tires plus in Burnsville MN on County Road 42 on 08/07/24. When I dropped off the car they were messed up on what oil goes in the car and told me their computer system had lost all record of this. I communicated with them and determined it was the 0-20 full synthetic. Which should be 4.8 quarts. I picked up the car and drove it for 900 miles when my low oil light level came on. I added a full quart to the car and it seems to be okay, but that is TBD. I immediately got an oil change somewhere else. Drove the car and after another 1000 miles, there is no loss of oil. This store is messed up! They did NOT put the proper amount of oil in the car and I am even skeptical that they put 0-20W vs 5-20W in the car! They DO NOT know what they are doing. I would sue if I could but you make us sign the waver when we pick up the car so my only recourse is to place reviews across the internet will attest to how they are a bad place to do service. read more

brought my car in to have the front tires replaced. When I picked my car up he says you need new brakes, nothing else is said. 2 days later my daughter drives my car and she has my 11 month old granddaughter with her. She has a back tire blow out on her on the highway. It freaking exploded on her!! When we looked at the tire there's no way in hell my car should've left that shop!! No mention of the tire that was completely shot!! My daughter and my granddaughter were LUCKY!!! Never will I return to Tires Plus!! read more

The definition of crooks. Went in for an oil change and they called me an hour after I dropped of my car saying I "need to replace your brakes and rotors ASAP. Within the week for sure". Quoted me at $1200 for all brakes/ rotors. I declined, saying just the oil change was all I needed. Brought my car home and took the wheels off to look at all of the rotors- literally in just about perfect condition. Very poor service, made appointment the day prior, they had not ordered the tires which delayed the process as they scrambled to get them. When finished they had my tires inflated 10 lbs over the recomended manufacture limit. The tires and wheels were covered in a white goo. The manager Erik didn't seem to care. They had one employee named Alyssa who did care and tried her best to make it right. I will never buy from them again. Came to TiresPlus at this location from going to another location which this location better pinpoint the issue with my engine in my car which the other location must have overlooked. Happy can take care of it. The other location replaced my pully and all belts in the car but overlooked at the compressor which also needed to be taken care of before more damage to the engine. Needed a plug in my tire, they fixed it. The next day the tire was completely flat. I was so angry. After they looked at it they admitted that the patch they put in didn't hold up which is rare and put on a new tire for free. I will be back to get a new set soon. Great accountability. read more

I used to go here years and years ago for all the stuff for my car in High School. My dad always dealt with them for me then and things went smoothly. However recently I went in myself to get tires done. I am a 22 year old girl with little knowledge of cars and such outside of changing a tire, oil, and some other fluids. They decided to take advantage of me. Correction. The General Manager of the store decided to take advantage of me. I expected better of him considering it appeared he used to be in the military based on his Don't Tread On Me t-shirt. My appointment was at 5:00. They got my truck at 5:15 from the lot and pulled it into the garage. At 6:05, the general manager came to get me and show me some things on my truck. I was told my ball joints were dangerous and my truck could fall apart, black blah blah, trying to get me to do more work there. I didn't take the bait so he tried something else. He told me that the tires my fiance selected for me were not stock size. My fiance knows cars. He does literally all the work on our vehicles at home except things that require specialty equipment - Like putting tires on rims. Believing him to be honest, I upgraded to the next size up tire for an extra $40. I finally left with my new tires and about $650 poorer at 7:10. There is a one hour guarantee on putting on tires, which I did not know until I got home, that says tires done in one hour or a $59 refund and a free oil change. I didn't get it. My fiance checked the tire size again on the sticker on the door and the one I originally selected was the correct, stock tire size. I was upgraded to more expensive tires I did not need and the one hour guarantee was not honored. My fiance decided to take over from there as I have a bit of a temper and didn't feel like losing my cool. When he went back to Tires Plus, the GM ditched the new guy up front and let him try to deal with the situation. Eventually, Michael got the GM's card since the new guy couldn't do anything without the GM's permissions anyway and he was nowhere in sight. So after much back and forth the guy said to bring the truck back and he would put the correct tires one. We got an appointment for the two days after the original appointment at 7 am. It seems every Tom, Dick, and Harry with no appointment was squeezed in before my fiance as he was not done there for at least another 3 hours. He got the $40 refund for the tires, $60 refund for the one hour thing. He also got charged $25 for some unknown tax, got no free oil change, and was treated with disdain and disrespect by the staff. This is an unacceptable way to run any business. Rest assured none of my family in the area will ever be going here to get any work done on our vehicles. I encourage people to check out Discount Tire next door to Tires Plus or anywhere else but here. read more

I had been a customer of this shop for many years. It was close to work and always willing to accommodate my schedule or give me a ride back to the office. There were several changes in staff and I was not receiving the same level of service I had in the past. The deciding factor to take my business elsewhere was when I went there for a quote on tires (desperately needed) and they told me that in addition to tires I needed FOUR new rims! I bought my tires elsewhere and they confirmed rims were not needed and I have been driving fine for a year now. I made the mistake of giving them another try. I had a coupon for a free oil change and they were convenient. Within minutes of driving my car in the bay they told me I needed a new tie rod (confirmed not by another shop) and that they couldn't get my drain plug out and I needed a new drain pan since it would get damaged if they forced it out. I told them to stop immediately and get my car down! I went to another shop and they were able to change my oil and rotate my tires with no problem. They even gave me a new drain plug since Tires Plus had used the wrong size socket on it and rounded the edges in the process. It's amazing, if you use the right tool and know what you are doing, it doesn't take thousands of dollars to change your oil! BTW, the free coupon I had was because despite having an appointment, my son's oil change took over 3 hours. Neither one of us will be going back and I recommend you don't either. read more

First time coming here, and I am pretty impressed with the service and staff here. I needed some work done on my Mazda, and they first told me all that I needed was around 100$ of work(although I was expecting 400$ for the work that needed to be done), but they told me it looked like the entire sensor on the tire didn't need to be replaced. Once I came in for the appt and they started working on it, it appeared that the entire sensor did need to be replaced. So yes it was news I didn't want to hear when I initially was planning on spending 100 bucks but they ended up giving me a good deal (much better than I thought). They really didn't even need to give me any discount but because of the confusion they did. I really appreciated that! Also, the service guy came out and let me know multiple times that they were close to finishing and where they were at which is nice considering most places just let you sit in the lobby for however long until its done. Crazy busy yet he always had a smile on his face and very sociable with every person and every phone call. Maybe I also had fun teasing him of how fast he was moving around and just go...go....go... On 7/19/19 Burnsville Tires Plus installed new tires on my car. Immediately afterwards two of the tires were losing 5-12 pounds of air pressure per week. I recently took the car to my own dealership. After the inspection, I was informed that the prior service failed to perform the standard procedure of cleaning the rims prior to applying new tires, that being the source of the air leakage. As a result I incurred much inconvenience and an additional $182 dollars in costs to fix the problem. read more

They did - and said I needed struts - which I believed I may actually need because there was a noise coming from my right front tire. $800.00 later and the noise was still there. This place is close to my house so i've gone there for oil changes every now and then. I'll bring in a coupon, and on a few occasions they've conveniently forgotten to give me the coupon price. And like a lot of these chain shops, this place tries to upsell you on everything they can whether you need it or not. That stuff is all minor, and unfortunately, fairly common in the industry. But a few months ago they flat out lied to me. I brought in some wheels to be put on my car, and they told me that the tires were improperly installed and would need to be replaced. I had a feeling that the manager was being dishonest, so I ended up going to discount tire for a second opinion, and they told me my tires were fine. Don't ever get a repair quote from this company. They quoted $1900 to fix a rear brake line replacement and said there were many other parts to fix, which was a complete lie. I brought my car in for a 4 wheel alignment. They called and said the alignment was done. I went to pick it and asked for the before and after spec sheet. The toe, caster and camber was off in the before spec sheet. On the after spec sheet the toe was now within spec however the caster camber was off. I asked them why it was still off and they told me they would need to use CAM bolts(which they did have in stock) to get it back within spec and I would need to bring it back in and it would cost another $80 to get back in spec!! I brought it in to get an alignment done not just to have it checked and have the toe set. I could have set the toe at home and saved the money on the non alignment that was done. I would have expected a call telling me that they need to add parts to get the alignment back within spec and I would have been more than willing to pay for the additional parts to have it done right, rather that having to take it back in and be charged for another alignment to get done what should have been done in the first place. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT EVER GO TO A TIRES PLUS!! read more

STAY AWAY!!! Went for a simple oil change and grease squeaky ball joints but that was to confusing for this group to figure out. First "auto tech" calls my phone, not knowing I was five feet away, to let me know they're not able to grease the ball joints. He stated it was impossible and I informed him it was done a year ago there by a former tech who simply used a needle tip grease fitting to poke the boot and pump grease in there. At that point he said they didn't have a needle tip which boggled my mind since it's as common as a screwdriver. I said fine, I'll go somewhere else. So that's TWO excuses not to do it. At the counter, while my paperwork was printing, I was asked by a different employee, how I was doing and I replied to him I was disappointed about not having the squeak fixed and he says that they would not do it because applying grease to the ball joints that way wasn't the PROPER way to grease them....and that being the THIRD and most annoying excuse, I told him to check the computer and see that it was done that way last time. His response was "two wrongs don't make a right"....that IDIOTIC comment set me off and I told him this place is a joke and will never come back! ***I drove across the street and Precision Tune did it for me and it took 10 minutes, squeak gone. read more

I have had service done here because of the location. They actually lied to me about my exhaust system. I knew I needed a catalytic converter and brought it in for a quote. They told me the entire exhaust system was welded together so it would be about $1,000 because they needed to replace the converter, resonator and muffler. I declined and went home to take a look. It was actually clamped together and I bought the converter for $230 and did it myself. Be cautious on there recommended services. read more
