Great coffee at this walk through establishment. The service is attentive and engaging. Fancy Donuts to delight the sweet tooth, and biscuit breakfast sandwiches if you're hungry. My favorite is the iced coffee, which must be cold drip of some high quality beans and solid roasting.

On our way to the zoo, we stopped for a quick snack. We tried the cinnamon roll and a couple of drinks. Unfortunately, we were not huge fans of the cinnamon roll. The flavor was a little strange, and the texture between the hard sugar glaze--think cream brulee--and the slightly undercooked dough was off-putting. The drinks were good. The service was fine, and the order was ready quickly. It would have been nice if they had wormed it up a little more, which might have fixed the texture issue. There is nowhere to sit inside at this location, but a couple of small benches are attached to the outside of the building where there is some shade.

This place was a short walk from where I was staying. I checked the reviews and me and my wife decided to give it a try. The building is small but nice inside. I read about bad service, but did not experience this. We were greeted warmly and even joked with the barista. My wife ordered salted caramel latte and I ordered the fresh squeezed lemonade. She enjoyed her latte and said it was good. My lemonade was AMAZING! We also ordered a glazed doughnut which we both found tasty. The bacon, egg and cheese kolache was also good.

Cinnamon Bun ($4.75) & Vietnamese Iced Coffee - 12oz ($4.60)

I was in the mood for a cinnamon roll, and a quick search online told me that District Donut was the place to try! The cinnamon roll was unlike any I've had before: it was fluffy, generously filled with cream cheese frosting, and brûléed on top, adding a really delicious, crunchy layer of caramelized sugar ($4.75). It was also huge - it filled the entire doughnut box! I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee, which honestly was disappointing. I'm not accustomed to NOLA coffee shops' use of crushed ice, and I can safely say I am not a fan. There was so much ice and so little coffee, and the coffee itself tasted weak (with no distinguishable chicory flavor)...mostly like condensed milk. In total, I got five sips of coffee - at $4.60 for the cup, that's almost $1 a sip! The shop is tiny, basically a grab-and-go. It has limited outdoor seating, but the seats have seen better days, were sticky with some unknown substance, and were missing slats of wood. We ended up walking across the street to Whole Foods, which has ample outdoor seating. I definitely thought the cinnamon roll was worth the stop in, and given the high quality of the baking, I'd check out one of their more full-service locations in the future.

If you're on magazine street, this is the place to stop for coffee. This was the first place I've tried a Vietnamese coffee and instantly fell in love. I just LOVE this spot. They even added outdoor picnic tables so you can sit outside and enjoy your coffee.

Cute little donut coffee shop. We arrived in the rain so it was easy breezy and all to ourselves. I chose the Vietnamese Iced Coffee donut along with the Caramel Glaze Latte. I enjoyed both although I was slightly underwhelmed with my donut. It was coffee glaze, condensed milk pastry cream, tapioca pearls and chicory sugar- sounds phenomenal but I couldn't really and truly identify the flavors which may partly be my own fault for ordering a latte too rich in flavor. When it got time for my donut, it wasn't a party in my mouth as I was expecting. The condensed milk was a little watered down so not as thick and sweet as expected. Overall it's a donut...so I'm not mad at it but definitely wasn't as amazing for me as it sounded. They have plenty of options but noted no vegan ones which was a bummer for my husband whose plant based but they had good beverage options with non-dairy substitutes. In South Florida we're used to every spot having at least one option whether it's a donut, a muffin, a something...that's plant-based but in either case it's a sweet spot.

GET THE BRÛLÉED CINNAMON ROLL. If you love sweets, it is a must!!! Cozy & hip little coffeehouse in the heart of Magazine Street, they have a delicious array of donuts and baked goods on display at the front counter. Their menu also offers interesting coffee choices (like lavender & Vietnamese iced), along with savory choices (like Croque Madame & Monte Cristo sandwiches). There's just enough to choose from, and (visually speaking) everything looks delicious... We had already eaten breakfast when we stumbled upon this place on our stroll. So, we only tried the infamous cinnamon roll and a berries & cream donut... OMG, both were phenomenal! This isn't just any ordinary donut shop - it's where you'll find an elegant snack that will likely taint you from getting your breakfast goodies anywhere else. So good!!!

Stopped by for breakfast and we got the bacon, egg and cheese biscuits (they're huge!) pumpkin & pineapple fritters and coffees. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and really hit the spot after a night of drinking on bourbon street. The fritter was tasty and paired well with our coffee. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again. There is outdoor seating and service is good.

I would give this place a negative 0 if I could...terrible service!!! We arrive literally standing in line for 10:59 and we were informed we could not order breakfast. The manager was a totally butt about accommodating PAYING CUSTOMERS. This is not how you do business! I'm a professional on many levels and I know how business should be conducted! No WONDER their location in Baton Rouge is closing. You can't thrive with terrible service in this industry! #districtdonuts The Magazine Street location.

This location is unlike District Donut's other venues, which are all decent-sized restaurants, most of which I seem to have been to. This one's just a little hut with coffee, donuts, and a few other things but not, sadly, the delicious beet-based veggie burgers the other locations have. But that's okay; you're probably here for the donuts. And they offer the same donuts as they do at all the other locations. There's nowhere in this little space to make them; I saw them being carried in on trays, presumably from the other Uptown location. And those donuts remain ludicrously ostentatious, with premium-sounding flavors that generally live up to the names. I sampled a black and gold, some kind of peanut butter and banana thing that I believe is in support of the local football team, as well as a horchata donut stuffed with some kind of cinnamon-flavored cream. They're expensive, but totally worth it for the occasional treat. Rarely does something look, sound, and taste so good.

I've been meaning to review District Donut for a while now. Their coffee is great, and I'm a particular fan of their cold brew. And, as the name suggests, their donuts are very good too, with the standout being their brûlée'd cinnamon roll, which is just phenomenal. (It's worth trying the breakfast sandwich too, though it could use a nice sauce.)

Do yourself a favor and stop by this place if you are in the area (and even if you are not)! We were looking for a place to get a quick bite to eat while waiting to visit the zoo. A quick search on Yelp found this place, and when I saw that they offered kolaches, I knew we had to go! They had a nice assortment of biscuit and kolaches for breakfast, each made fresh daily and warmed up for you upon selection. We couldn't decide, so we got an assortment and sampled a little bit of each. The biscuits were soft and buttery, and the kolaches were just little bundles of heaven. They also have a different assortment of donuts every day, freshly made, and they all looked amazing.

When Velvet coffee closed before I could try it, I was disappointed, but I believe this had taken its place around the time I was in New Orleans. I anticipated this place, since I felt like at the time, New Orleans didn't really have any great cafes that offered the whole package. Initially, this place was a bit disorganized, but it did pick up, and the coffee is pretty decent. While on the expensive side, they are one of the better places to grab a cuppa joe in New Orleans, something more along the lines of the 'third wave' of coffee. Their matcha was also delicious, but expensive, along with their pies. They have pretty interesting flavors and creations for their pies, but again, expensive for what it is. The ambience is hipster, rustic, and local, with limited seating. You can tell the interior has been well thought through and the service is pretty friendly most of the time. Their donut and slider place is good as well, with more seating and a larger fare.

I'm not much of a coffee person but I crave the iced lavender latte. Currently my favorite place to grab a latte.

King Cake: Given a regular one by our neighbor as a thank you: 5 stars…read more Donut holes to go: Love the early morning staff; great variety of holes, reasonably priced; usually in and out in under 5 min.: 5 stars. Now let's talk about breakfast: Weekday around lunch. About 1/4 of seats taken. As best I could tell, 2 or 3 servers. Coffee, OJ and soda brought promptly after ordering. FYI - drinks reasonably priced. I opted for Spinach & Swiss omelette, hash browns well done and biscuit. He opted for Meatlover's omelette, hash browns and toast. 25 minutes later breakfast was served. Husband's order was fine: tasty omelette, and the toast was well buttered. Mine? The Swiss was sticking out of the omelette and it was a slice not melted. The cheese inside the omelette was melted, and overall it had good flavor. The hash browns had good flavor, but they were not well done. The biscuit was not buttered - there was butter on the table - and it was nice and dense to support slathering it in jelly. The waitress checked on us a couple of times. I made no comment whether it was good or bad, because I was going to eat it anyway. As a general rule I don't send things back, and in this instance given the time it took to get it, I was starved and certainly wasn't sending it back. Leftovers box and checkout was super quick. This experience: 2 stars; averaging to 4 stars for restaurant overall. Will continue to use for pastries, but won't be back for another sit down experience.

The eggs and grilled pork chops were delicious. Good coffee too!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!

I paired it with the shrimp and it was tasty! According to the hop on/off bus the beignets & champagne are the hit at this cafe. The bartender made a wonderful cocktail with champagne & it was delicious! The spot is dog friendly & in a cute little restaurant/bar row & shops area.
