Service was great. Store was clean. Minimal space inside to find a seat. Sucks that they were out of cold brew when I went. I bought their Campesino Latte and Not Your Regular Mocha. Both drinks were okay. Nothing that would make me want to go back for. Minimal coffee dedicated shops in San Pedro which is why I went to this one. Prices are average for what a normal cup of coffee costs nowadays. Don't think I'll be coming back here. If you haven't tried them, I would first give them a shot. You might have a better experience.

A wonderful local coffee shop serving unique Aramaic coffee beans and delicious pastries. The staff is friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting experience from the moment you walk in. There's street parking available nearby, and the cozy atmosphere is enhanced by music playing from the vinyl record player, giving the space a relaxed, vintage feel. Great vibe, excellent coffee and a comfortable place (inside and outside seating), to spend some time. Highly recommend!

Love this place -- ordered the Cafe de Olla and a vegan protein-packed pistachio chia seed parfait -- yummy! Their sweet bread with Dulce de Leche was also delicious! There is seating available indoors, and street parking. The staff were over the top friendly and helped me with my decision on what to order -- awesome! Would definitely be back since I get my haircut in the area, this will be my be go to spot in town.

Things I loved about Distrito: The coffee (duh), minimal decor, patient and friendly service. They also play vinyl records... like what else can you ask for?! Was on vacation and hadn't had a decent cup of coffee in daysss so I was fiending for a tasty caffeine fix. Left the San Pedro pier area and straight over to Distrito. Located in a small old town shopping strip, there aren't a lot of parking lots, but we managed to find meter parking rather quickly. Seems to the be the popping neighborhood spot. There was a line and I could see that the 2 employees were making orders with such care that I knew the wait would be worth it. The vibe was super chill. Neo soul tunes on vinyl had me right away. The music complimented the clean lines and chill ambiance Distrito gave off from the first step inside. Small menu, wish I was hungry so that I could have tried a tasty pastry. Ordered my go to vanilla latte with almond milk. Hit the spot just like I had expected. I was doing a little happy dance inside. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm heading right over.

Hipster coffee joint to the extreme Wandering the streets of San Pedro, just finished a cup of coffee from a nautically themed coffee place and saw this place open up as well. Was on vacation, so I figured why not get another cup of coffee and be really awake. Inside, it's what I consider to be minimalistically hipster. There's a simple barista station, a toast tablet register, a singular shelf on the wall with records, and nothing else in the place. It borders on the edge of either being very hipster or just not decorated at all. Which I can respect, although I suspect someone with some artistic touches needs to come in and make the space feel more inhabited than it currently is. I get the not your mama's mocha. A Mexican chocolate latte and hibiscus cake because they looked good. Drink took a little while to make because they had to do most everything by hand. Took my pics and took my sips. The earthy, spiced chocolate paired with the light and fruity coffee worked well in terms of flavor contrast. The chocolate didn't have a lot of cocoa solids in it which lead to a bit of grittiness in the coffee. For denser chocolates, you got to put in more fat to help emulsify everything. So probably swapping the whole milk to half and half, melting the chocolate in the cream then frothing to layer in the latte might've been a better choice to help with texture. The hibiscus cake was soft, moist, and very floral. Not too sweet, but just the right hint of sugar to make it sweet enough. A very delicate but tasty bite. Price was pretty high. Both items coming out to about 16 bucks. Not a cheap bite, but pretty good for what you get. It's a very trendy coffee shop, asking for a lot for a little but giving a good cup of joe in return. It's not a place I would seek out, but for the area it's pretty good.

If you're looking for an early morning cup of joe to get you going, Distrito is a great option if you're in Pedro.. Forget Starbucks and the other chains that serve bitter, over roasted coffee sitting for hours. I'm in the area for early morning meetings from time to time and Distrito opens at 7 am. Distrito is my main option. My go to here and usual is a cold brew. Distrito doesn't roast their own coffee but they do use local roasters. One being Piscaresca Barra from Boyle Heights which I'm a fan of. I'm not sure where they source their pastries but I did order a chocolate croissant that wasn't fresh. Tasted a day or two old. I should of asked even though they did offer to heat it up (not the same fresh daily). Cool spot to chill with a few spots to sit and read book or kill some time.

5 Wow. The campesino syrup makes everything taste even better. Loved the vegan protein options. We had an iced matcha latte with campesino syrup and the campesino latte with almond milk. Delicious lemon and coconut vegan protein bowl. Would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this coffee spot. I drove from Hermosa Beach to try this place out. I tend to order a quad on ice, pretty simple. I find a good well-versed coffee shop knows what to do with that order and the ones that struggle are the ones I probably don't re-visit. I visited a coffee shop down the street from Distrito Coffee and was not pleased with how they priced their quad on ice (it's often over-charged because it's not ordered correctly by the cashier). That was no the case here! The two guys working there were super laid back and friend. I loved the charming vibe of the arts district as it seeped into this shop too. I enjoyed my quad on ice, it was very delicious. I loved the subtle earthy tones and richness of the espresso. The guy who handed me the drink was super friendly and nice. I would make the drive again! Highly recommend. :)

I've been wanting to try this place for a while since I am local and finally had an opportunity. I came in and I'm not sure if they were short staffed but I had to wait 15 minutes to even order a drink. I decided to go with the iced cafe de olla because I was in a rush and figured the café was already made. They just needed to ice it. The Café de Olla needed to have a little bit more cinnamon, but it was good. I've heard a lot of great things about Distrito so I'm hoping that this was just an off day. I do you want to go back and try some of their other drinks when I'm not pressed for time.

Distrito Coffee is a cute minimalistic coffee spot located in San Pedro. Its serving up "street coffee". They have your basic coffee drinks in addition to speciality drinks. They're open M- F from 7am- 3pm and S-S from 7am- 4pm. During my visit, I was greeted right away and got my "go to" coffee drink which is an iced vanilla latte. The drink was pretty spot on! Great amount of milk and sweetener. You never know how it'll taste since every cafe amounts are slightly different. So the first sip is always a magical surprise! Haha

A small coffee shop in the heart of Pedro The staff was super kind. He thanked me for checking them out after finding out it was my first time there! My partner got their drip (tinto) and I got their not your regular mocha. The staff's recommendation was not your regular mocha and it was super rich.

Love this place! I'm not that much of a coffee expert, but I love the coffee here because it's smooth, it's not bitter and it tastes good. I love the cafe de olla with oat milk and the cortado. The pastries I haven't had in a while but I remember I liked it. My only complaint is sometimes they have off hours where they close early or aren't open when they're supposed to be. They have AESOP soap and lotion in the bathroom which is really good quality. Try it and tell me all about it!

After seeing nothing bit great reviews about this place I knew I has to try it. Super clean little coffee shop with something for everybody! I enjoyed my cafecito and got to enjoy the ambiance for a bit. The staff is super friendly and answers any questions you have. The prices are very reasonable and the coffee is delicious! So excited that Distrito Coffee has opened. The staff are super nice and attentive - you can tell that they are passionate about the coffee, tea, and other products that they sell. For drinks, we enjoyed a cappuccino, macchiato, matcha tonic, and a bamboo black. The barista makes a proper cappuccino and macchiato. Both were masterfully executed! The feature roast was El Corazon from Proyecto Diaz Coffee and we left with a bag of whole beans to brew at home. The matcha tonic is an iced drink that was nice. The bamboo black was tasty - a great whole leaf tea. If you can't tell by my review, we've been waiting anxiously for Distrito Coffee to open and it definitely met our expectations!!! I highly recommend Distrito. read more

Amazing coffee! One thing I missed since moving to San Pedro from Long Beach was my neighborhood coffee shop. With Distrito that is no longer the case. All the baristas are super friendly and the music is always on point. The coffee is top notch and is miles ahead of any other shop in the area. The cortadito and the classic cold brew are my favorite but anything I have tried here is great. read more

Heard about this place from being a fan of Gene's channel for a bit. Ngl the commute from dt through the rain was a pain but the coffee was definitely worth it! Prices were super affordable and it all was so smooth and flavorful. Didn't get to see the man himself but service was solid and got recommended to take my girl to the sick store down the block that my girl has now populated the coffee table with. Definitely going back and getting a chai asap! read more

This place is a hidden gem! I got the ice vanilla latte and got it a bit more sweetened by request. The gentlemen there were so sweet and kind. A super cute local spot with outstanding espresso and a great selection of small batch whole bean coffees. Haven't tried their more complex crafted drinks on the menu, but this is absolutely the best espresso I've found in San Pedro. Iced Americano with a little oat milk slaps. The staff are all super pleasant and they're happy to let you bring your own mug or tumbler too, so bonus points for that! read more

Literally sooo good!! This places serves literally the best chai latte ever, also the price is soo cheap. All the workers here are super nice. Also, since this place is owned by a film tutorial guy, the photos on the wall are really nice as well. Super relaxing and simple vibe. Give this place a try, it will be worth it :) read more

A real gem. Place just opened up a few months after moving here and has already made quite the impression. Specializing in Latin American coffee and goods, the options range from classics to traditional offerings. The coffee is excellent and staff is warm and inviting. Their passions are on display as well, with the ambient space showcasing their influences. Food options are slowly coming around, haven't been able to try too many of them. FINALLY!!!! I recently moved to SP and having grown up in Hermosa I am used to really good coffee shops within a short bike ride! I was so disappointed when I couldn't find any good coffee shops in SP. Sorry, but Sirens is not good coffee! I was so desperate for good coffee I'd sometimes make the trek to Two Guns in MB or The Boy and The Bear. I came to the place and this is hands down the best coffee in SP. There are lots of people from other beach cities moving here and good food and coffee is seriously lacking in San Pedro. No more sugary syrups and poorly foamed milk! This place is doing it right and makes a proper latte, cappuccino. They also have Cortada which I still have to try. So excited!! read more

Got an iced matcha latte with oat milk (Califia Barista Oat Milk) and sweetened with honey. It was so good for the price - $5.75! It was perfectly sweetened and I love how they don't add a bunch of cane sugar. They also use a bamboo whisk to whisk the matcha! Plenty of metered street parking. Definitely coming back! read more

3.5 stars -Coffee is good- STRONG- but---Super uncomfortable chairs. So sorry but I want to come on in RELAX & have a great cup of joe. A great bakery treat .. I'm a pedro gal and this place just isn't it..... You just need to place a few comfortable chairs by those beautiful windows- & welcome our cruise ship folks to town - hook up with a great local baker in town . Came for the grand opening and they had 4 different drinks that highlight their style. There was good variety between them and all of them were high quality! They specialize in Colombian blends and flavors so it's a nice change up. I'm not usually a coffee guy but I'll definitely be coming back! read more

The service was nothing at all to brag about. I was not greeted when I walked in and mind you I was the only one in. It was a morning around 8:20. I had never been in before so I expected at least a hello or welcome. The menu was small and was not in eyesight view. Coffee was mediocre and very over priced. The staff needs to learn much more customer service and the inside wasn't very clean as it could be the walls were dirty I just wouldn't suggest his place until they get it together. read more

Cute, small coffee shop, mostly standing room only with a few chairs. The coffee was great quality, but wish they had more flavors - I really wanted a lavender latte. This coffee house is a welcome addition to downtown San Pedro. The staff are friendly and the coffee is very good! They take their craft seriously! The atmosphere feels a little stark but they may be going for a more urban feel. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I drink coffee or espresso nearly every day, but I def don't write reviews every day. Actually, I only write them when inspired. Distrito Coffee inspires me. My espresso jam is a 'real' macchiato or super dry cappuccino...and this Pedro area jem delivers in a big way. Sometimes i'm in the mood for a bright/citrusy espresso, other times a heavier roast with chocolaty/nuttier notes but most often I'm looking for a balance, something in the middle of these two and that's exactly what Distrito espresso is for me...amazingly well balanced and a true joy to sip each and every time! My internal rating system on food and beverage is super simple: Craveable or Not-Craveable - and Distrito is Damn Craveable! I crave Distrito, like seriously crave it! I'll drive all over the LA & IE area for great coffee/espresso King's Road, Klatch, Boy/Bear, etc. you name it...Distrito is there with the best of them. AND the owners are great folks...go hit 'em up! read more

There is a cozy seating area adjacent to Pepper's as well if your feet need a rest. We ordered a Honey Lavender Latte and a Vanilla Latte. Both of these choices were full of magical flavored coffee goodness. The honey lavender had wonderful lavender accents to the rich coffee. The vanilla latte was also full of vanilla flavor. We really enjoyed our first visit to Pepper's and hope to stop many times in the future when we are shopping at Crafted. Yay!

Both their coffee and matcha are smooth, flavorful, and never overly sweet, which we really appreciate. Their cloud drinks are especially good and always hit the spot. It's simple, soft and easy to eat. Unlike some breakfast where it's a tug of war to tear off a bite. It's not fancy. There's no panini I press, no arugula, aioli or anything like that. It's simple sandwiches how they traditionally made them before we got extra will these fancy ingredients. Great for the picky eater. One of the best sandwich places in town. We noticed there was also a singles night event happening simultaneously and neither party seemed to encroach on the other (again, ample space). I decided to give this place a second chance, and unbelievably, the exact same thing happened again. This time, my partner showed the bank transaction proving the payment had been processed, yet he and his brother were still treated with suspicion and singled out. After experiencing this twice, it's hard not to feel like we were being unfairly targeted. The way we were treated was disrespectful, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. It left us feeling profiled rather than treated like valued customers. We will never be coming back, and I cannot recommend this brewery to anyone expecting respectful or professional service. If you have specific details about what was said or done that made you believe the treatment was racially motivated, including those facts in your review can make it more persuasive and credible. RACIST to say the least !!!!!

We were in San Pedro running errands and needed coffee -- not just any coffee -- so we came here on purpose. The vinyl playing in the background set the mood right away. Cool space. The Americano was bright with a clean acidity and a nice body at the finish. Really good. The flat white was smooth and balanced.
