    Drunken noodles

We visited District for my Bday Dinner! We were craving Thai & a nice ambiance. During the week the restaurant is fairly quiet! Our waiter & hosts were very nice! I ordered the Massaman Curry without the cashews and my Fiancé ordered the Drunken Noodles! Both were very very tasty! However, I wish I had ordered the drunken noodle lol. Lots of Flavor and a nice portion size! The Massaman was good, just not as flavorful as the noodles. Our waitress was very attentive & informative about the different dishes my Fiancé was interested in & helped him make a very good decision lol. Overall, District is very tasty. I would go back for the Drunken Noodles & possibly other dishes on the menu. However, the prices for their food are rather high compared to other thai restaurants we're used to & I'm assuming it's dur to being located in The Avalon. No biggie! There were no cons!

After a long day of shopping we decided to stop by District III for a quick bite. We ordered the chicken fried rice, papaya salad, eggrolls and their crab dip. Skip the papaya salad here, this is probably the worst I've ever had. The chicken fried rice was good but the crab dip was delicious. The service was pretty mediocre.

Checked out District III in the Avalon for a weekday dinner recently. They were a participant restaurant in the date night at the Avalon. So for that they had a limited menu of items for us. We decided to go with shrimp rolls for an appetizer that came with a sweet chili sauce. That was really good! For my entree I got the District III steak. It was really good and came with a Thai sauce and sticky rice. I had enough to take home. For desert we got the sticky rice mango which was so good! The customer service was really good and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu!

The pho is delicious and the lychee martini is even better! They do not skimp out on the meat in the pho. I love the aura of the place. It's classy yet inviting. I went during a week night and it was busy but not overly crowded. I was able to find a seat right away and the service was fast!

If this restaurant wasn't located in the Avalon it would probably have struggled to stay busy. We ordered a good number of appetizers and all of them were mediocre at best. Just look at the salt and pepper shrimp.....undercooked. Crab fried rice was probably the only dish that was slightly better than average. Overall all dishes lacked flavor and almost all of them were predominantly more sweet than savory. Most disappointing Vietnamese food I've ever had. Service - 3.5/5 Food - 3/5 Ambience - 3/5

Stopped by after a little retail therapy to enjoy a light lunch at District III. We started with cool cocktails and ( served hot) appetizers. The Walnut shrimp served with candied walnuts on chopped lettuce is wonderful. Just wished more of the sauce hit the lettuce. Plus a nice shredded lettuce instead of chopped makes for a beautiful presentation. The second appetizer was the shrimp and pork egg rolls. Hot crispy and very tasty when dipped in the light sauce. Excellent choice as a starter. The Entrees we selected were the Shrimp in garlic sauce over noodles. The sauce was light and very garlicky. The shrimp were perfectly pink. Then the D3 pad Thai spot on with the sweet sauce, crushed peanuts and bean sprouts plus egg. The location is wonderful, the ambiance beautiful. The staff was very friendly. Bring your patient especially if you have kids the food does not come out super fast. But when it does it is so worth the wait. We truly enjoyed our meal and hope to bring others back with us.

My review is based solely off of takeout. I never dined in the actual restaurant I got the roti, shrimp egg rolls and shrimp garlic noodle. The roti was okay but small for $5 that Doordash had starved for it. Egg rolls were the best part of my order. Tasty and not too greasy The garlic noodle is where I struggled. For my taste, I didn't enjoy it. They did not skimp on the garlic at all - that was all I got. It overpowered any other kind of flavor that the food had. There was no spice at all too, so that didn't help. I'd definitely try to visit the restaurant and try other things off the menu! @featuringabi on IG

Holy smokes! The food is delicious! Hate to give up my new Thai food go to spot, but this place should really be busy and more talked about! Right across from the Avalon hotel on the corner next to mf sushi... get you some!

It was our first visit, the food was better than what we thought they would be. I liked my cocktail, it was spicy but in a perfect way, my salmon and shrimp was crispy and tangy, I loved the sauce on my rice! My kids enjoyed theirs too. Everyone was very nice and friendly. We like the ambiance, it was quiet with some calm music. We will be back for more delicious food for sure!

The service and inside was amazing! My waiter was nice and made sure everything was good. The inside of District III is SO pretty, and is very instagramable. However, I expected better for my food. Compared to other Pho places, there was more grease and was not as seasoned as I preferred. I think if I had ordered something else, I would've had a different opinion.

Cute little restaurant at the Avalon. Not your typical Vietnamese spot though. The food was more Asian fusion. Everything was okay. The pho was not good and it was expensive. The broth could have been more flavorful and the noodles was hard. The fish sauce for the spring rolls was very light. The spring rolls were a good size though. The drunken noodle was good but too spicy to enjoy. Vietnamese coffee felt like it didn't have enough condensed milk in it. The fish sauce wings was okay as well.. needed more flavor. Service was good, our server was there for refills and everything we need. The food was just lacking some seasoning.

I like the flavor of their foods, but I feel like it's a bit overpriced for their portions (I'm looking at you, seafood clay rice bowl). The egg roll appetizer was good, but I wished they would've used the leafy parts of green lettuce so we could better wrap our eggrolls instead of the tough parts of lettuce. I actually think this place is more of a 3/3.5, but considering there aren't too many Vietnamese restaurants in the area and this place does have quite an extensive menu, I'll bump it to a 4.

I got the pad kee mao with beef, along with the chicken and shrimp dumplings. The pad kee mao was absolutely delicious - flavorful and umami, and a good portion too. The veggies stayed crunchy in the dish which I appreciated. The dumplings were alright, wouldn't order again. I also got a mocktail - I wish I was in Thailand - which was absolutely delectable. Nice jazz was playing, there was a low to moderate conversation buzz in the air, and the overall atmosphere was cozy. This is a great place for a date or special meal. Our server was very hospitable and took very good care of us during our visit. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails - a mojito and a lychee martini; coconut shrimp, chicken and shrimp dumplings as appetizers; then entrees of Chilean sea bass and braised beef short ribs massaman... served a la flambé! We were pleased with the flavors and portions of our dishes, and everything was so beautifully adorned. I'd definitely return as there were several other dishes I want to try!
