I asked a second time and explained that she was only 4 years old and could not hold it. Despite this, they still refused. I understand businesses may have restroom policies, but denying access to a clearly distressed toddler showed a lack of compassion and basic human decency. As someone who values kindness and community, I would not choose to patronize a business that treats parents and small children this way.

Located in Capital Heights, at my first appointment, it was kind of hard to spot. Be aware of the parking, as some of the spots are assigned. Upon walking in, use the door on the right to access the nail salon. Appointments are made online, and Tenecia prefers that appointments are made at the half hour only. No problems there. Nice selection of colors to choose from, and the place is clean. I noticed that Tenecia takes the time to clean the bowl in between clients, which I totally dig. Also, she uses new new tools, like emery boards, and buffers for each person. My first appointment was a gel mani (with designs of course) and a pedi. Let me tell you, it was one of thee best pedicures that I have EVER had. She is absolutely excellent at what she does. I loved the gel manicure as well, because she actually does a manicure; you know soaks the hands, trims the cuticles, massage, and the like. She totally takes her time. My nails were shaped beautifully, and they actually grew! Woop! My only issue, is that my mani didn't last as long as I would have expected, but that could totally be me, because I'm super hard on my nails. Oh, another plus is that she totally accommodated me (in between clients) when I chipped my toe...see uber hard on my nails. Even with this, she was still able to accommodate me within my appointment time. I really appreciated that. I read a few reviews about Tenicia's attitude, but I didn't have an issue. He got an attitude when I asked him to clean a tool he grabbed from the nail station. I'm trying to catch a plane, not an infection from a botched pedicure! Short version: Don't go here. There are no licenses posted in accordance with state law. Sanitation practices remain suspect and the technician's level of ability and give a damn are in competition for last place. Their rewards system awards 1 point each visit. After 10 visits, you earn $10 off of your service. GTFOH, are you serious? Consider how much people spend each visit and it only benefits the shop and not the customer. Focused on the number of people service and not the quality of the service. She placed my feet in plain water with no soap, and I had to ask for a soak product. She then rushed into pushing my cuticles back without letting them properly soak. When I asked for a few minutes to soak, she snapped, "Do you want to do the pedicure or not?" and when I calmly responded "Yes but, not with disrespect." , she walked out mid-service--literally left the building--after speaking to another tech in another language. She tossed me to the other technician, who was also preparing to leave and couldn't finish me up. The worst part? As she walked out, [the original tech] she said "F* you" to me. * (listen closely to the video, you can hear her.) I left feeling completely disrespected and told the remaining tech (I think Ann) that her $20 fee for my toe tips (because the pedicure never got done) should be deducted from her paycheck due to her poor service. Unfortunately, the customer service has consistently fallen short. On multiple visits, he didn't greet me when I arrived and was curt throughout my appointment. During one visit, he commented on my nails and asked, "Do you wash your hands?" I found that remark unnecessary and disrespectful. Most recently, he again didn't acknowledge me or say hello. I don't expect anyone to be overly friendly, but I do expect basic professionalism and courtesy. No customer should leave feeling like their business isn't appreciated. The other tech said yes. The person working on me started to speak another language. After further inspection, all of my toes have the same bleed. Rather than redo them all I opted not to have them all done. Is it really so hard to polish toes and not file off your cuticle beds to correct the mistake?

This was before any type of yoga, working out, anything. I also have become very accustomed to the woman who typically does my pedicure is being very thorough with removing ingrown, excess skin, calluses, etc. I definitely found myself wanting more from the callous removal.
