Sadly, I will still get my nails done here because it's the most convenient in the area and SOME of the technicians do a decent job. I've definitely had some bad manicures there before so keep an eye on what they are doing as they go. Also, they are on the expensive side. Every nail professional I've been to here is exceptional but both Chloe and Violet stand out as superb - consistent - with great attention to the small things - my nails last over two weeks st minimum. Both can do acrylics, powder dip, gel and regular of course. Grab a drink st Starbucks - settle in to those massage chairs and prepare for a really relaxing hour or two. I started coming to this salon since they opened, and while I was a regular costumer initially, I noticed a sharp decline in the service by the technicians and to make matters worse the prices went up. I slowly started just giving my nails a break from constant painting. And after about three months I was in need of a good mani and pedi. Literally two days after my gel mani the paint started to chip. When I looked closely at my nails the sides of my nails weren't even painted. I spent $92 on my nails and it was literally the worst 100 I spent. I'm so sad bc of the convince of the location but the level of service has really went down. Is it Elizabeth Arden Red Door? No. However the salon was perfectly clean from the pedicure to the manicure area, receptionist was super nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I don't get pedicures often, but this was a treat. I love that they now accept Venmo also. You can leave your tip on Venmo- super convenient. Stopped in to check out the salon and first impression was good, I made an appointment and came back the next day for a spa pedicure and a gel manicure. The person who did my pedicure was ok, I was surprised when she hand carried a vat of hot wax across the room and sat it in the soaking tub area of the chair and expected me to twist my foot to navigate the bucket. My main concern was that no one got hurt, but don't think that is good practice. The manicure was the big surprise, the dryer is absolutely filthy underneath - where you hand goes in- they apparently only wipe off the top. It looked like it had never been cleaned and the manicurist gave me a tissue to rest my hand on. Good hygiene, quiet atmosphere and good products are all a salon has to offer and when one of them is missing I will not go back. In this case 2 out of 3 were inadequate. Several of the nail polish bottles to choose from were empty or solid goop. I really was hoping this would be my new nail salon but I'm still looking. read more

Yes, it's little more expensive than other salons I've been to. But it is the cleanest and most relaxing salon that I know of. And every manicurists here seems to do a good job. Never waited here and never been disappointed so far. Definitely make an appointment on weekends. Especially during summer time, when everyone wants a pedicure. Only time I walk-in is 9 in the morning on Saturdays. Obviously you get better service if salon is not crowded, so I like early appointments. read more

For a fill-in, it was about $10 cheaper than anywhere else I had been and the job they did was even better. Men Beware! This place is great for women, however if your a man they try they typical tricks. They don't trim your toe nails down close enough, they don't round them off and they don't buff them! When I said something and asked to trim them myself, she laughed at me... (Being caught doing the wrong thing...I'm sure it was cultural). When they did the manicure. This place is really worth the price. It's a little bit pricier I think- than other salons in the area, but I really appreciate their attention to detail, and thoroughness, and the relaxing atmosphere- always soothing music playing. I've never had a bad manicure or pedicure here and they always last longer than other places. They are very thorough with sanitization as well, which many other places are not. Upgrading to a "spa" mani or pedi is worth it, they add a lot of extra perks with a scrub, paraffin, steam, and extra massage time. Holly, the owner will even step in to help with manicures if they are busy and I've gotten to know her over a few years. The technicians are friendly and don't make you feel like they're talking about you (I know we've all been to a salon like that). My only recommendations, because they are at a slightly higher price point, would be that they offer basic beverages to customers (I usually go with a Starbucks bev from next-door anyway since it's so convenient, but I have been to some higher-end salons at this price point, that offer a glass of wine or soda or water). Even being offered to place my rings in a ring cleaner solution at other places made them stand out, but I truly am a fan of Divine Nails and will continue to be regular customer as long as I live in this area, since they are so much better than the competition. read more

I've been to several places in the area and this was a very subpar experience. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure was okay, nothing special but several of my nails have already severely chipped and it's been less than a week. In addition, my cuticles were poorly cut and the paint job was splotchy. The nail technician was extremely slow and kept getting the paint in the crevices of my nails (which is a guarantee ask for your nails to peel/chip with gel). Wouldn't recommend anyone to come back here unless they did their research and requested a specific technician. read more

I have a go-to nail salon in Gaithersburg that I tend to frequent during the week, however I was not feeling well on Friday and skipped my nail appointment. The polish started to chip while I was at the gym so I decided to swing by this nail salon that is located in the same complex. I simply required a polish change so I figured Yelp research was not necessary. I was not impressed with my experience at this salon. The salon itself seems to be clean but the technician provided me with a used nail file and buffer. The polish change was not precise. My nails felt somewhat snagged. Also, even though I chose an opaque color, I can see through the color on my nail tips and the color is a bit streaked. A polish change costs $9. When drying my nails, there was no clock available to time the drying process. I had to look over at the salon computer to verify the time. I was also "moved" out of the way for another customer while at the drying station. The customer had her young daughter with her and she had nowhere to sit so after already being pushed out of the way, I decided to forego the rest of the drying process and leave. The elevator music was super boring and if I was here for a mani/pedi, I would have fallen asleep - but not in a good way. The technicians wear all black outfits and the salon is trendy. The music did not match the vibe of the salon. The salon has quite a decent assortment of gel polishes available. For regular polishes, they only have OPI available. The salon did not appear to be that popular. I did not see many people arrive for appointments. They seem to attract mostly walk-ins. The good news is that you can add tip to your credit card, which is rare these days at both hair and nail salons. I won't be back. read more

I have come here a couple times now and while I love the convenience of the location and believe the place appears clean and tidy, I am torn regarding the service and prices. Once I came here and got a gel pedicure so good, it looked like new until the 5th week when my nails simply started to get too long and my cuticles started to noticeably grow out. Had this not happened, I bet the pedicure would have lasted well past the 5 week mark. The nail tech was meticulous to an impressive degree when she trimmed my cuticles, my toes looked flawless. Needless to say, I was very happy with the result so I came back, despite the fact that the price was so steep I almost fell over when I was quoted "$56" once it was all said and done. Easily the most expensive pedicure I have ever gotten, it's even an expensive rate for the higher-end spas I've been to. But I thought, if I do the math and this pedi lasts me 5+ weeks, I suppose $56 could be justifiable. I'd spend more if I had to go back every 2 weeks. So I go this past weekend hoping for another great pedicure. It's Sunday so it's pretty busy. I ask the woman in the front how much for a pedi with gel (trying to see if I got a fair price or a made up one). She literally does not get what I am asking and will not give me a price for anything but gel manicure, regular pedicure, or gel manicure and regular pedicure package. So I give up and start looking at the regular colors, but I see the EXACT color I had in mind in the gel section so I pick it up. A man comes up to me and tells me he can see me in 5 minutes. He sees I'm holding a gel nail polish. He asks, "do you want a manicure, too?" .... 'Oh not this again' I think to myself and ask "No, but how much for a gel pedicure?" He looks at me, gets a faraway look in his eyes, thinks for a moment then says, "$25 extra." I cannot tell if this guy just made up the number or what and I'm feeling kinda sketched out, and to actually hear that it's an instant $25 extra for the polish alone, I put the gel back and pick another color. We get the pedicure done and it's okay. He did take a decent amount of time on my massage so I appreciated that. He didn't put my sandals on until after the polish was on, though, so of course he bumped one toe and it was scratched. I didn't notice until I was home, too. Then when he rang me up he tells me "$43." WHAT?! What the hell was so special about this pedicure that it costs that much? I also witnessed the guy being pretty damn rude to a handicapped customer who was using a cane to get around. She had sat in one of the drying station chairs and he was not-too-delicately asking her to move so I could sit there. He was so flustered by her presence, he even tripped on her cane as he hastily moved past her and SHE apologized to HIM! I wish I could take the woman from the first pedicure somewhere else with better prices (probably not a coincidence that they don't advertise the prices anywhere in the salon) because I thought she was quite good. But I'd happily leave the other guy behind. read more

This place is okay. The website says a regular pedicure is $31 but it's actually $32. After the technician filed my nails, she asked me if I wanted to pay 7 dollars more to remove the calluses. I was shocked that that's not already included in the regular pedicure. But I said yes since I was already there and that's what I expected in the first place. I got my nails done here about three ago. I decided to go with the new guy instead because my regular woman was busy. The guy seems nice enough and did a good job on my pedicure. I told him I wanted to do acrylic nails and he did a pretty good job. However there were two things that I thought were a little bit odd. He didn't remove my cuticles and secondly it hurt while he was putting on my nails. He was really pushing back my cuticles to ensure that the nails were straight but had he remove them he would've had to do any of that. My fingers hurt for several days after I got them done. I get acrylic nails done every now and again and I have never had it hurt like this before. I went in today to get them removed and he did it with an implement that looked like a cross between an ice pick in a knife. I did like the fact that it was removed rather quickly. However, he nicked my thumbnail yet left it on there like it was OK. He buffed my nails but when I looked at them they still looked messy. I have several friends who are nail techs and they would've never let me walk out of that place with my nails looking like that. I went home and cut down my broken thumbnail and also buffed my own nails to make them look better. I should not have to tell my nail tech that the job wasn't done properly when it clearly wasn't. I think this man is very nice but he seems to like doing a quick job rather than a quality job. I used to go here all of the time for manis, pedis, and eyebrows. I stopped going for my eyebrows last year because each time I seemed to get minor burns from the wax being too hot. I did let them know each time what had happened, but it never improved. I continued to go for my nails, but after my last visit, I will no longer be going. Myself and 2 bridesmaids when to get our nails done for a little outing. I got a pedicure and my legs were burnt from towels being too hot (I told her this and she still placed it back on my legs) and the skin around my toes was cut (Not cuticles, but my actual toes.) I told the pedicurist multiple times it was painful. It was painful to walk the next 4 days and my toes were swollen and infected. (Luckily I am okay now.) My bridesmaids got manicures and they were rushed, messy, and had a lot of polish on their fingers instead of the nail. We were all unhappy with our experience. The manager was helpful when I called and explained what happened. He refunded my pedicure which I greatly appreciated. However, I won't be going back. read more

They have always been able to take me for a pedicure as a walk-in without ever waiting more than 10 minutes. What's even better is that they consistently do a fantastic job! My experience at this salon today prompted me to join Yelp - and not to write a positive review! I've been coming to this salon ever since it opened about two years ago. We live just a few blocks away, and I do almost all my errands at this shopping plaza - groceries, dry cleaning, gym, fro yo - so this salon is very convenient. I've always had good experiences there until today. A male nail tech gave me a nice manicure, but then he asked me to pre-pay when we moved to the manicure area. After I paid, the situation went downhill fast. First, he moved so fast that he barely touched my nails with some of the instruments. No exaggeration! Second, when I expressed concern about the uv light for the gel manicure, he actually scoffed at me and rolled his eyes. If I hadn't already pre-paid and tipped (20%), I would have walked out at that point. He then proceeded to lecture me about how these lights are different than tanning lights, and these lights will not hurt my skin. I wanted to ask where he got his degree in dermatology. (Obviously, I didn't, because that would have been rude.) Honestly, the whole service cost more than $80 with the tip. If I want people to laugh at me, my husband and kids will do it for free! :) Finally, after the polish dried, he applied some lotion and turned on the fan for me to dry my hands. He looked up when a new customer walked into the shop, motioned to someone (I think saying that he was available), shut off the fan, and said, "You're done." I understand that he needs to make a living, but surely there is a more polite way to get his point across. All said, I need to find a new nail salon! read more

About two weeks ago, I went for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. I was impressed to get right in on a busy weekend, by the results of my services, and by the way the staff calmly and professionally got my sandals back from a woman who appeared to be intending to walk out wearing my sandals while leaving her old crappy ones next to her pedicure chair! Just today, I realized that I couldn't find my kindle. The last time I remembered having it was when I got my nails done. On a whim, I stopped by to see if I had left it there and to my surprise they had my kindle! This was over two weeks ago! I enjoyed the staff before, but now I respect them even more! I needed a gel manicure and pedicure one night after work and popped in here. Cindy took me right away. She is so sweet and accommodating. I hate cuticles and she always makes sure they're completely gone! Working with my hands in water everyday as a stylist, I can come in every three weeks and receive the same perfection on my nails and toes! (The toes last 6 weeks) Cindy went out of town a while ago for about two or three months and I was nervous that no one could do as well as her, but Jason took great care of me. He's a funny man and easy to talk to! Now I see and love them both! The salon is very relaxing and professional and the staff is always working hard. I don't think I've see one person leave unhappy! As with every salon, how well your manicure turns out depends on who your technician is. I left last week with a large bristle cured into my nail. Clearly the technician left it there, and even painted the topcoat over it. This week my nails look fabulous - not a bubble in sight. If every mani was like this, I'd come back religiously. The services are pricier than other salons, but it honestly is one of the more relaxing and luxurious of the salons I've been in the area.
