Been here 2 1/2 hours and they havent touched my truck. I recommend going somewhere else

Was offered to be placed in queue on the way here. Cameron, John, and Roberto have all helped me. Silly me didn't check to see if I had a spare, I do. Tire will be delivered next day. So far, great service throughout. From the phone calls to in person service. Thank goodness I bought the road hazard, they will have a brand new tire for me. Yay! They have even showed me the website to register my tires online. Update, Roberto took care of me this time around. I did have to pay for another warranty for the Michelin tire that I didn't realize until there. My door was locked, without asking, which was wonderful. And done way ahead of time. Even had capability to text me when service was done. And did. Nice improvements, for sure. Location close to shopping, restaurants, bank, and much more. Nice to have so many options of walking to other places if don't want to sit around waiting for car. Roberto was very friendly, even mentioned about the sticker on my car, Yoga is therapy and chit chat about that. Very nice experience indeed. read more

Ryan helped me this morning. Although I didn't buy my tires through discount or have road hazards he rotated patched one and balanced for me at no charge. The team had me in and out less than half hour I am extremely satisfied and this particular location is the best!!!! read more

Really disappointing experience at this location. I took my truck in to have my new tires balanced and although the initial customer service seemed great, after I left the location it was immediately obvious that my tires weren't balanced. I couldn't go back right away because my appointment was at the end of the day and the shop was now closed. I called the next day to ask about bringing my truck back in to get them properly balanced and instead of just telling me what they could do, the employee felt it necessary to tell my the tires on my truck were just cheap and probably wouldn't be able to give me a smooth ride. He proceeded to tell me to bring the truck back and they'd check to see if the tires were "out of round" and check the balance again. I received a call later that day saying my truck was ready and the balance has been completed, when I picked it up they said a weight had fallen off so they were not balanced the first time. I left the shop a second time and STILL my tires were unbalanced. After thinking over what to do I took my car to Jack Furrier where they told me my tires were, in fact, still not properly balanced. The AMAZING manager at JF got My truck in and the tires properly balanced in a few hours. i understand that things happen and sometimes you've gotta do the job a few times to make it work and i'm ok with that. I did not appreciate being told my tires were cheap and that was the issue for a simple balancing job. Save yourself the 90 bucks and take it to a shop who cares. read more

This Discount Tire really saved me today. I managed to run over a pretty nice sized metal chunk while bringing my husband to the doctor for a minor procedure. My car is brand new, with a brand new model of run-flat tire. Thanks to the run-flat, I was able to make it safely to Discount. After a couple minutes of waiting (they were pretty busy), John was ready to deal with what turned out to be a first for him. The tire is too new, and it's not in their system, and as a result, none in town have one. Unfortunately, they also had no other run-flat that would work for my car, even at other Discount locations. So he called the manufacturer and ordered one after he found me a suitable tire to loan me in the meantime. It's not ideal because it's not a run-flat so I don't have a spare tire if it picks up something along the way, but it works in a pinch. I really appreciate that they found a way to get me back on the road. And even though the wait seemed to be long, they got me in and out in about 30 minutes after they found me a loaner tire, which I also appreciate because I had left my husband at the doctor's office. I walked in to the shop pretty frazzled and nervous, but John was awesome! He put me at ease and figured out the problem with confidence and expertise. The best part of an otherwise crappy day is that when I bought the car, I went to Discount Tire and purchased their warranty for each tire. It was about $40 per tire, but these tires are upwards of $300 each. As a result, they're giving me this new tire for nothing extra, I just have to buy a new warranty for it. Definitely a good deal and a great peace of mind! Overall, John gets 5 stars, and Discount Tire gets 4 stars. If they had a permanent tire in stock, they would have gotten 5 stars. A customer for 40 years, now sad to see them go downhill. Brought in car as it was time to replace, but tires were "too worn for the wear warranty to apply". They no longer are the same kind of operation that they used to be. Last visit nothing was said about 3/32nds "rule" (my tires were between 2/32nds and 32nds), just that I would have to replace tires soon. Rule is found on website, but not shown when you buy your tires, nor at rotation time. Worn tires, no matter how even, apparently violate the wear warranty!! 3-year warranty "no questions asked" with the Cert's? Nope. Got 2 years and 17,000 miles out of tires with a 40K warranty. Now, DT is just another average tire shop, out for $$$, not the standout they used to be - or at least the Tucson Tanque Verde shop is. Cert's aren't worth buying anymore if they aren't honored. read more

Stopped in here last Sunday morning for four new tires. My husband had shopped around online, but this branch had only three of the kind we wanted. So ... they offered us an upgrade at no extra cost. Alright! We went to breakfast and less than 45 minutes later my car had four new "shoes". Plus, they invited me back for free monthly air pressure checks and every six months I can go for a free rotation/alignment. Very smart business! I expect to be a customer for life. read more

Just got four new Michelin tires installed at Discount Tire on East Broadway Blvd , near Old Spanish Trail (far East Tucson). Had booked an earlier appointment and arrived a little early. The job was completed in about 45 minutes and the service was great from beginning to end. These techs at this place are always on the ball, and take care of the customer every time I go in here. The workers at this Discount Tire Location are so helpful and nice! We had a last minute flat tire and they were nice enough to help us! When I went to have new tires put on my vehicle, the wait wasn't long and the technicians were quick and efficient. (The price was great too)! They have lost two of my custom hub cap emblems in the process of a simple tire change. When I called back to inform them, they said argued and said they were already missing. When I know for a fact they were on the vehicle at the time of entering the shop. This has happened two separate occasions :( read more

REPAIRED TIRE PUNCTURE DUE TO NAIL FOR FREE !!! Unbelievable in this time and age. I do not know of anyone else who does that; even WALMART charges ten dollars to repair flat tire repair; PEPBOYS charges $20+; FIRESTONE charges $30+. I am so, so grateful and did it quite promptly too within half hour, without making me wait for hours at 427pm on 8-31-17. My kudos to salesperson 925, CARLOS J RAMOS-MORENO. I take my car to Discount Tires at this location primarily for the PHENOMENAL service I get from Drew. He is super Professional & courteous. I have sat in a packed showroom with a line of people waiting to be helped. He is always calm and very efficient in dealing with each customer in a timely manner. People do business with people they like and know that they are not going to be taken advantage. I go a bit out of my way to this discount tire because of Drew. At some point yesterday I drove over a roofing nail. My fiance suggested Discount Tires. I called to see how much a patch job would be, and laughed when they told me it was a free repair. I explained that I hadn't gotten the tires from there, and they still said it was free. Cool! It did take about an hour and a half, as opposed to the hour they estimated it was going to take. But they were very polite despite seeming pretty busy, and I was a walk-in, so I didn't mind. I intend to buy my next set of tires there. read more

I had a great experience. I bought tires on Discount Tire Direct and brought them to be mounted in the store and it was quick and easy. Ryan got me in and out in 30 minutes. There was some confusion with the replacement/refund charge. Ryan didn't know I had already paid for it nor did I so when he went to add it on I ended up paying twice. But this was resolved quickly the next day without any questions. Great customer experience and some quality tires. Will definitely use them again read more

Went to get my tire mounted and balanced and one of the workers told me it was going to cost me $45 because the wheel was " a 20 and low profile". 255/35/20. Would not recommend going as a female alone as they might take advantage of that. read more

So we all know that having to buy tires sucks. No one ever wants to, just something that needs to be done. Most places suck. BUT Discount is pretty great. Sales guys never pressure, they may suggest what they think is best, but never pressure. For the most part, this place is the least expensive. Two major things though- 1- Came in to get a tire awhile back. Guys looked at it and also said I needed a different tire replaced badly. Crunch the numbers and told them that i just couldn't afford two and that I could only get the one. So thats what we went with...or so i thought. Once everything was done, sales guy called me up and explained that they couldn't let me leave with a tire in such poor condition. So, he said he found me a used tire and point it on for free. Nothing fancy and said it wouldn't last too long, but it was plenty to get me through for a bit. Pretty darn amazing if you ask me. Wish i could remember the guys name. 2- I always get the insurance on my tires, it doesn't cost that much and is completely worth it. I moved to california, got a flat tire because of a nail and there wasn't a Discount anywhere near me. Called the store i bought from and they said that since i had the insurance they would still pay for the tire even though i couldn't get it replaced with them. So i took the car to a local shop, and Discount mailed me a check for the whole amount. Would never have known if it wasn't for the foot work of the sales person i called. Guy was clutch. So yeah, get your tires from here. read more

I am writing this as a warning. I have read lots of reviews about Discount's prompt service and efficiency. I did NOT have this experience. I brought my car in after work (around 4pm). I had the tire in the trunk. The person who waited on me was polite. He went out to my car, looked at the tire, saw the screw, checked the outside, and said that they should be able to fix the problem. There was then a two-hour wait. He told me to come back at 6pm, and that the tire should be ready. So after waiting 2 hours I came back, only to be told that my tire was next. I gave the man (a different person) my keys, and he seemed surprised that I wanted the tire put on my car. I guess sometimes people do that themselves, but the only reason I had taken the tire off was to put on the spare so I could drive to the business. So after waiting for 2 hours (and after most shops had closed), I was told that there was something wrong INSIDE the tire, and I would have to have the tire replaced. I am very concerned about this, since it's the second time it's happened. I used to trust Discount. I used to tell my friends to come there. I won't be doing that any more. read more

Desperately in need of a new guy at check-in because my guy Aaron is just not cutting it, to make it short & sweet. He didn't acknowledge me when I drove up to check-in, while he was speaking with another customer (who walked up and was not in a vehicle), then snapped at me when I inched up to go park as if it was a personal attack. I began to apologize, when he cut me off and told me very condescendingly: "that's why I am here, to check you in so you CAN park". He then told me it would be a 2.5 hour wait, and that I was unable to just drop my car off to go to work while they repaired my tire because their employees are unable to operate my vehicle due to covid restrictions. While I completely understand restrictions due to covid, I called the discount tire location in Vail, where Manny, Bentley, & the rest of the team was extremely accommodating. They completely took care of my situation, and I only missed an hour of work! Shoutout to Aaron for helping me find my new go-to guys, and to Manny & Bentley for making my Monday a whole lot better! read more

I had my tires rotated on a Friday afternoon then went to get my oil changed. While there they noticed a small screw in one of the tires. (Entirely possible I picked it up on the way to the oil place.) Didn't make it back to Discount Tire til 6:10. They close at 6. They took the car in anyway, removed the screw, fixed the tire and were very nice about it. Thank you Discount Tire! I appreciate your professionalism and great customer service. read more

Get your tires here! They are so nice and helpful! I get my tires here for all my cars, and they always hook me up with the best deal! Also, I got new tires and ended up changing my mind about keeping the car, and they actually took back the tires after I had driven on them and gave me a refund! This is unheard of! Less than a year ago I had Discount Tire replace a tire and a tire sensor. Less than one year later I now have to replace the sensor again. According to my research, these things should last 5-10 years, not 10 months. Come to find out in replacing it, they also overcharged me as they are around $30 installed at Costco, yet I paid $68. However, after contacting them, they refunded my money and explained that they would have beat Costco's price if I had shown them the quote. And they did this quickly! Not a very good experience, first day no one came out to help me and they didnt have my tires. Not having my tires is understandable, Id think if they order tires they'd buy 2 or possibly 4 just in case theres an issue or someone needs the same sort of tire(I see many of the same cars rolling around). Second day someone walked out to check the car and told me I needed all new tires which is ok but they could've made this easier and less of a process if they did it the first time I arrived. Third time I come for a scheduled appointment, two cars went in ahead of mine after the time scheduled. Waited 20 minutes just for the car to go in after I was assured it would take 30 to 45 minutes. I see this as an issue because everyone, not just myself, have a life and work they need to attend. This place just seems very unorganized, oh...I also gave them a number and had a number on file to call me when the first tire arrived, I didnt get an email, call, nor text that they had received the tire. I found a bolt in my tire and called to inquire about a good time to stop in. Manny told me there was no one in line, so I hot-footed it over there. I was welcomed and met before I reached the counter. Very friendly, helpful staff took my keys and returned to inform me about the "health" of my tires - very, very good. They filled all four, repaired the hole, suggested I return for tire rotations when needed and check pressure every month. Fast, FREE, friendly service. I did not buy these tires from Discount, as I just bought the truck, two years ago, but I will be back when I do need tires. Discount has always been on top of my list when I do buy tires. Let me just say I walked in 5 minutes before closing, I had called 10 minutes prior and spoke to Arnold about the nail in my tire. He mentioned something about free flat fixes, when I got there they discovered that my tire would be difficult to cover but they would try their very best. 5 minutes later Arnold came back to me, I had mentioned to him I was on a tight budget due to bills and what not, he then said to me, how much money ya got? I thought he was just joking, I said 20-30 dollars, he then said how would it sound if I said I can get a brand new tire on there for you for $20 flat before taxes? without a doubt I said yes, maybe it was luck but man they're awesome! read more

The only tire company I have purchased tire from in the past 10 years is Discount and I have been very happy up until the past two years. I am reluctant to get the free tire repair any more because it seems it's alway a set up for selling me a new set of tires. This has been a really good company HOWEVER every time we take one of our cars in for a free air check or free tire repair it turns into a FEAR driven sales promotion. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL YOU GET A NEW SET OF TIRES OR TIRE and you may only need one but you must buy at least two to ensure they are evenly matched. I understand all this but really this nothing more than a TYPICAL sales pitch. My 19 year old daughter took her car in for a free tire repair Saturday. She waited two hours before being told the tire tread was was below their safety standards and she needed a new set of tires. It is correct we do do need tires in the near future but they are not below industry safety standards. I called the tire store spoke to the man helping her and got the same pitch. After the sales pitch he agreed to repair the supposedly non repairable tire. My daughter left scared as he reminded her upon leaving just how unsafe her tire were and she needed to get in right away to buy a new set of tires. I am all about safety but the scar tactics have gone to far. Next time you visit a discount tire store I encourage you to look around & listen just how many time you hear this sales tactics and how many customers you hear calling a family member telling them they must get new tires as their care is unsafe to drive. While there is and can be truth to this I have found it to be highly exaggerated & over blown. After 10+ years I am out. I will be finding a new tire company to work. read more

Brought my car here for a slow leak thinking they could just find the hole and patch it up. Got a call from them stating that I would need a whole new tire because my tire is unfixable unrepairable they said exact words. They said I would need an alignment because that is what is destroying the tire. I was told this place does not do alignments. My boyfriend checks out my tire with a flashlight sees that there's a nail in the tread of the tire. Lease to say i will be taking my car somewhere else! I will never trust this location or this company. read more

This place is great. I had two tires slashed and they were under warranty. It normally doesn't cover that type of damage but the gentleman Aaron took care of me. Will definitely continue to shop here. They take care of their customers. read more

I was visiting family in the area when the tire on my rental car went flat. They looked it over and changed to the spare when the tire could not be fixed. They did not charge me either but I would have been happy to pay to have the spare changed! read more
