    Buffalo chicken salad.
    Lance J.

I decided to go here on a Saturday afternoon to try something new. Although listed in the "cheap eats" category, the buffalo chicken salad (really a chipotle chicken salad) was good, had lots of crunchy cucumbers, onions, and a couple kinds of lettuce. The diced tomatoes were a nice touch. The chicken was a baked chicken cut into 0.25-1.25 nugget sizes. From the title, I was expecting the chicken to carry the seasoning and was hoping for blue cheese dressing. Neither applied to this salad. That said, the chipotle ranch had a pleasant, mild spice and was big for $11.50. Just be sure to ask for extra napkins. The plastic silverware only comes with one, bifold napkin with no extras out for supplementation.

TL;DR: decent food, great space, takes a little long for food TO-GO REVIEW Stopped by here to grab some breakfast and took a long look at the menu. They have a lot of options, from healthier/more nutritious options to down right just yummy things (that I haven't tried). The location is large and clean. Service was nice, but food took a while (~20 minutes). FOOD: ~Breakfast quesadilla (5/5): Really tasty and large portion ~Sausage, Egg, and Cheese croissant (3/5): A little plain/bland. Needed a sauce of sorts The menu looks really good, and would love to come back and try their Acai bowls, sandwiches, and pancakes/french toasts.

Egg sausage cheese croissant.... That size of the sausage??

We ordered the loaded breakfast burrito and egg sausage cheese croissant. Very disappointed. Little to no chipotle sauce in the burrito (also no hash browns) and the size of the croissant given with one tiny sausage was ridiculous. For the price, not worth it.

I should have listen to other people before coming here for food. Let me just say their shakes are good but the food is way below average. An avocado toast that barely even has a half avocado all together in it and soggy. Also the place smelled like a they have been burning and using year old oils for cooking. I'm mean it was gross. The guy used his bare hands to put the left over ice cream from the scoop back into the bucket. Like where the heck the hygiene here. They obviously don't care about the place and its customers.

Got the açaí bowl - the capital bowl and it was pretty good! The fruit was fresh and they gave a lot of it. They also gave a generous amount of granola. The restaurant is quaint and lots of seating. The reason I'm taking away a star is that the man who took my order was kind of rude... very curt and short (it was my first time here so I was confused). Overall the açaí bowl is good- the service was mid.

I ordered from District Eatz recently for pick up. I ordered the 9th street bowl with extra granola. The bowl was extremely satisfying and fulling. I am a huge fan of this place. They have a solid menu option from waffles to quesadillas. I am really interested in trying their waffles.

    Empanada and Quesadillas !!!

Went there Friday early evening . Ordered Two kinds Empanada and Chicken Quesadilla . They served the food warm . Looks like the food at this place is pre - made . I had to tell them to reheat the food . Empanadas was full of potatoes not much spicy pork . Chorizo Empanada same . Where is the meat ??? The casing was tough not crunchy at all . Bit soggy . My quesadilla was just plain frozen pre- cut chicken with processed cheese . Not much flavor at all . There were no sauce available to enhance the flavor .

This place is all hype- I'm sorry! The smoothie bowl was VERY sweet. Really only good for the gram- not health conscious at all. This is a disguised place that is just an IG trap. I couldn't even finish it. The coffee was OK. Prices are expensive. I won't be coming back!

    Waffle with strawberry and Nutella

I had been craving waffles for weeks so I was very excited to try District Eats! The staff was helpful when taking my order and answering questions. I ordered the waffle ($10) with strawberries and Nutella and the Chicken Buffalo Melt ($9.50). Both dishes were served quickly. I docked two stars because I was horrified that both of these dishes were made with prepackaged ingredients. The waffle was clearly out of package. It was not warm or crispy on the edges. The chicken was flavorful but it also had hallmarks of being pre-packaged. At this price point and with the atmosphere of the restaurant, I expected high quality, healthful ingredients and what I received was unacceptable. I didn't come to a restaurant for breakfast to be fed basically fast food. I may return to try an Açaí bowl but only if they use actual fresh fruit.

Sausage Egg & Cheese Croissant and Bacon Omelette

Tired this place for the first time and was very disappointed. I walked in and waited in line for 5 min for someone to take my order. The young blond behind the counter instead took the order of what looked like to be her friends from school who walked in a few minutes after me. Another guy behind the counter took my order instead. No one was friendly to me or welcoming. After placing our order we waited at least 20 minutes for an omelet and sausage egg and cheese croissant. I almost walked out but wanted to give them a chance. Also the back door was propped open all the way letting so much cold air in the dinning area. Not everyone likes it 60 degrees inside! Food was okay. Not worth the wait or price or unfriendly service. Store needs to worry less about the 'vibe' and more about the service and train employees better.

Yessss finally a place that has açaí bowls in centreville!!! The family who owns this place are so amazing and they have great staff at this location. Right away we were helped and got our order put in. They have lots of options but obviously I'm here for the açaí bowls. They were delicious and filling! The high schoolers got it good with this right down the street.

This is now my go to for an Acai bowl craving. First time was via Uber eats. This time we went in person and sat outside. They brought out these beauties to our table. Nice touch. Absolutely delicious. I love the interior concept and that it is a hangout spot for the local high school. We did sit outside because it was a touch loud with the HSers. Wish my kids local HS had a similar place to hang and grab delicious food. I'll be back to try more menu items. Thank you!

I only ever get the acai bowls from here so I can only speak to that but they're great! Never really had acai bowl cravings until I had one from here. Fruits are fresh, granola crunchy, and service is quick. Definitely recommend .

Everything definitely tasted homely and delicious, with a clean flavor. All of the items were amazing and we are definitely looking to go back. In fact, we are cake tasting for a wedding and this bakery is a top contender out of 6 different Asian bakeries we've been to. The interior is quaint and was decently sized. There were some paintings from a local artist on sale hanging in the walls! It's a really calm place on the inside, the only downside is that it is located right off the road, like RIGHT off the road and I almost missed the lot going in.

The service was…read moregreat--I asked if they could split two full-size Thai tea boba drinks in half for my little ones, and they happily did it with no hesitation. Even with four cups, they still filled mine generously, which I really appreciated. The disappointment came once we started drinking. It honestly tasted like milk with unsweetened boba. I don't mind if the boba isn't sweet as long as the drink has enough flavor, but in this case, the milk flavor was overpowering, and the tea was barely noticeable. We also ordered a bean pastry, which was surprisingly delicious! It was sweet, and if you didn't know it was made with beans, you probably wouldn't even notice. Overall, I'd be open to going back. I'm not sure if the overly milky flavor was a fluke from splitting the drinks or if that's just their usual recipe. The café itself is cute with cozy vibes. It's right off a main road (Route 29). Parking is available on the side and in the back, and there's a decent amount of seating. Just note they close at 9 PM, so if you're looking for a late-night café spot, this may not be the best option.

The size is very small tho (you only have one choice) 4.5/5 - Honey Cinnamon Latte: tastes like cereal, which wasn't my favorite but still good. 3.5/5 - CHICKEN MUSHROOM ON FOCACCIA: bacon, swiss cheese, mushroom, caramelized onion, ranch - THIS WAS MY FAVORITE. So so delicious with the caramelized onions and the crunch of the bacon. 1000000/5 - CHIPOTLE CHICKEN ON FOCACCIA: swiss cheese, sun dried tomatoes, arugula, chipotle crema - delicious but the chicken mushroom had that extra flare, this one tasted healthier and more fresh. 4/5 - THE BURRATA ON CIABATTA: burrata cheese, tomato, arugula, basil pesto, fig spread, balsamic glaze, fresh pepper, olive oil - I'm a sucker for burrata, this had flavor and a great veggie option. 4.5/5

Service | Chicken & Waffles | Raspberry Latte…read more Service - The service was the weak point of the experience. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with, but overall the service was slow and inattentive. I'm not sure if he was covering multiple sections, but we visited on a Friday morning when the restaurant appeared to be about 65-75% full, so it didn't seem overwhelmed. Chicken & Waffles - Overall, a tasty dish. The chicken was flavorful, and the waffle was well prepared. My main critique is the ratio. There was significantly more waffle than chicken--roughly a 5:8 ratio. Personally, I prefer a 1:1 chicken-to-waffle ratio so that every bite has the perfect balance. Good meal, but the portion balance could be improved. Raspberry Latte - The highlight of the visit. The raspberry flavor complemented the coffee perfectly without being overpowering. It was smooth, well-balanced, and something I would absolutely order again. Why Not Five Stars? - The slow service. We noticed several tables in our section experiencing the same issue. One outdoor table waited a long time for drinks and didn't receive their food until we were halfway through our meal, despite arriving before us. Pro Tip: There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy. After your meal, take some time to walk around the town. It's charming, pedestrian-friendly, and worth exploring.

I had been told what a great spot this was for breakfast and lunch by so many people, so when a friend invited me, I couldn't wait to try it out. Whether you are looking for a savory crepe with coffee or avocado toast with a mimosa bucket, you can get it all here. I could probably dine here every morning for a year and get something different every time! There's plenty of seating inside and outside the restaurant, and dogs are welcome for outdoor seating. (When my friend brought a frenchie she was petsitting, several employees asked if we needed water or other items for her!) There are also umbrellas for the outdoor tables for sunny mornings. I've received great recommendations from my servers, and they are knowledgeable about their extensive menu. Even when we've had complicated orders, everything has always been perfect, and I've enjoyed my experience every time. I look forward to many delicious visits to Clifton Cafe in the future!
