Social Fabric Brewing has moved into the spot where Discovery Bay Brewing was and is under new ownership. I have to say it's an improvement on the beer quality from the previous brewery not trying to sound like a jerk there... it's just how I genuinely feel on the matter. I already submitted the name change, business hours and website to Yelp to change so hopefully all of that is pushed through. I could just have reported that the business was closed that was here before but on social media it seems like Social Fabric was using the Discovery Bay accounts so I figured I's submit changes instead since that was the pattern I was seeing. As I have said I felt like the beer has improved and I had Social Fabric Brewing earlier in the summer at a taphouse in Port Angeles and when we heard that the brewery was opening their own taproom we decided to proceed and make a trip here as soon as Social Fabric was in operation. Now, onto the beer! I had a very nice Baltic Porter here called Mid Dark Energy which I really enjoyed with it's roastiness flavor profile to match up with the nippy weather we were experiencing. They also had some pretty creative beers on tap that we got tastes of like the PB & Jansport which was like a Peanut butter and jelly beer which I do like to sample when I see one and then the had the Pumpkin Beans which was a pumpkin beer that was very good also. Definitely a fun brewery to try and I walked away quite satisfied with the brewery that has taken over the helm at this location. read more

Not sure if this place is new or not, but it makes for a great stop off for a beer when in the area. It has a nice outdoor patio and an indoor area too. Not entirely sure if there is a surplus of parking, but we managed to get a spot in the empty lot across the street. The location seemed a little bit off the beaten path, but not far from main roads. The person behind the bar was friendly. It also has two bathrooms which is something I have come to appreciate from a brewery. We just had one beer, I don't recall what exactly but I am sure it was tasty. What I liked most about this place is that they had food available, including vegan hot dogs. The price was very reasonable, only 5$ and it came with chips. It took 15 minutes or so, but usually when you are having a beer you are not in a rush. I appreciate that he came out with the basket of chips and you got to pick which kind you wanted. I also like that he brought out a condiment basket which included dill relish. read more

First and foremost, the beer is outstanding. I'm an IPA guy and their Blown Away IPA is right in my wheelhouse. My wife loves their pale ale. The two gentlemen who run the brewery are very nice and mellow. The setting is functional; they have inside tables but the outside seating area (mostly covered) is better. Live music - blues, typically - is very common. Definitely worth a shot! read more

The outdoor beer garden is dog friendly, fully fenced with grass, and tented (covered) seating. The staff is friendly, beer is tasty, and the atmosphere is great. We came here on Friday night with our two dogs during our weekend away into PT. There was a great group of musicians playing in the beer garden. Discovery bay brewery is a great local spot, they have a nice small location that offers indoor and outdoor seating and it's ran by two great guys that really put love and attention into their craft . All the beers are fabulous and they offer a great selection of local wine and snacks as well. If your looking for a good place to eat lunch you also have the option of bringing your own food to eat it there or you can go to the pop up kitchen right across the street that offers amazing food that changes from time to time.. If you're ever in the area and want to try awesome local beer, look no further. Lastly, If I had to pick a favorite beer from this establishment it would either be their scotch ale or the citra both are pretty special. Highly recommended. read more

it is beyond sad to give such a poor rating to a brewery that makes such outstanding beer. Think of it is a challenge to find them out and enjoy one of the most distinctive scots ale I have had, and I have been sniffing them out on the East and West coasts since the late 70s. But they are victims of the Rite Aid wrong town fiasco of the early 2000s and a poor choice of name and location. The biggest draws' in the area is Goodwill and Pat and Judy's Tavern. They are unlikely to make inroads in either crowd, nor are they relocating to Disco Bay. The Blond was quietly exciting and could be a first class boiler maker if they had the permit for spirits. If they are smart as well as talented they would get their kegs up and down Water Street and to big distributers as well . Why not Columbia? Or ride the horse that got you here and find your belongings at Goodwill as well. ' read more

I liked this brewery a lot! It's off the beaten path in Port Townsend but not too difficult to find. There's also a nice outdoor space at the brewery, perfect for those nice days! I had a pale ale which was good, on the hoppier side-- I really enjoyed it. Overall, a good addition to Port Townsend's breweries. read more

Our first visit, looking for some growlers to keep at home to enjoy with our homemade pizza. We ordered a flight of their brews For tasting. The brew master and bar tender were very sociable and talked with us about the beers. I love the Protection Island Pale. We left with three growlers and will definitely keep them topped up. read more

This is by far the best brewery on the Olympic Peninsula. A local hangout, DBB features a good selection of beer and even some local wines and ciders. The Brewery has also been designated as the best music venue in Jefferson County. The owners are the brewmasters and will always remember your name. Right across the street is Lila's Kitchen where you can get some really good eats. read more

Stopped by while we decided on dinner, and glad we did! It's only been open a few months, but they already had some great beers on offer. We all got Schooners of their various IPAs and liked them all. It's a little outside of town, but is in a very nice location. Will visit again if I'm in Townsend again. read more
