Unfortunately, I have to be a negative reviewer because on the night my friends and I came here, the food was pretty bland. The potato Croquestas are not it. The risotto was very bland the meats are very dry. The food maybe after they have served you a couple of shots. Service was good, our server came by to check up on us a couple of times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's pretty loud here, but its a bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Crab dip and pizza egg rolls

Stopped in and split appetizers for dinner. Got pizza rolls which were deep fried egg rolls with pizza filling and pizza sauce to dip and crab dip with pretzels and tortilla chips. Egg rolls were "ok" and crab dip was "oily " and just "ok" Not sure I would try again. Upside our server was very nice and attentive and cold pints of beer were 3.75!

    Stacked Mac

Came for dinner and had a great experience. Our waitress Jodie, was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the stacked mac for my dinner and she said it was one of her favorites and recommended I switch the buffalo sauce on the chicken to a honey bbq and it was a great choice. My only complaint was it came with a lot of mac and cheese and only 3 kinda small chicken pieces but it was still plenty of food to fill me up. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying some other dishes.

Amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved the vibe and atmosphere from the second we walked in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything came out fresh and tasted amazing! Have gone back for a second time and will be going back many more.

I was surprised that me and my friends popped in here late night and the service was super quick and the staff was nice even for the place to be packed. The fried crab balls taste like heaven and I didn't want to share with my friends but I did. Next time I go, I'm ordering it for myself. However we sent the crab dip back because it didn't taste as good. The crab balls set the bar way too high. But the staff understood and took it off the bill. Also the stacked Mac tastes like comfort food heaven. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The drink specials are cheap, the food is quality and the vibe very much gives Pittsburgh bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food was very good, amazing portions and prices. It's just classic American bar food but they have a ton of options so all type of eaters can find something here. The Greek salad was really good, I'm usually picky with my salads when I'm ordering out because it's usually a half assed salad but this one was really great. The service was very slow but there was only two workers during dinner rush. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was a typical casual bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks were alright not amazing.

Dive Bar and Grille in Southside is one of my neighborhood go to's. Service is quick and food is consistent. I usually get the Thai chicken wrap or ahi tuna wrap, both great options! My last time in I started and got a chicken sandwich. It was huge & messy to eat! I enjoyed it but not much can beat the ahi tuna wrap. I do feel like the tator tot portions are skimpy when they are subbed for a side.

I made a light summer meal of the house salad and half order of one Scotch egg, although I found the two creamy dressings to be too much. The cocktail list is relatively long and very tempting, but we got (and enjoyed) 3 sazeracs. Service was slow, but we didn't mind, because we had a lot to catch up on, and football was on the telly. Stone walls. Exposed wood and burlap ceiling. - Honey whipped goat cheese: this is good. Warm piece of crispy baguette. The tomato confit side goes well with it. - The scotch eggs are fantastic. Crispy outside, nice eggs within. Excellent with a little bit of Frank's. The dijonaise with it works well, gives almost a deviled egg vibe. - The fish and chips sandwich is fantastic. Large portion: Two of us could have split it and still walked away full. Battered. This one is cooked perfectly. The sandwich sandwich roll is crippled and lovely. The tartar sauce is subtle and dead-on. This is exactly what I want from a fish sandwich. - The french fries that came with the fish and chips are nicely cooked, medium cut. Crispy potatoey and perfect. These are crowdpleasers - everyone at our table liked them. Could possibly be worth a trip in and of themselves.

Examples of menu items are chicken and waffles, grits, sandwiches, salads, loaded fries, and wings. I was a customer here once for takeout. The restaurant has two floors--the first floor with a gorgeous library, which I think would be a great spot for kids to study and adults to work, and the second floor with a bar and party space for private events. One of the owners promptly greeted me, took my order and payment, and made pleasant conversation while I waited for my foods to be cooked. She showed me the cool lit-up selfie spot near the bathroom mirror and door. I ordered the Troomy Chicken Club (grilled chicken tenders, bacon, troomy sauce, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, and onion) with a side of Loaded Fries and also six Whole Wings with my chosen flavor of parmesan. All three foods were very fresh and tasty very good, but I would recommend adding a bit more parmesan to the wings.

The Honey Nut Bacon Salad was another standout -- light, fresh, and full of flavor!
