I was…read morepeacefully soaking in the bathtub when the water began to swirl, the porcelain groaned, and I was swept away into the mysterious tropical wilderness of Disney World. There, I encountered a peculiar spirit who led me directly to the wave pool. A tremendous wave crashed over me, releasing the spirit from my body--and, in a touching gesture of supernatural gratitude, he purchased me a cup of Dippin' Dots. In all seriousness, Typhoon Lagoon is one of my favorite water parks. The wave pool is fantastic, and Castaway Creek--the lazy river--is wonderfully relaxing. There are plenty of rides for thrill-seekers, while the entire park is beautifully themed around the aftermath of a tropical storm. Even the walking paths are thoughtfully designed, with little water sprayers keeping the pavement damp so your feet don't feel as though they're marching across the surface of the sun. There are plenty of dining and drinking options throughout the park, and the atmosphere is cheerful, immersive, and unmistakably Disney. The after-hours event is also a tremendous amount of fun, especially with the park illuminated at night. Seeing the slides, palm trees, wave pool, and storm-tossed scenery glowing after sunset gives the place an entirely different personality--almost as if the typhoon itself has returned from beyond the grave. Whether you want to relax, ride some excellent attractions, float along the lazy river, or be spiritually cleansed by a six-foot wave before receiving complimentary Dippin' Dots from a benevolent ghost, Typhoon Lagoon is well worth visiting.

The park itself is fun, clean, and once the rain stopped the lines were much shorter. I was also happy to see that the hot water in the showers was finally working again. The last few times we visited there was no hot water, so that was a nice improvement. One area that really needs attention is the bee problem. They were everywhere. My daughter was stung, although I do want to give a huge thank you to the First Aid team. After I removed the stinger, they quickly brought numbing medication and ice, which helped tremendously, and she was able to enjoy the rest of our day. Aquatica should seriously consider investing in professional bee management, including traps or other safe methods to draw bees away from heavily populated guest areas. My biggest concern, however, was employee professionalism. Around 7:44 p.m., outside the Aquatica exit near the employee entrance, I observed what appeared to be an employee rolling what looked like a marijuana joint in plain view. If security cameras cover that area, management should review the footage. In addition, several employees at the food registers seemed more interested in asking girls for their phone numbers than helping the customers who were standing there trying to order food. The park is clearly staffed primarily by teenagers and young adults, which is understandable, but customer service expectations and professionalism need to be reinforced. Overall, we still had a fun day, especially after the weather improved, and the attractions continue to make Aquatica worth visiting. I just hope management addresses the employee conduct issues and the bee problem because both take away from what is otherwise a great water park. Oh also, if you normally use the green life vests, they did do away with those. That's the adult large. They only have XS, medium and xxL. We had the perk of a free water park admission on our check-in day, so of course, we wanted to check out the Disney excellence at Blizzard Beach. The entryway almost feels like you are in Arendelle! Large ski resort buildings with details that exude Disney magic. Icicles dripping from the gutters. Snow banks pushed up against the structures. A cute photo op of melting snowman taking a photo in Disney attire! Plenty of slides. Tons of seating areas. You could easily enjoy an entire day in this waterpark!

In the afternoon, we ordered several platters, and one of them was the charcuterie spread. The Mickey had goat cheese was delicious. All the arrangements were fantastic. We also got the chicken fingers and the nacho bar which I forgot to take pictures of lol because we dug right in. Overall, when going with a group to the water parks, it is definitely worthwhile to all chip in and rent a cabana. 10/10 we would do this again.

Getting in even 30 min early allowed us to set up and get on the water rollercoaster before the crowds came. It wasn't a ton of time and the whole park wasn't open so we were limited as to what we could do and where we could go. Had a great day! The rapid river was the best. Must wear a life jacket in there. Ordered a cheeseburger for lunch and it was good. They do not offer onion though, which was different. Would definitely come back!

While I do miss some of the perks that used to come with the annual pass, it's still the water park that works best for my family, which is why we continue to renew. The park is clean, the attractions are fun for both kids and adults, and there's a good mix of thrill rides and areas to relax. It's a great place to spend a full day making family memories. Customer service can be a bit hit or miss, but many of the employees are younger and still learning, so I try to keep that in perspective. The standout for us is always the lifeguards--they're attentive, professional, and genuinely interact with the kids, helping everyone feel safe while still having fun. Overall, despite the reduced passholder perks over the years, Island H2O continues to offer a fun, family-friendly experience that's worth visiting. We'll definitely be back for another season.

What an underwater adventure. Walked among the fish, stingrays, and on the otherside of the glass were sharks. No previous diving skills required. You don't even have to know how to swim. You sign a waiver prior to entering the water. They give you a short course on rules and how to communicate in the water. They also provide free lockers as well as the wetsuit. I want to return for my birthday celebration as well. We were here for my son's birthday. I enjoyed the rivers as well as the aviary. Can't wait to return. All the employees there was very nice and helpful.

That being said, there are a few downsides: the location is not ideal. It's all the way at the end of the park so you have to walk through Legoland and back when you go. What makes this even more tedious is that there are no towels provided so you have to get all that stuff yourself through the park. The chairs were a bit run down. Only one food booth with limited options and they weren't accommodating at all when I accidentally ordered the wrong fountain drink. I doubt I will come back. The hotel pool is more fun.

The kids absolutely loved the water park, and it was a lot of fun for the whole family. I would also like to recognize the Front Desk team for their excellent customer service, professionalism, and kindness. They deserve a 10 out of 10. And I cannot fail to mention Sandra, the Colombian employee at the restaurant. She was amazing--friendly, charismatic, and provided outstanding customer service. She truly deserves recognition for her excellent work. A perfect 10 out of 10 for Sandra! Overall, we had a good stay, although I believe the hotel's lost-and-found procedures need improvement.

Our check-in experience at this hotel was a complete fiasco. We arrived in the evening only to discover that our reservation had been cancelled because we were two hours late. This happened despite the fact that we had called and sent messages in advance to confirm our arrival and specifically asked them not to cancel the booking. Nevertheless, the reservation was cancelled, and we were forced to make a new one after already waiting in line. At the front desk, the staff insisted it was our fault for not notifying them, even though we had clearly done so. Unfortunately, the real disappointment began when we entered the room. The smell was extremely unpleasant, and since the window did not open, it was impossible to ventilate the space. We requested a different room, and while the second room was slightly better, it still had an unpleasant odor. The pool area was also difficult to tolerate due to a very strong chlorine smell. Overall, the hotel feels very outdated and poorly maintained, making it hard to relax. Even the bar was closed throughout our stay. Overall, a very disappointing experience

Then theres a play area for kids and right next to it is surfing 11am-8pm then lazy river right next to it too. u have to make a reservation for surfing & u get put in a group & take turns. Theres a gym. There a "market" like 7eleven only had smart water. Theres seats & lounges. Its a decent spot. Pay for wut u get. I reccomend. BRING pool toys! There was no wristband thing. Cameras everywhere so safe. I think the staff could be more helpful welcoming charming. The things to do could be more organized as some things are a bit confusing & misleading. The map of the place & getting around isnt too bad , could use more signs though. Ive been to resorts that are just a lot more easy to understand. & yes this includes the website. I didnt see any gold or paddle boat. As i said it was tricky getting help some from someone as the employee around dont know anything and the front desks are just busy. Other resorts have people waiting and standing around looking to help you and sell you stuff, looking to help you have the best time, they play with you and everything. This is my second time staying at the Grove resort in Orlando. We had stayed here previously three…read moreyears ago, which prompted us to book the resort again. A lot has changed the second time around. The pros: 1. Close to Orlando theme parks 2. Decent waterpark The cons: 1. Outdated and dirty property (garbage smell and dirty hallways, and elevators) 2. Dirty rooms and broken furniture 3. Poorly equipped rooms- we only had 2 towels and 2 facecloths for a family of 4 that were in the master bath. Second bathroom did not have towels or facecloths (we had to call the front desk for items) 4. The Kitchen was not fully stocked (no pans for oven, no sharp knives for cutting food, and no cutting board) 5. No housekeeping (we were there for 7 nights and not once did they show up). Did not have broom in the room or cleaning supplies. I had to empty all garbages in room the full stay and place bag in hallway. Garbage was only picked up once a day in hallway. There were always garbage bags in the hallway. 6. You are provided with a "starter kit" of supplies (one sponge for dish washing, one small liquid dishwashing soap, one dishwasher pack, one Tide for washing machine. One paper towel, one pack of toilet paper for each bathroom and 1 box of Kleenex for each bathroom). Once supply is depleted, you are responsible for purchasing additional items. 7. The pool area is overcrowded. If you do not get in line at 9:30 AM (pool area opens at 10 AM) you will not get a seat. I found people go to the pool area early (9:30 AM) drop off their stuff for the day and leave area. That means if you don't get there early to scoff up a spot yourself you are left standing. However, you have the option on spending extra money to 2 rent chairs $$ ($69) or a Cabana $$$ ($250) for the day. I had mentioned this to management and they said there is no way of monitoring this. That if I wanted a guarantee area that I would need to reserve/rent chairs or a cabana. 8. Expensive resort fees, daily. They charge resort fees on the day of arrival and departure. 9. Issue encountered with a booked transportation reservation (through resorts concierge) back to resort (from Epcot). Was left in an extremely dangerous situation by the resorts contracted bus driver. Me and my two kids were left stranded at Epcot. He "did not have the time" to take me and my kids back to the Grove (again, this transportation was pre-booked). He asked us to get off the bus at Epcot. He had to go to another resort (me and my two children were the only guests returning to the Grove). Bus driver said he ordered and paid for an Uber for me and my kids to go back to the Grove (all lies, as he did not order us alternate transportation). Tried calling the resort at 10 PM phone rang, selected front desk and was on hold for over 15 minutes. Was not able to get in touch with front desk at resort (no answer), Finally hung up due to frustration. I had to pay out of pocket for an Uber back to the resort.
