    Chipped on second day
    Elvira B.

NEVER AGAIN. The lady cut my skin twice with the nail drill. She was in a hurry painting them that it looked lumpy and uneven. Got chipped the next day...

Great customer service and very respectful but nothing is sanitized. The pedicure bowl isn't cleaned between customers. They reuse the same foot scrubber for each customers and put it back in the small cabinet along with tools and clippers.

I'm always skeptical about trying new salons. I came in on a Saturday morning around 10am. There was about a 10 minute wait. I told the man exactly what I wanted, and asked him the total price. As he did my nails, I told him there were a couple things that I needed him to fix, he fixed them right away with no problem, and asked me how I liked the changes. In the end, I am completely satisfied, and the prices were fair. Thank you, Diva nails.

Vacuum to get rid of toxic smells and waste

I was in desperate need of a gel polish change and found Diva Nails on Yelp. It's located right next to Comfort Zone Restaurant and Lounge. Many locals are familiar with this spot. I came during the day, so my wait was only 5 minutes. Thuy (pronounced twee) serviced my gel polish change (no manicure). She was personable, professional and quick. We reminisced over the r&b jams playing through the speakers. She was so personable that it made me enjoy my experience. I highly recommend her. The staff at Diva Salon are friendly and welcoming. The doorbell rings every time someone enters or exits the door. That way the customer receives their proper greeting. What was neat about their nail booth was that they had a suction (vacuum) embedded in the desk to get rid of the waste and cut the toxic smells. That's thoughtful to the customer because we aren't wearing mask. ____ For those that are looking for just a gel change price, see the price difference below. Not every nail salon offer this breakdown but I was grateful that they explained it to me. Price breakdown: $15 Gel Polish $20 Gel Polish with soak off of previous gel polish $25/$30 Gel Manicure ($30 with soak off)

How my heels still looked afterwards!
    Ciera M.

THE WORST!!! Tonight i legit had one of the most horrible experiences in a nail shop in my life! To get straight to the point im telling you I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! A friend and i went here today to treat ourselves. I asked for a pedicure and also a full set. It started off with my pedicure which was not anything special. It was not relaxing and felt semi rushed i asked the young lady to please pay attention to my heels because they were a little rough. She finished my toes which turned out pretty but yet she did not do that great on my heels which i just let slide since my toes where at least decent. But that could not compare to what was next. I was then moved from that station to go and sit in front of another lady to get my full set. She asked me what i wanted and i told her A FULL SET, COFFIN SHAPED. She said ok. She began placing on the tips to which i then asked if when she began to apply the acrylic please DO NOT DO IT THICK! She says yes, ok! She continues adding on my tips and puts one on crooked. I ask her could she fix it as i pointed it out. Her coworker next to her chimes in and says she will fix it when she adds the acrylic. I looked a little puzzled and i asked if she could fix it now. Which my lady went ahead and did. So now she cuts the tips down to my desired length and begans to apply the acrylic which is looking thick i ask about it and she tells me that she is going to fix it. I said ok. After adding acrylic on about 3 off them she then takes the nail clippers trying to clip off the corners for my desired coffin shape. The problem about this was the acrylic was still wet! I was so confused because i had never had it done like this. Now i got blobs of acrylic attached to part of the nail and my skin especially in the corners. She finishes that and goes in with the file. She is filing around but not getting off all the acrylic. She takes the drill and smoothes the top. She takes the brush to wipe off the dust. At this point im asking her can she remove the acrylic thats all around. She takes out some small type of scissors or clippers. She ends up clipping my skin, thats how deep the acrylic was on my skin. Apologizing profusely i tell her thats ok. She finishes but does not tell me i can go wash my hands, so i remind her of that and she is like oh yeah, yes, yes and applies the cuticle oil! I go wash my hands now looking at the finished product. Im not happy.. At the sink i was talking to another young lady about my nails. Walking back to my seat a man who was doing nails overheard me and asked what was wrong. I told him i did not like them. That they where too thick and the shape was not coffin like i had asked and the acrylic looked bad. He said we can't get exact but she would fix it. I sat back down and all she did was file the sides more. Which did nothing. Then here came the polish. She slapped it on and it only added insult to injury. At this point my friend came over and i was telling her how i was not pleased, that i didnt like them and the reasons. She agreed. At that point a whole different lady comes over saying she needed to finish me in mid polish. So i moved..again! I sat down and she said she would fix until i liked them. She added another coat of polish on my pinky. Which i will admit her polishing skills was clearly better but because the foundation of the acrylic was messed up all the imperfections still showed. At this point although annoyed i thanked the lady but let her know that this would not suffice. I explained that i was not satisfied with the service. I made sure to let her know the original lady was very nice but the workmanship was not to my liking. I was unpleased with the shape, the application and thickness of my nails. I even pointed out the corners and edges. She said i fix for you! I said no maam at this point i would just like them to be taken off. She then called the man from earlier over. He asked me what was the problem. I then repeated myself pointing out the poor workmanship. He offers to fix them by painting or filling. I said no that at that point i would just like them taken off because the foundation of the acrylic was not even good. With an attitude he says well she just spent a hour on your nails! I said sir im not trying to argue but it was not done correctly and i would like them off. He says fine ill just clip them off and you not pay! (At this point i still had every intention on paying the full bill simply because the lady was nice. I just didnt wanna walk around with my nails a mess!) Next thing i know he grabs my hand and begans clipping off the tips! He left my nails, jagged, sharp and some tips still on them. Not to mention all this THICK acrylic, which is not what i had in mind when i asked him to remove them!! Though i was pissed I didnt fuss i simply got up and went to pay my bill for my feet only because at this point i was not paying anything towards those nails!!

Booked through StyleSeat. Showed up a little early for my appointment, and got a pedicure while I waited. I showed him a picture and gave me what I wanted but even better! What surprised me was his speed. Got my nails done to perfection in less than 30mins!! He will definitely be my go to nail tech!

    New Full Set

My experience was terrible. First off it took almost TWO HOURS to do a Full set. They are thick, the polish is terrible and the lady that worked on my nails got VERY RUDE one I start pointing out things that was wrong with my nails. In my experience once you start telling them they not doing something right, or it don't look right, too slow down you kicking the The hell out hand the catch an attitude real quick. I could go on more detail about the non professional word exchange from the nail tech. But I'm not. All the talk she did could never excuse or justify this pitiful job she did on my hands. The pics speak for themselves. DO NOT GO HERE December 27th --not even a week yet. Nail lifting up ALREADY..$35.00 for what!!

Yesterday was my first time at Diva Nails and will literally be the last. This was probably the worst nail salon I've EVER been to. My first issue started when I didn't like the gel polish on my toes. It looked like I had my little sister polish them for me. I could've easily told them that I didn't want to pay but, instead i said i wanted a different color. The man told me that it would take too long for them to do because it's gel polish. Oh, so now they want to pay for something that i absolutely don't like? ............ as they're doing my nails now i see hair on them, i pointed it out and she tried to buff it out but it didn't go away. I pointed it out a SECOND time and she painted over it so now it just looks weird and tacky. It hasn't even been 24hrs yet and somehow I have what appears to be water bubble on one of my nails. Go at your own risk.

Never! After waitin 2 hr wait! Only to be pushed off for 2 customer!
    Evi B.

Never again! Waitin for 2 hrs, only for her to make me sit & soak for another 30 mins so she could work in someone else, due to her boss skipping people to get a "regular customer" in. Left with my nails looking jack & dry hand from the acotone she had me soaking in for 30 mins!

I wanted a specific design I showed it to them and they said they could do it. But that lady had no idea what she was doing. And the results awful

Ok, I was hesitant to write this review. I was a loyal paying tip providing costumer up until the owners became complacent and displayed actions that indicated to me they could careless about customers. So today after my third time with piss poor service, a crappy nail job, and being in the shop past two hours continuously, I decided to provide my rating and will not be returning. Today was the last straw after I visited to request my chrome fill in, only to be pushed off to another tech who did a crappy job. I was told she could do chrome fill ins since Anthony was booked. Unfortunately, The tech did a crappy job and decided to ask for Anthony's help after she screwed my nails up. Anthony was clearly upset and stated to me, "your nails can't be done perfect and I have appointments" you need to book me online" and also stated to me that I can go somewhere else. First off, I lit into him and gave him some professional nice but nasty choice words. So I am adding a few more choice words to this post. Anthony If it is your damn shop and when the techs does subpar work it falls on you the owner. You are responsible for what goes well and what doesn't go well in your shop. Bottom line.....when I or any paying customer service turns out to be crappy, you should be happy to correct the issue. To tell a customer they can go elsewhere and to get upset when thier only request was that you fix the issue says a lot about your pseudo character and your lack of concern. ANTHONY, It is not always about the money and how many folks you can push in and out of your shop. It is about consistency, excellent customer service, quality of service by all techs in your shop, listening to customers and showing some customer appreciation, just to name a few. Eventually your fake 5 stars will fall off of the system, and clients will get the true memo once they figure out that you don't care!!! You can be another shop opened and closed. And yes I will take my hard earned dollars elsewhere.

I came in to be greeted by many technicians, a little overwhelming, for me. but the place was super clean and lowkey. it's not noisy with chatter or equipment. I was able to get sat down right away with Nani. she was super friendly and gentle with my manicure, giving detail to grinding down my nails, application, shape and length and color preference. washing my hands before/during the session was a nice refresher and also a first(!) with cleanliness of this business. I was offered cuticle oil after which i'm grateful that got brought up. hours after, my fingers don't feel irritated from the grinding like they usually do at places that overdo it. I was super happy with my manicure. i'm a bit more on the quiet side of conversation so I hope to come back and chat with the techs about life, it was quite entertaining hearing neighboring drama with other techs and clients. :))

Sue took me in immediately. Everyone was really welcoming and greeted me when I came in. Sue and I talked the entire time because I'm not from the area. She was very professional, fast, efficient, and did an amazing job on my nails! She noticed I had cat eye already on my nails, so she asked if I wanted to do it again, and when I said no, she didn't try pushing any designs or up-charges on me. She let me pick my color and was super nice when I was a little indecisive about the first set of colors that I saw. She was quick to show me more colors. We had a great conversation, and when I'm back in the area, I'll definitely come back! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I had made an appointment prior, and it seemed like whether you are a walk-in or appointment you were waiting the same time (which wasn't too long). The staff were very friendly, and at first I loved how they came out. But they didn't last very long. I got the gel manicure done with chrome. I've gotten gel for the last 5 years. The set I came in with was 6 weeks old (and NONE of it had chipped off). Within 24 hours, the thumb on my nondominated hand was already chipping off. While I was there the techs were talking about how one of them overcharged another customer. The tech put magic removal on my nails to remove the prior gel, and my nails were curling into themselves. It was a little painful. If the manicure had lasted at least two weeks, I would have been fine to come back. But since it started chipping almost immediately, it just doesn't seem worth it, in my opinion.

Pixie Nail Bar has honestly become my go to spot in Hampton Va whenever I want to get my nails…read moredone. The nail techs are really talented and confident in their work, which makes sense because they always seem busy. One thing I've noticed though is that when it gets busy, they can work a little too fast which leads to over filing or being a bit rough on thinner nails and cuticles. I've found that speaking up and asking them to go gently usually helps, and going during less busy times makes the experience even better. My partner and I especially love going there for pedicures because it feels super relaxing, and they offer drinks while you're getting serviced which is a nice touch. Overall, everyone is accommodating and good at what they do despite occasional small misunderstandings. I personally enjoy the pedicure experience the most there, but for manicures I just make sure to over communicate what works best for my nails. In terms of design I have always gotten what I had in mind, which is why I go back.
