Traveling through town and decided to stop in after reading reading reviews for District Eatz! Because I still had a bit of way to travel, I was hoping to grab some thing I could take with me in the car. When going into the restaurant I was taken aback by how cool the decor was and the atmosphere the place was emitting. This definitely seems like a cool place to grab a bite and hang out with friends so that was pretty nice to see. The menu displayed so many different options I was very bummed that I wasn't able to try out more food. I decided to grab the breakfast burrito with sausage so that way I could take it on the go with me. The burrito itself is pretty large and I was not disappointed with the fillings. It was stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage, and some chipotle sauce which was a nice touch. Even though the burrito was packed full of deliciousness, it was able to hold up its shape in the car. I'm so glad I stopped in. Came in today to try their new sangria and also purchased a Powercat smoothie ($7.46)! The smoothie is very thin and so many ice chunks, the taste is alright. I will not be purchasing a smoothie from them again. I got the rose sangria as well as part of their promotion for the day, regular price is $8. It's not too sweet and the fruit is very refreshing, which I like! However, it was also not very strong and tasted very watered down. The staff was very kind and welcoming! I do not recommend this place at all but if you do go DO NOT order anything that has chicken. I ordered a Mac and cheese and salad with chicken and it literally tasted like vomit. It was inedible and had to be thrown away. I don't know how they are cooking that chicken but it stinks, has no seasoning, and is somehow rancid. Also normally I don't really care for service at all, but it is concerning how bad it is here. On a quiet Sunday morning, staff members frequently had their backs turned to the counter while engrossed in their phones. I ordered a latte and a drip coffee with almond milk, but both were undrinkable. The "latte" was just drip coffee with cold milk, and the drip coffee was lukewarm with an unknown addition. Returning the drinks, the cashier showed a slight attitude, provided no discount, and remained silent. The avocado toast we ordered was only okay. When I inquired about a refund, the same cashier seemed upset and sought assistance. Overall, this experience is unfortunately common in the area, falling short of very low expectations. An empty establishment with unresponsive teens on their phones is likely to result in a poor experience...Shame on me for not trusting my instincts! read more

Went here specifically for an açaí bowl and was so pleased with the quality of the bowl and staff! Everyone was extremely nice and understanding that it was my first time there. I ordered the nutty açaí bowl and it was way bigger than expected (a good thing)!! One the way out, I always received a free one (not sure if they messed up an order or why) and not sure what kind that was but had Nutella and was delicious! I love getting açaí bowls from here. I am a huge fan of their Nutella açaí bowl. My friends are fans of the peanut butter açaí bowl. They have lots of options to choose from so you are able to build your own fruit or smoothie bowl. I recall there being pitaya and coconut options. The service has declined over the past year. The açaí bowl portion sizes are decent but rarely do they have more than the açaí base. Was crowded on a Sunday after church but between fulfilling pick-up/delivery orders and seemingly newer staff we waited quite a while for our food. Tried this place twice. First time I got the Mac and cheese and an empanada. The mac and cheese is odd. I can't tell what kind of cheese they use but it's not cheddar. Had a strange flavor. The portion is small and they didn't put enough cheese sauce on it. It was a bit dry in places. The beef empanada was pretty good. The spicy chicken one was not good at all. First, there was no spice or heat to it at all. Second, It was more of a glob of shredded chicken mixed with something like cream cheese plopped into the shell. It didn't melt or spread through the empanada. No flavor to it. I only had a few bites and then tossed it. The staff appears to be all high school kids with little to no training. They group behind the counter chatting and are not attentive to customers. The first time I came in the manager(maybe owner) noticed two people that had been standing waiting for their order for a while when she called to the kids to ask where it was. Turns out it had been made and was just sitting on the back counter as the kids chatted. The second time I came in I was the only one in line and there were 7 teens behind the counter making drinks and talking. Took a solid minute for anyone to great me or take my order. read more

I can't believe I live a mile from district eatery in Clifton and didn't know anything about it until my sister from our of town can to visit and told me about it. Decided to try their chicken shawarma wrap and it's good. The pita bread is soft and warm, the shawarma is tasty, and the tzasicki sauce is good. It comes with chips. I'll start out by saying we really wanted to love this place. We live down the street and it looked like a fun place to take our kids. We were wildly disappointed from the first moment we stepped in. First off, it is staffed by incredibly rude teenagers. We walked in for dinner with our family of five including three young kids on a Sunday night when the place was empty except for one couple. The girls behind the counter broke out into laughter as soon as we walked in. Not sure if we were the punchline or if it was bad timing...either way not a great first impression. We almost turned around and left right then but our kids saw the toys and had other ideas. After laughing in our faces, the employees didn't otherwise acknowledge us or talk to us (which is also super rude). They eventually took our orders (after I stood at the counter for a good while waiting for an acknowledgment). The bathrooms are filthy. No toilet paper. No soap. Reminiscent of a run down youth club. Dust and crumbs everywhere. I'd hate to see the condition of the kitchen. At one point I had to ask myself if this was an abandoned frat house or a restaurant? When the food came out, I thanked the employee who handed it to us and she said nothing. We were really hungry so we dug in to find out that everything was pretty much inedible. The mac 'n cheese was congealed. My daughter, who usually loves mac 'n cheese, wouldn't touch it. The salad was wet and soggy. The meat was dry, cold, and rubbery -- but covered in a ton of dressing in a poor attempt to try to mask the bad flavor/texture. We heard an employee hacking up a lung in the back. Everything tasted like it had been pre-prepared, placed in the fridge for a few days (dried out), and then nuked in the microwave (rubbery). The only silver lining is that my kids had fun playing with the toys they had out. Great idea, horrible execution. read more
