The owner/manager who usually sits in the corner desk very small thin Asian lady, was so rude by not polishing my nails properly and when I mentioned to her the poor work, she got upset making comments that she didn't see anything wrong. Came here after having a bad experience at the shop across the street and I have to say they SAVED THE DAY! Came to get my nails done for a special event and they put us in a chair immediately. The customer service was great; very kind and respectful and the quality of work was phenomenal! All I had to tell him was "medium almond with pink deep French tip" and the results were amazing. They worked quickly and efficiently but the quality of work was amazing. I've been going to Hermosa Nails& Spa for years, but my visit here was by far the worst I only came because they were busy. Right when I walked in I was met with a rude tone by the technician. I explained that I wanted coffin-shaped nails, and after removing my old set I asked her not to use the triangular shape she kept offering me. She insisted I try them anyway. When I refused, she abruptly turned off the lamp and told me I could leave because "I'm too picky." I paid the deposit and had my car in the parking lot-- it was confusing and upsetting. This is a busy corner and I got the impression I wasn't treated with respect. The entire encounter made me feel like a burden rather than a valued client. I love this spot. While they definitely aren't a high end salon, they make your money worth it and do their best. They are super cheap and always work with my designs. I appreciate they tell me they aren't capable of a design instead of doing a crappy job at it just to charge you extra. They'll work out what they can do with you and do a great job at it. I always take them complicated design and they are very patient with me and do such a good job when we find what they can do. I've had a couple nails fall off over time, but that's normal. For the most part I don't experience lifting or chipping. read more

I found this place from a coworker, let me say that this is the best salon I've been to in awhile. It might be a little hard to make appointments because I tried for two days and they didn't pick up (they weren't even open) but I recommend making an appointment even thought they do accept walk-ins. If I could I would give this place a negative star!! I went in Thursday after work and I had an appointment and still had to wait 1 hr 1/2! This was my 2nd time going due to my nail salon that I love is closed due to COVID and this will be my LAST time. The guy Justin isn't friendly at all I tried to hold a conversation with him and he said absolutely nothing, I've had 3 nail break in a matter of 3 days at the tip of the nail so it wasn't my fault. Went on Friday morning to have Justin fix one nail and he charged me but the girl before me had the same problem and he didn't charge her! Next problem the 2nd nail broke on Saturday morning in the same place went in and the nail doesn't even look the same as the others it's bumpy and thin (I told him I wasn't paying for this one) and this morning while shopping thumb broke in the same place too and it didn't even hurt! This time I'm not even going to go get it fix I will NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN! I've been getting my nails done for 20plus years and never had this happen,not to mention I've wasted 70$ this time! I've always loved coming to this place but this time I had the ultimate bad experience. I've never have had issues with getting my previous nails done by them off to get a completely new set. But wow the lady I got was ruthless she was clipping my nails so close to my skin then kept getting closer each time causing her to cut my index nail to bleed then she ended up cutting my pinky nail really bad where it was continously bleeding while she was removing the acrylic nail she tore my own nail and cut into my own nail. The worst experience ever I don't know if she was pregnant or not but to me seemed like it and that's the only reason I did not go off on her because otherwise I would of went off. I told her now I'm going to have to heal my nail and she said no we can still do your nails mind you my nail was bleeding. So maybe she needs to be less ruthless on cutting and removing the acrylic nails off one's fingers. I still paid the $10 for removal but NO TIP so frustrating that if you don't like your job then you shouldn't be there. Horrible service if I could give 0 stars I would.
