So happy to have an excellent nail salon close to where I live! I went in last week and was able to get in right away. I got the spa pedicure which included parraffin, hot towels, and an awesome leg message all for about $60 which I think is a really good deal. It's right next to my new Starbucks and my feet still look really good. The massage chairs are very relaxing and you can add tip to the credit card which is always a plus. My local nail joint! I'm here every few weeks regularly. They have lots of pedicure chairs, they move (fairly) quickly even though they can get super busy, and they're clean. 4 stars because I think their prices are too high, but the service and convenience keep me coming back. Like any other nail salon, your experience will depend almost entirely on who you get. I've had a handful of mediocre experiences - never bad ones, but rushed and/or average - but once you find out who the good techs are and stick to them you are golden. Kelly, Wendy, Linda, Annie, and Kim are all really great. Most of the ladies are good. The men, not so much. Waxing service review: Charges you for services they don't ask you if you want. I walked in and asked for a lip and chin wax and I was charged $31 dollars, I didn't say anything at the time because I was in a hurry but as I was driving home it just bugged me how expensive it was so I called them to ask the prices and see if this was right and the man that was working told me to come back because I was over charged it should only be $21. So I drove back and when I got in there he then told me that they were correct and it was $31 dollars. I asked how and if he could explain the break down, that's when he said "further under your chin is extra" (weird I had no idea I asked for my neck to be waxed) then he pointed to right below my actual chin line, I was so lost because that is your chin? Am I wrong? Then he said "the little piece under your lip is extra". I could understand the little Piece under my lip because she did ask me if I wanted the piece under my lip waxed and I said sure, but she DID NOT tell me it was going to be an extra, it's always been included everywhere else I have been..... even after explaining she never told me it would be extra or that she would be going "further under my chin" (which she did not in my opinion) he just sat there and looked at me with the "your wrong, we are right face" didn't even apologize or offer to give me some what of my money back... I even tipped her great. I will never come back and im pretty upset because I just moved to the area and was looking for a close spot. This nail place is amazing. I always get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. They are very meticulous with their manicures, and mine always last over 2 weeks when they're from here. Pros: The salon is brand new and clean, they let you charge your tip, there are lots of nail polish and gel colors to choose from and I got a good spa pedicure for $45. Cons: I called to make an appointment, then had to wait 20+ minutes until I was seen. The leg massage that was part of my spa pedicure left painful spots on my feet and legs the next day. I got a terrible manicure. It was very sloppy, my cuticles weren't trimmed, and it only lasted about 3 days before it started chipping. read more

I got my eyebrows done here and the staff was very accommodating. I was helped right away and the employee assisting me was very gracious and accommodated to my sensitive skin by suggesting that she put oil on first before waxing. This is the first time ever that my eyebrows were not red after getting waxed. I will definitely be going back here and may get my nails done in the future! read more

I got a full set from Lena, and LOVED the results. She suggested adding clear gel on top to make the polish dry instantly and be shinier. Obviously, you pay a little more for this, but I will be getting it from now on because it is AWESOME. I was in and out in under an hour. I will say, though, that the last time I went here, I had a man (there are 2 who work here, I had the one with glasses), and I wanted a simple fill. He took 2+ hours and hurt my hands SO bad. I had cuts on 8/10 fingers and my nails were sore for weeks after. He never even apologized for cutting me, and one of the ladies who works there had to keep coming up to correct him on his technique. I had a "spa pedicure" which still looks great two weeks later. It was pricey and there wasn't any massage -- just a "rubdown" which was disappointing since I was paying $51 for the full spa treatment. What gives Divine Nail a One Star rating is the incredibly unprofessional staff. Oh my goodness, so unprofessional. My tech spent too much time talking with other techs and did so while looking at them instead of at my feet. (And yet she did such a good job on the pedicure; she must have eyes in the back of her head.) I wasn't pleased when another client pulled out a cell phone and had a very profanity-filled conversation, and none of the techs suggested she put away the phone. But that all made sense a few minutes later when a tech kicked off her shoes, settled into a chair across from me and pulled out her cell phone. She was on for 45 minutes -- and still talking when I left. But the best part was the tech eating the potato chips. I thought I was in the television commercial. She was munching away right behind me as I was drying, about 15 minutes. I finally had enough and was ready to leave but there was nobody around to take my money. Except the tech with the greasy, salty, unsanitary hands. Amazingly she kept munching while approaching me and taking my money. Thank goodness I had cash because there is no way I would have let her touch my credit card. I found nothing "Divine" about this place. They didn't even have music playing, and it's pretty hard to enjoy yourself while people are talking (and swearing) into phones, and listening to someone eat a bag of chips. The pedicure is worthy of three stars -- but not good enough for a return trip. I'd rather spend $51 for a manicure and pedicure at a mall nail spa. read more

My first time at Divine Nail Spa today. A little on the pricey side-I usually pay $35 for mani/pedi (in Arlington). Technician struggled to get pedi water semi warm and had to refill bowl and it was still not really that warm. During manicure, the little soaking bowl was tepid at best. I figured they are trying to save money by reducing hot water usage. I did not go for the additional $7 callous treatment during the pedicure. The owner is completely unprofessional and rude. Another customer told her nail stylist she was quoted $15 so they went to get the manager who turned out to be owner, and she came out and immediately said "ma'am I never told you gel would be $15" before even letting the customer speak, continued to tell the customer she was wrong, even after the customer told her she was also a manager at another salon and explained nothing was ever said about a difference in price depending on color and the owner continued to argue, raising her voice to the customer. The whole thing made me very uncomfortable and when she gave her the total and it was even more, I did interject and ask if she was going to give her something off for the miscommunication. The manager proceeded to tell me she had given her a discount but the customer said she didn't before she left. The owner then went to her associate and was venting/ complaining about the customer, as well as continued to bad mouth her to another customer. As a manager in the customer service industry I felt it was extremely unprofessional so I asked her if I could talk to her a minute before I left. We stepped outside where I told her how uncomfortable she made me feel as a customer for not only yelling at someone right in front of me, but then also bad mouthing her to another guest. The managers response was " you don't understand the kind of nonsense customers I've been dealing with today" WOW. I told her that comment was align with my point as I felt that was an inappropriate thing to say to me, but she clearly didn't get it as she continued to raise her voice to me and tell me I was wrong for saying anything. I was just trying to give her feedback as a third party observer. She never apologized to me or the other lady, and continued to raise her voice and tell me I was wrong, so I ended the conversation and told her I felt it is clear she does not care about her guests. I will never go back to this Salon after that. I have never written a negative review before, as working in the service industry I understand it stinks when someone doesn't just tell you in person, but in this case, I felt it was deserved since I did tell her in person, I gave her a chance to make things right or at least apologize for her behavior, and instead she was even more horrible to me for trying to provide in person honest feedback. read more

I really wanted to like this place since it is very close to my apt and very convenient. I tried it a few times, but I will not be going back again. The first time I went in for a gel manicure it somehow took the woman 1.5 hours to do my nails, which was just WAY too long. I went again this past week and had an appointment for 6:15. When I walked in I told them I had an appointment. The woman didn't even ask me what my appointment was for and told me to pick out a color. I told her I already had a color and then she just walked away and didn't even respond. So I sat there and waited. I did not get my nails done until 6:50, which was 35 minutes later than my SCHEDULED time. There was no apology either. This is the not the first time this happened so I give up on this place. I am new to the area and decided to try another nail spot as it was right next to the grocery store I use. Let me start of by saying the salon décor is beautiful and they have a wonderful selection of colors. A young woman did my nails she was very gentle and I thought she was going a fantastic job, I requested a pointy nail which I showed a picture of prior to me getting in the chair. she said she could execute it and so I proceeded with my appointment, to my dismay my nails were crooked. I called the salon the very next day and they told me to come in and she would fix it low and behold when I got there they said it was my fault and they asked prior to painting was it okay... they went on to try and fix them but I was still not satisfied instead of getting my money back I decided this just wasn't the place for me. A week and a half ago I went to Divine Nail Spa for the second time. The first time I went was wonderful and I got an excellent gel manicure that lasted almost 3 weeks. I was excited to go back. Unfortunately, the second time was not the same. An over aggressive nail tech left me with three fingers bleeding at the cuticle. My fingers still hurt every time I touch something and are constantly throbbing. One is infected and is oozing still. I emailed the salon via their website asking for a refund but got no response. At the salon it was unclear who is in charge and I didn't want to go into the salon and create a scene or embarrass the nail tech. I also never got the nail tech's name. The salon itself is very nice and relaxing. I am very bummed that I won't go back. I do think this was just one nail tech who didn't do a good job, but no way I can take the chance again going here.
