We've been here a few times for breakfast and decided to try for dinner. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered an open faced chili burger with fries and Hubby ordered the pot roast with a dinner roll and loose corn. My chili burger patty was skimpy and burned. The chili was carelessly slapped on the plate and my fries thrown on top of the whole mess. Hubby's pot roast was 90% potatoes in the form of mashed and cubes with the pot roast. It also contained almost raw carrots with brown gravy poured over the whole plate. The best part of the meal was the iced tea. The server didn't even come to ask how the meal was.... Probably because he knows it was not up to par. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the meal to really show what I'm talking about. We will never be back again. read more

It was awful! The pea soup was so thick you could turn your spoon upside down for a few seconds before it falls off. The turkey and gravy was super salty and I found a tiny hair in it. The toast was burned black. Save your money and skip this place! read more

Walked in and waited over 30 minutes for a chicken salad. Only two other tables taken. Had an appointment and could no longer wait. Walked up to the register and asked to box it. NEW OWNERS!! This is my neighborhood restaurant and a short walk from my home, so I am very glad to see the change in ownership. Had a couple of very bad experiences before the change...one of which resulted in my entire family being asked to leave after I politely refused to accept what was clearly a mass produced, flash frozen chicken fried steak and not their self-claimed "Best Chicken Fried Steak in Town". I only gave 3 stars because I have not yet been back, but I am excited to give it a try and will update as needed. read more

We came for Labor Day weekend because my grandparents love this place. The food was good and there LOTS of it. I got the half portion of eggs Benedict with the home potatoes. The home potatoes were so good. My husband got the pork fried steak. So tasty! The blueberry pancakes were HUGE!! They were busy for a holiday weekend but they handle it great with only a few employees they had working. read more

Well Fine Foods is a bit of a stretch. The waffle was good as was the omlette. Service was good. Nothing stands out.

Again, another gastronomical gem in the Coos Bay Area. Our Grandaughter loves the pancakes. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. Staff is super as well. read more

I was hungry for a shrimp salad, so stopped in at Dishner's. The waitress told me to sit anywhere so chose my seat. The restaurant was half full and everyone enjoying their meal. The waitress was busy taking orders, cleaning tables, making shakes, so was keeping busy. The tables and booths were clean and lots of natural sunlight. The menu included breakfast, lunch and dinner which was unexpected but welcome! I typically love breakfast for dinner, but ordered my shrimp salad and apple pie a la mode. The warm pie arrived quickly and was quite delicious. Then my salad arrived and it was full of shrimp, olives, and I enjoyed it. I recommend you stop in for a meal. read more

We were seated, promptly. The ambiance was mom, and pop feeling. There were four of us for breakfast. This is the place that appears to be where locals go quite busy. And for a reason. Is been at least 5 or 6 years since have been here and, my first full day back in the coast, made the trip down here! It's exactly as I remember it except for the #$@# masks. Had chicken fried steak and was very excellent but little different from memory. Very flavorful and soft and scrumptious but seated on a bed of gravy instead of gravy on top. Only downside was soft drink was a bit pricey but other than that heartily recommend. Won't leave hungry! read more

Walked in and wanted to have a nice mother and son breakfast and we were not greeted, we were told in an aggressive tone, "Pick a seat". So we just went and sat down. As we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant, i noticed an older gentleman that kept staring at us, not sure why but it was enough for us to feel uncomfortable to eat with the awkward staring. So we then moved over to an empty booth next to us, and it looked like it hasn't been wiped down yet, wasn't really dirty, just some crums, but we didn't really mind. There were not any dirty dishes or anything so we didn't see much of an issue. Well when our server came to us she seemed very upset that we moved to the booth and was very loud about us sitting at a dirty table, announcing out loud to other customers that she has people sitting at a dirty table. She then aggressively threw her whole body on our table reaching for the clean coffee cups we had brought to our new table and shook everything to the point that everything was falling over. She was throwing some kind of tantrum and slamming stuff and announcing out loud that we had moved clean utensils to a dirty table and such as well. My son has major anxiety and he felt so scared and embarrassed of her reaction that he was so apologetic and shaking because her aggression was so unnecessary. I didn't say a word to her because I was so shocked and so angry with how she reacted not knowing why we moved. I was worried I was going to cause a scene so after she walked away we just walked away and left. My son was crying in the car saying he never wants to go back to this restaurant again. So we ended up going to The Kozy Kitchen where we were treated much better. We did not catch then name of this server but she was an older woman that was scheduled on Monday 2/17/25 at 10:30am. I hope the managers will take this review seriously and hold her accountable, because that was just unacceptable behavior from a server, no matter how busy she is, there is no excuse! read more

The service was great. Servers were efficient and polite. My review is for the disgusting food that I was served. Fine Foods? Phhht! The cinnamon roll was a doughy glob of overly sweet something, but definitely not a pastry, and definitely not worthy of being called Amazing Cinnamon Roll. The corned beef hash came from a can, not fine food. The biscuit was as dry as my grandmas feet. The gravy had 3 pieces of sausage, I know because I counted, and also came from a can. Disappointed is an understatement, especially when I spent $40 on a terrible breakfast. Never will I ever eat there again. read more

The food was great. The service was good. The bathroom was disgusting!!! It's accessed from outside, not a problem till you learn the doors aren't secured for customers only. The area has a fairly high population of homeless/druggies. There was feces on the walls and sink, the faucet on sink busted...for quite awhile it appears. The floor is disgusting! Good, home cooked plain food for good prices. Nothing but great service also. Don't expect anything fancy but the place is clean, the pies are great and so are all the sandwiches we have tried. Ambiance could use a bit of a boost as well as their use of seasonings (they seem to cater to the over 60 crowd in this fairly homogenous town which probably explains that lack). Husband and I went out for breakfast and had the worst experience. We ended up leaving with me crying. I had ordered a "scramble" dish because it was one of the few dishes that did not say it had eggs in it, just potatoes, cheese and meat. (Some of the other scrambles mentioned they had 2 scrambled eggs so I thought that this one did not because there was no mention of eggs in the description). It came out filled with eggs and when husband asked the waiter if we could get the eggs removed because I ordered it thinking it had no eggs the older waitress completely lost her crap on him, and then me. She told us no we couldn't replace the dish because obviously a scramble has eggs in it. I pointed out the description didn't include eggs. She told me how stupid I would have to be to not think a scramble had eggs in it and J and I obviously did not have any common sense. She was speaking so rudely to us and then loudly exclaimed to the other customers that "young people these days have no common sense and can't even order a common dish." We were done asking for a replacement at this point and I asked for a manager because she kept telling me how I didn't have any common sense and I apparently couldn't read. The manager wasn't there and nobody was stepping in so we just paid the bill and left. Husband asked her to apologize to me for calling me names but she basically told him to f off. It was just a mistake and I guess that I should have made sure there was no eggs but didn't think I needed to since they weren't included. She was so awful and calling us stupid and lacking common sense was so out of line and disrespectful. I still can't believe she was yelling at us over a simple mistake. Nobody has tried to fix the issue and I can't seem to be able to speak to a manager. read more

People are mistaking us for the boat, we don't have bathrooms at our location, we use the public bathroom at the visitors information center across the street. We never have you seat yourself until you order, and our food and service is the best. read more

We always make a stop here since the boyfriend grew up coming to this dinner. It's got some pretty great country fried steak (little softer than usual today though) and friendly service. Probably one of the grosses places I've ever eaten, and it wasn't because of the food. We gave the place the benefit of the doubt because it's in a small town. Flies were everywhere, blonde waitress was very rude and condescending. I'm unsure of what her issue was with us, but it was very obvious she didn't want to serve us. I was disgusted by her behavior more than I was by the flies or the food. The only redeemable factor was the sweet brunette woman she sent to serve us after she treated us so badly for no reason. Dishner's Fine Foods? I don't think so!! They need to change the name of this place because I went to Dishners a while back and the experience was terrible. I got breakfast, and it tasted like it had been cooked in bacon grease. That may sound great to some people, but as a vegetarian, I found it quite disgusting. Also, my friend asked for some fruit, and the waitress asked if he wanted fruit cocktail or peaches from a can. Gross! If you are looking for a greasy spoon perhaps this place is for you. However, if you are looking for fresh and/or healthy, look elsewhere. You won't find it here. read more
