The previous owners threw my family and I out after I sent back what was clearly a flash frozen mass-produced hockey puck.

NEW OWNERS!! This is my neighborhood restaurant and a short walk from my home, so I am very glad to see the change in ownership. Had a couple of very bad experiences before the change...one of which resulted in my entire family being asked to leave after I politely refused to accept what was clearly a mass produced, flash frozen chicken fried steak and not their self-claimed "Best Chicken Fried Steak in Town". I only gave 3 stars because I have not yet been back, but I am excited to give it a try and will update as needed.

We came for Labor Day weekend because my grandparents love this place. The food was good and there LOTS of it. I got the half portion of eggs Benedict with the home potatoes. The home potatoes were so good. My husband got the pork fried steak. So tasty! The blueberry pancakes were HUGE!! They were busy for a holiday weekend but they handle it great with only a few employees they had working.

I was hungry for a shrimp salad, so stopped in at Dishner's. The waitress told me to sit anywhere so chose my seat. The restaurant was half full and everyone enjoying their meal. The waitress was busy taking orders, cleaning tables, making shakes, so was keeping busy. The tables and booths were clean and lots of natural sunlight. The menu included breakfast, lunch and dinner which was unexpected but welcome! I typically love breakfast for dinner, but ordered my shrimp salad and apple pie a la mode. The warm pie arrived quickly and was quite delicious. Then my salad arrived and it was full of shrimp, olives, and I enjoyed it. I recommend you stop in for a meal.

Popeye omlett, with pancake ,and Potatoes O'Brien. Very good.

We were seated, promptly. The ambiance was mom, and pop feeling. There were four of us for breakfast. This is the place that appears to be where locals go quite busy. And for a reason. The food was wonderful. And a lot of it. Reasonably priced. I only took pictures of two of our meals. Our waitress was very nice . It's hard to find restaurants like this anymore.

    Small portion meatloaf.

Well Fine Foods is a bit of a stretch. The waffle was good as was the omlette. Service was good. Nothing stands out.

Tried eggs Benedict. Ham and muffin over cooked. Too much sauce. No refill provided and expensive.

We were seated right away and our waitress gave us window seating so we could have a river view. I told the waitress it was my daughters birthday, hoping they would do something special for her later. We ordered a few drinks and made our food order. It took about 20 minutes before we were served. I ordered the burger and fries. My hubby ordered the fish and chips and my daughter ordered the mac N cheese. Everything looked good, however, my fries were lacking warmth and my burger bun was stale. It was not soft and fresh. I ended up not eating the bun, but just the burger itself. My daughters mac N cheese wasn't as great as she expected either. It was bland and dry. Yes, it had cheese, but it was stringy and not creamy. My husband loved his fish and chips. Hot and fresh and looked amazing. I did have a bite and it did taste really good. Note taken: Do NOT order anything but the fish and chips. When we were finished a new waitress gave us our receipt and asked if we needed anything else. I wanted to tell her we needed more water, but we were ready to go. I wish they would have filled up the carafe of water "before" I was about to leave. And..on top of that...no birthday surprise for my daughter. Some places sing a song or give a small dessert. But nope...not here. Oh well...I think I'll skip this place for any kind birthday celebrations.
