First time here and I cant believe I came to this plaza so many times but never noticed this place! I got the mini bowl for less than $15 which is a good price for a meal these days. It's like a Chipotle/panda express style restaurant where you pick your greens, grains, protein, toppings, etc as you walk towards the register. The mini bowl was still a lot of food for me and I was stuffed after. They have a lot of options and I was so happy to have had a healthy meal with lots of vegetables. I'll definitely be coming back!

I was initially going to go to Rubios, and noticed "Mediterranean Guys" I got curious since I have never had it, as soon as you walk in it feels like a very welcoming place. Was greeted and welcomed, honestly very suprised by this place, so much food for a great price! Very very freshly prepared. Will be back forsure

I saw some great reviews for Mediterranean Guys and decided to stop by for dinner -- definitely glad I did! Mediterranean Guys is located at the Center Plaza in Santa Ana (borderline Tustin). Although, there's plenty of parking. The area near Mediterranean Guys is pretty tight, and being so close to the exit toward Tustin/17th Street often causes traffic jams. Now once stepping inside, you're quickly greeted by a nice service staff and seems like the place is ran by one employee! She's certainly perky and helpful so kudos to her for holding up the fort for the venue. It's a build your bowl concept -- Your Way, Every Time :). You pick - bowl or place and depending on size you will get the option of one or two proteins, a couple sides and all toppings. The mini bowls starts at $14 and it's goes up from there. She ask you to start strong with the foundation of your bowl -- I recommend skip the greens but hey that's me. I tend to go half White Rice and Brown Rice. We ordered a mini bowl and a full plate, which let us try four different proteins between us: beef skewers, chicken skewers, lamb gyro, and spicy shredded chicken. We also shared the baklava for dessert. The fresh pita bread and spicy hummus was a nice touch, and the portion sizes were just right....I will definitely come back for more!! TIP: If you're planning to return for multiple visits...download the app beforehand so score a free drink with purchase.

One of my favorite spots in the area. Great friendly service - Giovanni! Love his recommendations. Great sized portions. Plenty of proteins, sides, and topping options. Freshly made so it does take about 10 min. Everything is fresh and made to order. Clean and casual. Plenty of parking, easy to find, and yogurtland is next door for dessert! (I ordered the chicken and steak kabob to go)

Tried this spot to go through my work vendor, and had my order delivered to the office. This tasted a bit bland, and portions could be a bit better. I had requested extra tomatoes and cucumbers with my order, but there was just an average amount. Lemon herb tahine didn't compare to the one at Cava, this seemed like a less flavorful and smaller portioned Cava for the same price.

BEST MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT I've ever been to!!! Everything about this place is spectacular, delicious & fresh ingredients, phenomenal pita chips, great service, clean kitchen & dinning room! I always get the bowl but I'm sure everything on the menu is amazing! My bowl preferences: light spinach, brown rice, gyro, pasta salad, potato salad x2, hummus, corn, onion x2, cheese, jalapeños, and tzatziki sauce & hot sauce on the side!

Fresh and healthy food! I was craving something healthy, nutritious, and wholesome something like either sweet green or Cava but they were both too out of my way. This place pretty much hit the spot. Tip: you get 25% off of your first order. Make sure to either download the app or order inline to get the discount: They also gave you pita bread and garlic sauce. Highly recommend you to try this place!

So glad I finally got to stop by many years later for dinner! Parking was easy (on a weeknight). Plenty of street parking and many open meters but I can see it being very difficult on weekends. Bake in some time to find parking! There's both indoor and outdoor seating at this location. This inside is cozy and there's a second room for additional seating. I went on a Thursday night and it was slammed. They do not take reservations but they do have a waitlist via toast that you can join while you walk around and wait for your table. Plenty to do and see on 2nd street. We ordered the party platter for 4 people! It was the perfect amount of food with leftovers to take home. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION. Our beef was a textbook medium rare and was so juicy and tender, as was the rest of the meat. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, as was all the shawarma. All meats were seasoned beautifully. The rice underneath was stunning as well and really caught all the juices from the meat on top. The roasted tomatoes, onions, and pickles were the perfect compliments to help freshen up the palette during the meal. The sauces were amazing and there was a clear favorite (the garlic sauce) which was annihilated by all four of us. Service was friendly! It was very packed so it was slow at times but understandably so. They come by and give you orange blossom water for your hands post meal - what a treat! We smelled amazing! NO NOTES FOR OPEN SESAME! I have to come back with more friends! We did have an issue but it was with another patron who had the audacity to yell at my table (while I was in the restroom) for "having too much fun"?!?! This is a public restaurant and it was loud as hell in there because it's tight and everyone talks over each other, not to mention the open kitchen. The energy in the restaurant is exciting and frenetic. If you want a quiet dinner f*cking STAY HOME and leave the streets to those of us who have had a WEEK and want to enjoy a fun dinner with friends. We will be back and we will have even MORE FUN, xoxo.

It's only about 7 minutes from the parks, making it the perfect lunch or dinner spot if you're craving something flavorful that won't leave you feeling heavy. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The spinach pastry was hands down my favorite, perfectly flaky with a delicious savory filling. The potato pastry was a close second and just as satisfying. If you visit, don't skip the pastries! We also tried the steak and chicken kebab combo plate, and both were cooked perfectly. The chicken was especially tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. You can actually watch the meat being cooked fresh in the back, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic. I ordered the veggie plate with falafel, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, hummus, and tahini sauce, and every single item was delicious. The falafel really stood out. It had a perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior with a soft, flavorful center. Dipping it into the baba ganoush, hummus, and tahini made every bite even better. One of my favorite things was that the meal was incredibly satisfying without feeling greasy or overly heavy. It was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, but I still felt great afterward. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, and the service was impressively fast. They also have a great selection of Mediterranean spices if you want to bring some of those incredible flavors home. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire team. Between the fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent service, Zait Zataar has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants. I placed an online order for the baked fish plate around 12:45 PM and expected a bit of a wait since it was fish. After waiting about 25 minutes, I called and was told it would be another 10-15 minutes. The restaurant was busy, so I understood. However, after waiting longer and checking inside twice, my order still wasn't ready and there seemed to be confusion about its status. In total, I waited close to an hour for an order that was placed online in advance. What bothered me most was seeing customers who ordered in person receive their food before me. It felt like my online order had been overlooked. If online ordering is offered, those orders should be monitored and fulfilled properly, especially during busy times. The food itself was good, but the plate could have been put together better. The fries were placed directly on top of the fish, which made them soggy and took away from the presentation. It would make much more sense to serve the fries on the side. Overall, the food is still good, but the long wait, confusion with the online order, and lack of attention to presentation make me hesitant to rely on the online ordering system again.

Still, we fondly remembered their generous, delicious portions, so we placed an online order. The website didn't give a readiness time, but remembering that they used to prepare everything fresh and take their sweet time, I told my husband we should wait a bit before heading out. When I walked in, the employees were chatting and laughing, which was nice to see. Then I noticed a pile of takeout orders sitting on a shelf. Hungry as I was, I silently prayed none of them were ours; I utterly despise cold food. I gave my name to the cashier--who skipped the greeting entirely--and was told it wasn't ready yet. I said thanks and took a seat. While I was waiting, another customer asked about her order and was initially dismissed with a "no." After a second look, the cashier called her back: "Oh, this is yours. It's been ready." No apology, just a cold shoulder. The customer was understandably ticked off. The real plot twist, however, happened when I got home. Apparently, "two skewers" now translates to a grand total of five pieces of chicken. That is definitely not what it used to be. To make matters worse, my worst nightmare came true: the food was cold. Well, not the chicken, but the french fries and pita bread were stone-cold and stale. Lately, I've been going to Luna Grill down the street. They actually serve fresh, much tastier food--and at prices that don't feel like highway robbery.
