I ate Heer years ago and it was really good this time not so much fairly mediocre I would say it's comparable to some of the chain restaurants like Denny's or the former Sherri's Most of the people dining in there were elderly, and the staff was busy chatting and looking at videos on their cell phone The food was not bad just not great. I stopped in to this Mom-n-Pop type restaurant during the holidays on a Sunday afternoon. I called ahead to make sure they were open - good to go. Once inside, I could tell the single waitress was pretty busy. Drink orders were taken and delivered. Soon, meal selections were made and delivered in a timely manner. She was really rushing around, trying to take care of everybody. Items were missed here and there, but eventually everything fell into place. My meal was everything I asked for. The food was delicious. The restaurant itself is cozy and I found it to be warm and inviting. read more

Don't order from them through Doordash unless you want cold soggy old food that takes forever to get to you. The driver said they ignore the drivers and that the waitresses said they are going to take care of their sit down customers first because they don't get tips from Doordash orders so only when they are free they will work on the Doordash orders. The driver said he had to wait 45 minutes for our order as it was sitting on the counter already cooked and he couldn't get help from the employees. They then gave one of our items to another customer and he had to wait for them to make it over. He said the employees were complaining about getting Doordash orders. read more

I have been going to cozy kitchen for years, I've never have a bad enough experience ANYWHERE to leave a review. The short, older man who has worked there since I can remember left an awful taste in mine and my fiancés mouth this morning when we went in for breakfast, I also work in the food service industry and despite how busy we are I would NEVER treat customers the way I was treated. Anyways, it wasn't even that busy and he came to take our drink orders, he walked away as I was in the middle of asking for a TEA, and somehow he didn't hear me so he turned around and was insanely rude, talked down to me like it was my fault he decided to walk away in the middle of my sentence:) anyways, I hope he wakes up on the right side of the bed if we ever decide to go back. read more

This place is so cute and the staff members are all very sweet. We stopped here for breakfast before continuing on our road trip through Oregon and I absolutely adored our waitress. I wish I could remember her name. You'll know her by the cute little pink jewel that sticks out under her top lip when she smiles. She was amazing and attentive and took good care of the cinnamon roll I asked about. The food was great. I wasn't much impressed with the biscuit...but the cinnamon roll made up for it. Holy cow!! Had I known how amazing that GIANT cinnamon roll was going to be, I would have bought ALL of them. Absolutely mind blowing. I live on the Central Coast of California, and I am never going to find a breakfast or cinnamon roll that compares to this little restaurant! I wish I knew the recipe because it's not likely I will be going back this way anytime soon. I highly recommend going here. Everything about this place is super. Even when they are slammed, the entire crew works to make each dining experience a gastronomical success. Wish they were up in the Willamette Valley area. We stop in each time we go to Charleston, sometimes 2x a day, like last trip down. My meatloaf melt sandwich literally melded flavors my taste buds loved. I order Nacho I don't even know where to start I ask for extra taco meat & cheese look like little taco meat hardly any cheese there were little black olives and tomatoes and the chips were stale. My boyfriend order pork chips and bake potatoes. The Pork chip were so small I don't even think he got to bite out of it and had no taste to pork chipps. them. It saddens me to have to post a negative review on a restaurant that has been my family's staple since the 80's. Today is the last time I will ever go to Kozy Kitchen. Got an authentic breakfast burrito.. what I have consistently ordered since the late 90's. Last few trips it has gotten smaller, but thats life. Today it was 1/2 the size of the shrunken version I had always received.. That I wish was the worst part.. I couldn't even eat half of it because it was so incredibly salty and vile that it was truly inedible. I had my sister taste it to make sure it wasn't just me.. She agreed it was inedible. 30 minutes after eating it I was in the bathroom, a headache setting in from the extreme salt and diarrhea hitting from whatever abomination they did in that kitchen. This wasn't just a bad experience, that level of salt can seriously harm people. Whoever was responsible needs to be fired. read more

I was in the mood for breakfast for dinner so stopped in! I'm from WV and love eating local diners. The seating area was welcoming and cozy; I loved all the plaques of sayings on the wall welcoming customers. I went thru the menu, and it has a great selection! I ordered a deluxe omelet with only meat and cheese (the waitress said I could save money this way -- so THANK YOU), hash browns, chocolate milk and a biscuit. While waiting, I saw the self-service fridge items and had to get a slice of lemon pie as well. The wait team was very friendly as I waited for my order. It wasn't a very long wait (and there were several in the restaurant), and my food came up steaming hot and very aromatic. My friend had the Denver scramble, which he liked, but he commented on the over abundance of potatoes. Carpeting was well worn and stained and in great need of replacing. A wooden post separating our booth was full of greasy soiled fingerprints. Prices were reasonable and service was good. Overall, based on taste and lack of cleanliness, I could not in all good conscience recommended this place. read more

Hands down, the best breakfast I've had in my entire life! My husband thinks that I'm over exaggerating but I'm not! I usually don't like eating breakfast out because it is always so expensive and we just eat things we already have at home. But this place- has great prices and the food is amazing! Came here to eat with my family at 11:30am for a nice breakfast, atmosphere is great, servers were running around running the restaurant and cooks we're keeping up with all the customers orders. But who was prepping the food and taking it to tables? Oh that's right, the servers. That's the only reason why they got 2 stars. Worst part of it was having to kill over 20 ants while just waiting for our food. Our lovely server handed me a sanitizer rag so I could clean them off the wall and it was completely disgusting, don't know when the last time the walls were wiped down. I completely understand ants happen but they would be more preventable if the cracks of the booths got cleaned more often. Oh but don't worry we got a good show watching the buster cough on coffee pots, carry straws in his back pocket where his wallet is and instead of walking guests to the tables he just pointed; no words were said just pointed. Oh and no manager was present, but I was able to speak my concerns to the cook that was in charge. If we return we hope they have better cleanliness and an expo person so that the servers aren't running the whole damn restaurant. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. Walked in and was NOT greeted for 10 min while we all stood there. Sign says please wait to be seated. No staff said anything to us and kept walking by. Tried liver and onions for the first time, I'm not sure what a properly served liver should taste like but I likened it to almost like a hamburger bun as it didn't have much seasoning. Definitely would try again, but I hope it's better the next time. They aloud us substitutions, since we both are diabetic and on low carb diets. I don't recommend eating here if you want good service. The owner of the restaurant was either having a bad day or just 100% disrespectful and rude. We simply asked if the table could be wiped down bc there was water rings and obviously not cleaned yet. He mockingly wipes the table with a "really face". Came back and did the same thing with a towel. Asked what we wanted to drink with the MOST attitude. Won't come here again. read more
