I came into discount tire for a tire rotation and balance today (7 August 21). I was asked about my battery, minutes after giving my keys to the technician. My car was unresponsive after showing no issues getting to the appointment. We began troubleshooting different things. The technicians and manager all stepped into helping me. (Which I never expected by the way. The city I come from would have told me to call someone). We tried to jump it with various tools until we decided to get a new battery. The manager let his employee use his truck to take me to a parts store. We returned and the team came back to help until the car was running. They went out of their way for one hour to fulfill my free tire and rotation balance. What more could you want from a store? Thank you and the team so much for helping me! Before anymore time goes by, I want to give a shoutout to the pros at Discount Tire everywhere! With a tire that going flat in between Flagstaff and Yuma, AZ on a 110 degree day, I had to keep pulling over and airing it up in the heat and then, bc I can't change tires to save my life, I used my go-to method of temporarily resolving the problem with different brands and cans of fix a flat. Oddly, all of them failed to express their contents properly, so professional help was necessary sooner, rather than later. Big O Tires, just up the street, resolutely explained that since I'd used the canned sealants first, they couldn't repair my tire and I'd need a new one. When I gave in and decided to purchase a tire (in the budget or not), they wouldn't let me schedule an appointment either. I was expected to sit there and wait for 3+ hours in Yuma's mid-afternoon heat. I remembered a good experience I'd had with Discount Tire, years ago, in a different state and decided to see if there's a store in Yuma. There is! THEY were able to set up an appointment for me. THEY promised to try to repair the flat, since it was, after all, still holding air for hours at a time. I was so impressed with their professional efficiency once I got there too--how smoothly they've adjusted to working with COVID 19 restrictions. They looked at my tire and said it could be repaired, as well as checked the rest of my tires to make sure they were safe for my trip on the following day to see my grandson in California. A bill was emailed to me, which I was able to check with my phone. ZERO. That's what they charged me! My SUV doesn't have tires from their store, but they still charged me NOTHING to do all that work. They could so easily have told me I needed a new tire, too, because I asked them to go ahead and fit my car w/a new tire if repairing it wasn't an option. But no, they treated me the way a close friend would. This isn't the first time I, or a loved one, has experienced their very real "customers' needs first" philosophy. So, I'm glad Walmart's automotive department isn't open, because I usually go there, since Walmarts are EVERYWHERE and I do a lot of driving. But, in the future, I'll be buying all of my tires from Discount Tire, because, WHY wouldn't I? Their prices are far more reasonable than other tire stores', as well. We want to support this kind of business ethic: honesty, politeness, professionalism, and treating customers the way we want to be treated ourselves. GO Discount Tire! You're THE BEST! read more

We were traveling through Yuma heading to San Diego 2 weeks ago. Outside of Yuma we had a travel trailer tire blow. After changing it I went to this Discount Tire location which had our tire size in stock. One of the managers inspected the remaining 3 trailer tires and found that they were failing also. I ended up buying 4 new heavy duty 10-ply trailer tires which will handle the load of our RV. We continued our vacation with peace of mind that our trailer would tow well. I appreciate the Discount Tire staff checking the tires. Also, they put 3 workers on our job and had us in and out of the store within 1 hour. Came in at 930am right after a 10 hour night shift. Have to get 4 new tires. They got some in stock. Initially they tried selling me tires that are $250 per tire. I was like nah I'll take it to Walmart, they got same ones for over $100 less. Guy ends up finding tires I was looking for, or what was closest. Price matched them too. Now again, I came after working a full 10 hour night shift and I asked how long is this going to take? He said I'll have you out of here by 1115. No later. It's 1115 and they haven't even moved my car. I asked and they keep coming up with excuses. I'm asking for a refund and taking this shit to Walmart. I wasted over an hour waiting. Not to mention however long it would take to get the tires actually replaced. Will 100% not return to this location. Zero sense of urgency and no time management and they try to upswell you on tires. Do your research before showing up and paying hundreds more for tires. And expect to be there for hours or arrange for a ride home. Will never return to this location or ANY discount tire again in the near future. read more

Once again discount tire knocks it out of the park, had a blowout on the hwy last night and have a brand new tire on my car less then 12 hrs later. This location is Always clean and the staff is extremely helpful and get you squared away and on the road. Happened to have insurance on the tire that had a blowout they replaced it free of charge and had me in and out in less then 40 min on a sat morning. Driving from Scottsdale back home to San Diego with my two & three year old kids, I hit a curb blowing out one tire & taking a chunk of sidewall out of the other. It was not my finest moment. After AAA put on the spare, we went to Toyota. The Sienna I was driving was only four days old with every possible warranty on it. I figured they'd take great care of us, but their solution was that I stay in a hotel Yuma for a day or two while they ordered the tires & charged me a small fortune to repair it. At a loss, I pulled into Discount Tire just to see if there was something they could do to put me safely back on the road that day. (Driving through the mountains on a spare & a damaged tire with the two little kids was not a risk I wanted to take, but staying in a hotel room with them for a few days was also not something I thought I could handle well.) Tim, the manager, kindly put two new tires on my van so I could safely drive home that day and he coordinated with my local discount tire so that the loaner tires would be shipped back to him once the new tires were put on back home. He got us safely back on the road within thirty minutes. His helpfulness exceeded my every customer service expectation & ensured my family will be Discount Tire customers for life. Great service! Had an appointment ready for us next morning to purchase a replacement tire as ours had blown out on the freeway the afternoon before. Although they didn't have the exact tire to match, they had several other brands that were comparable and they didn't try to up charge. Just honest service which was quick! I had my husband go next door to target to grab Starbucks and before I could finish the food he brought back our tire was replaced and the rest of the tires were topped up and we were on our way. My daughter is a college student in Phoenix and called me to say her TPMS light was in today. My husband happened to be flying in for a visit and a drive into California with her this afternoon. They added air, but about an hour from their destination the tire was bulging and had a tear in the outer wall. I called and asked if I could buy a replacement over the phone as they were in a hurry. I ordered and paid for the tire and they said it would be ready when they got there. FRIENDS, THEY WERE SERIOUS. They were outside waiting with the tire ready to go when they pulled in at 5:24 pm and they had the tire on and balanced, ready to go at 5:38. They had my family back on the road in less than 15 MINUTES! We travel frequently and more often than not, I'm met with people not willing to do the bare minimum for their customers. Not only did they assist me over the phone but they had the work done quickly and professionally and were courteous while doing it. I needed new tires for my vehicle. Searched online for the tires I wanted or at least I could afford. Discount Tire had the best price. Walked into store and ordered my tires. The man said it should take 3-5 days, but there was a mix up and I got them in just over a week. Went back and had tires put on. Everybody there was very professional. The place is very clean, chairs are comfortable, and there is free bottled water. I'm even getting a small manufacture rebate that I did not know about. When I need tires again, I will probably be back. Highly recommend. read more

I was traveling to El Centro on business when I had a blow-out on I-8! I stopped at another tire store and they couldn't help me until around 9 pm. So I quickly drove to Discount Tire for a referral. 2 customers and 1 employee told me they were closed when I went in through an open garage door. We've been fans of Discount Tire on 32nd Street for years. We had two tires go flat in the last week and took the car in to Discount Tire both times. They are quick, helpful, and reasonably priced. They also try to make your experience as good as it can be -- the waiting room is comfortable and they keep bottled water on hand to offer their customers, which is really nice in the Yuma heat. My girlfriend and I were on our way to San Diego for a vacation coming from Phoenix AZ. On our way their, the rear driver side tire ended up with a gaping hole about 15 miles from Discount Tires. Once we arrived at the store it was obvious we needed a new tire. The tire wouldn't hole air and was completely flat. The damaged tire was beyond repair. The tire tech showed me a huge hole that couldn't be plugged to seal the hole. Gary, the store manager checked for a used tire in his inventory to replace the damaged tire so we could get on our way. Needless to say, there were no used tires in the size I needed. What he ended up doing was prorating the damaged tire at a more than fair amount and ended up selling me a brand new tire for $20. That included mounting and balancing. To be honest I was very skeptical initially and thought I was going to be taken advantage of by paying an outrageous amount for a tire since I was in a vulnerable position being I was in route for our vacation and in desperate need of a tire. We were in and out of there and back in the road in no time. Gary and his staff treated me very fair. I see why they have such high customer ratings. Their integrity, honesty, professionalism, fair and ethical business practice are qualities that customers like myself appreciate. They honor their warrenty which is the best thing that can be said in my opinion. Clean and comfortable waiting room.

I went to the location on 32nd Street last week. Due to the Covid 19 virus they were only letting one customer at a time in the store and all others had to wait in the parking lot. It was triple digit temps and they obviously don't care about the comfort of their customers (several who were elderly) because they did not provide an easy up or any kind of shade or fans so their customer's didn't have to wait in the blazing sun in a hot parking lot. After waiting in line for 10 minutes in the blazing sun we had enough. We've had hundreds of dollars of work done by this shop and they lost us as customers. They do not care about the comfort of their customers! read more

Don't go to the Discount Tire by the mall. The service at the location near the airport is worth the extra short drive. I came here with a flat tire after visiting other tire shops, including the other Discount Tire by the mall, and being told that either my tire couldn't be patched, or that they didn't have the same tire in stock for a replacement. The people at this Discount Tire were incredibly friendly, supportive, AND they patched my tire for FREE. I was ready to put down almost $200 for a replacement, but much to my surprise, they gave me the keys and said "Have a very nice day sir" and I was on my way. It was quick, painless, and--heck--even pleasant. Ironically, I hope to never have to come back here again, but if I'm ever in Yuma, this Discount Tire will be my go-to place for any tire needs. read more

I had originally taken my tire to get patched up on base but they told me I couldn't because the nail was within the outer inch of the tire wall. After yelping a tire shop (thanks yelp), we found this place and went to it just 20 min before it was closed. Ian helped us out and told us that he can try and see if he could patch it up. Twenty minutes later, we're driving away with a patched up tire at no cost. They also torqued the lugs and aired all four tires. Random fact: they let me stay in the car because I was in uniform. Very professional and courteous service, we definitely will make this our go-to and recommend it to anyone with tire issues. read more

Above and Beyond Great Service! Easter weekend 2014 my 20 yo daughter was traveling from Phoenix to San Diego and an hour outside Yuma when she ran over a nail and blew her right rear tire. Highway patrol changed the tire for her since she was in a sling ( FYI : my daughter was taught to change her own tires, oil and brakes) but couldn't change the tire alone this time. I had called ahead to Yuma and got Shawn the store manager of Discount Tire on 32nd st on the phone. He said she wouldn't make it to him before the store closed, but he said to call him when she did get there and he would come back and make sure she had a new tire and was safe to continue driving. My daughter ended up getting to Shawn and his staff 10 minutes after they shut everything down and these guys re-opened up a bay, changed her tire, made sure she was ok and stayed with her until it was all done. Then told her where to go for gas and food safely and get back to I8. That is old fashioned class. You never hear of managers or employee's wanting to stay late at work for anyone and especially on a Holiday Weekend. This has to be the best tire company ever. They are the same company as America's Tire Company. I went here with full intention of buying a brand new tire to replace my flat. They instead said " If we can fix the current one you have to be good enough for the road, we wont even sell you a new one". COMPANIES lIKE THIS ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN!! So far so good. My mother and I noticed there was something wrong with one of our car's tires. We discovered it was not maintaining any air and so we decided to take it to the company to check it. They were going to charge us $15.00. Okay, then we decided to go to discount tire. We noticed it was busy, but I understand why. The employees were nice. They checked the tire and it had a nail. This was my first visit to any Discount Tire location. I did a little research prior to going here so I had already confirmed that they had my tires at a decent price (about $10 cheaper than other locations). What I didn't expect was that everyone in Yuma was getting their tires changed the same day too. The place was crazy busy! I dropped my car off, went to eat at KFC, came back, and my car was still sitting in the parking lot. After about 40 minutes, my car finally made its way into the garage. One thing to note is that the guys run out into the parking lot to retrieve your car. Not a big thing, but as a customer watching, it's a nice touch to show that they are showing a sense of urgency. My car was finished shortly after that and they drove it right up to the curb where I was waiting. I liked the fact that they handed me my tire key. I have had my tires rotated at other places and have had to search for the key. Overall, they were friendly and professional despite all the chaos and I would definitely go back again I guess my only complaint was that there was a pretty long line of customers waiting for assistance and there seemed to be a lot of people standing around. When I finally got to the front of the line, I was helped immediately. However, I feel if that same level of service was offered to the people in front of me, the line would have moved along a lot faster. read more

Our tire went out last night and it was a pretty difficult trip back home, especially because my cousins needed to get to skyharbor for their flight. Because of the amazing people here, even in a huge rush, they were able to take care of the car and get us back on the road in less than 30 minutes. And my cousins made their flight :) if they had taken even 10 minutes longer, they wouldn't have boarded! So grateful for these guys caring about our craziness! read more

I spoke with Alex. He provided curteous service and without hesitation brought out a tire for me to see upon my request. After settling with a tire of my choice he said it would take about 45 mins to install. Being crunched on time, I said 30 mins. He said he couldnt do it on that time frame due to their work load so I said ok, 45 mins. 49 mins later, I was driving out of the parking lot with a new set of Michelin tires on my f250. Excellent customer service. I took my car in for a pair of tires this past weekend. As I expected the service was great BUT the made mistake. I took it back today. I was met before I reached the door. I explained my situation. The took responsibility and made NO excuses. They rectified the problem quickly and way beyond my expectations and got me on my way. Then my tire had a nail in it later I realized, and they repaired it free of cost even though it was not purchased originally from them! They have always gone out of their way to help me. Keeping this short. Went to see about tires that my brother bought here and was quoted the first time of $250. Yet went 3 days later and had to argue my warranties. Comes to, that tires had just 15k and were warrantied for 60k so we had to go a round with manufacturer to where i got full credit on one and 78% on the other. The guy did all he could and got out of there with all the warranties that my brother paid, for $120. Now I questioned one especially "replace for free" and couldnt understand what it all entailed but i do understand replace for free so i left feeling somewhat jaded. I dont blame the guy he did all he could but this is corporate level so my next call will be to them. These guys are life savers. I bought my tires from the Temecula, CA location few years ago. Then when I was traveling my tire exploded in Yuma, AZ. After changing my tire in a 110 degree heat I made it to the store just as it was closing. They could have easily have said, "Sorry you have to wait until morning." A good place to buy tires. I purchased 4 new tires but 2 at a time. The first two I had not purchased the warranty for, but when I purchased the last two, they let me make up for my mistake. I am glad I did because I had a screw in one of my tires just recently and they fixed it with no questions asked.
