    Vegetarian nachos and pizza.

I came here for lunch with my family and they were accommodating and friendly. We were hoping for vegetarian options and we weren't disappointed. They had many options for food and drinks. There was a ton of things to do like: an arcade, a pool table, and the food was just again so so good and also they had nice decorations and wonderful music!

Wow! All I can say is I wish I lived in Ferndale - I would come to this place more often. District Brewing Ferndale has been opened for only a short period of time and they recently started to offer food options. They now offer bone-in or boneless chicken wings (with lots of sauce options) and burgers. From what I have heard they rent out a kitchen space from a local diner (food is not made in house), but it comes fairly quick and was very hot & fresh when it arrived. I also love the diverse beer and cider selection they have inside. The space itself was impressive. It includes lots of free games (pool, ping pong, board games), TVs, two smaller social gathering rooms, and an arcade. From previous reviews I saw people complaining about the crowds, but that was not an issue for us on the evening we went! Service was great, food & drinks were delicious, and lots of room to socialize and play games with friends. I will definitely be back!

District Brewing is a delightful addition to downtown Ferndale! In addition to their large offering of beer and other beverages, District is providing a large space to entertain the entire family. Arcade games, board games, pool tables, ping pong, multiple televisions, and various seating options. Several "living rooms" and Ferndale theme decor make this brewing company stand out from others. This definitely my new favorite place to meet friends in Ferndale. District Brewing Co. food at the Mount Vernon location is delicious, so I'm looking forward to tasting Ferndale location options once added.

So many different beers how can you decide?! Super-fun and funky atmosphere to celebrate, GO PLAY and meet people. There are a lot of options for free fun games from the past, and board games, and separate rooms with different vibes to hang out in. Or, go outside! Open and easy. My only note is that you must weave through games and people to reach the bathroom--a clear path would be safer and better for all.

While visiting the northern Washington coast, a good friend of mine said, "I've got to take you to an amazing brewery!" This was a great idea since traveling the nation full time and visiting breweries is my thing. 43 states in four years and literally hundreds of breweries visited and put to the test. Today we walked into District Brewing in Ferndale, WA. My review?... I have zero idea if they are the best brewery in the Northwest. What I do know is that they are NOT ADA law compliant. As my wife and service dog lead me to the counter (oh, btw, I'm site impaired and an obvious entire leg amputee), we were greated by a young man who immediately informed us that "you can order your beer here but then need to take the dog outside". My wife explained that I'm site impaired and obviously need help walking, and he replied, "that being said, you can order here, but then you need to go outside". We informed him that he was not being ADA compliant, and elaborated on the fact that she was a working service dog, specializing in site leading and stability, and he said, "sorry, people have brought service dogs in before and they chewed on the furniture so you'll need to go outside". We went outside... to Fringe Brewing down the street. They, and their beers, were amazing!!!

Place is fun but busy since there was a birthday party! But the beers are tasty--we did a flight to try multiple!

For what feels like no apparent reason. The bartender slinging beers--truly seemed annoyed and miserable with his life. And then the woman taking food orders? Also acted very inconvenienced. It was just kind of unsettling and unwelcoming. And then there's the part about the unexplained wait time for our food order. My sister ordered after us and received her brisket nachos in what felt like a timely manner. 10-15-20 minutes went by before we finally inquired about the wait of our brisket poutine. The same lady who took our order just matter-of-factly told us, "it's still being worked on," before another employee came to offer more of an explanation, stating that their ticket system had failed and missed some orders. At that point, we just wanted to cancel the order altogether and get on our way, but we were assured that it was being prepared. So then we opted to take it to go. Overall, what a wildly disappointing dining experience. Our to-go poutine had 3 whole cheese curds (had to pay for extra) and brisket that looked like dog kibble. I hate to dog on establishments, but this is one I really cannot recommend.

District is a fave of mine in Mount Vernon, so I was eager to see if this Lynden location lived up to their og brewery. First, because you were probably wondering, YES they have the ahhhhmazing, thick-crust wood-fired pizza that District is known for. They also have the full District tap list, along with guest taps, plus cider, wine, and some NA options, too. The service was pretty friendly, too, and if you're a DB "frequent flyer" yes, your points transfer between locations. If you're looking for District beer, District pizza, District salads, and epic District wings, they've got you covered. Now, for the part that really didn't work for me: the atmosphere. It was really more like a family-friendly sports bar than chill brewery vibe. This surprised me, as (at least last time I was there!) the MV location doesn't have giant flatscreens in every room blaring the big game loudly over the sound of your pizza. I mean, if I was looking to watch a game this would be a great place to go. But I wasn't. And being as it was a quiet Sunday afternoon with literally nobody else in the place...the loud games really detracted from the whole experience. Speaking of sports, if you're a follower of local HS sports you'll love the north county-centric sports memorabilia around the restaurant! From cheerleader uniforms to football helmets, it was really eclectic and cool to see so many local youth sports stars being remembered in such a fun way. But it was still darn loud in there. Good pizza, though!
