Like any typical frozen yogurt spot, Menchie's is a buffet style place, where you get your own cup and go through the line of toppings to spoon onto your base as much as you'd like. With lines full of sloppy children and parents who are too tired to care what they do, the countertops can get kind of messy. When you couple this with machines that squirt out your Cheesecake Flavored FroYo through dripping spigots used over and over for get-it-yourself-samples by people who don't want to buy their own bowls, but still want to eat a ton of dessert, you end up have a shop that needs constant cleaning. But, often when we come here, there's only one person actually working. Meaning that the cleaning takes a back seat to tending the register for the throngs of customers. There have been a few times when I've almost left because of the grime and slop, only to be forced to endure because of kids who just want their mini-m&m and gummy shark covered desserts. Still, when they have two people on shift, Menchie's can actually be a fairly positive experience. I'd still rather just go to Handel's, where I find you get a bit more for your buck overall. But, here at Menchie's, your kids get the visceral thrill of coating their yogurt in animal cookies, mini-marshmallows, and Oreo crumbles.

Unfortunately, the drink was disappointing. They added a huge scoop of strawberry syrup that completely overpowered the drink. I went there to try Matcha Maiko's matcha, not a cup full of strawberry syrup. On top of that, the syrup wasn't even mixed in properly, so l kept getting mouthfuls of syrup at the bottom I was really looking forward to trying this place, but between the uncomfortable experience in the store and the poorly made drink, it wasn't the experience I had hoped for.
