The home we rented was in Mission Beach (2663 #2 Ocean Front Walk) and it was a very beautiful place that my family and I stayed at for a week. We paid well above $7K to stay there and the management company still wanted to charge you for the Credit Card Fees of 2.75% and extra Cleaning fees. Dont bother to clean the bbq or the house you stay in because they will still charge you anyways. In order to not pay the extra fees on CC or Checks you have to pay cash..who has $7K in cash...Im mean really!! I tried taking a check over to the location of the company address and it was a resident home and Cheryl never called me back to meet me outside so we drove all the home and had to pay by CC. I also do not recommend staying close to the jetty anyways unless you get up before 6am. Those planes start bright and early in South Mission Beach. There is also no AC in this unit. Not that we always need AC by the beach even but it was miserable with lots of flys in the house, mostly because we had to keep doors open to keep the breeze going. The location of our condo was too far of a walk to the beach for kids. We really only went to the beach like twice because it was such a hassle to carry out all the necessities for kids...like ez-ups and chairs and ice chests. I would look at other Management companies if your going to rent anything in Mission or Pacific Beach.

TRAVELERS BEWARE We…read moreread the reviews before booking. They were mixed. I figured we were reasonable adults who could handle a quirky boutique hotel and decided to give it a shot. I was wrong in a way I am still processing. The guy who checked us in runs the cafe downstairs and is genuinely lovely. He is in no way responsible for what follows. Standing in that courtyard I thought okay, cute, this is going to be a thing. We were briefly charmed. We were catastrophically wrong. The room is worn. Scuffed walls, that particular feeling of a place that hasn't been looked after in a while. The bathroom is open to the room and the toilet is flushed by turning on the sink. I stood there absorbing that information for longer than I'd like to admit. Let me tell you something about this building. It is constructed around what felt like a shared utility core with every headboard in every room bolted directly into it. There are no real walls between units. Sound travels through this property like it is looking for someone. Whatever happens in any room happens in every room. This is not a quirk. This is a design failure and it is entirely the hotel's responsibility. I was sleeping soundly. Dead to the world. Then a push from my husband and I'm half awake, groggy, blinking at the ceiling. Then I hear it. A woman. Moaning. I lay there thinking okay, people have sex, we'll get through it. I close my eyes. Then the moaning builds into a full throated, wall shaking scream that I can only describe as the most theatrical climax I have ever been forced to witness as an unwilling audience of two. I think okay. It's over. I start to drift back off. It was not over. It happened again. And again. And again. Five separate climaxes over an hour and a half. None of it believable for a single second. This was not passion. This was a performance and not a particularly convincing one. At the very last one she started singing. With one of them. I have no follow up to that. I simply heard it and now I am telling you. My husband had been awake for twenty minutes before waking me up. He said I wouldn't have believed him if I hadn't heard it myself. He was right. Though at some point it absolutely would have woken me up on its own. When it was finally over we could hear people in other units rustling around in their beds. We were not the only ones. We drifted off around 3am. At sunrise the light poured straight through the windows and jolted us awake. Then the smoke alarm started beeping. Dead battery. That slow rhythmic beep arriving with the morning light like a message from God himself telling us to get the hell out. We grabbed our bags and went to the Marriott.

The biggest strengths of this hotel are its location and staff. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Unfortunately, I didn't feel the hotel justified its price of more than $250 per night (plus $30 for unsecured, unreserved parking). I stayed in a loft room and would not book that room type again. The stairs are steep, and the handrails felt loose. The bathroom, hidden behind a movable wall, along with the toilet and shower, felt more like a hostel than a boutique hotel. The room showed noticeable wear, including chipped paint and scratched walls. There were no hangers provided, and the pillows were thin and lacked support. Sleep was disappointing. The wall-mounted air conditioner was loud and had a musty odor, and the shades were not true blackout curtains, allowing streetlights into the room all night. Combined with street noise, I didn't get a restful night's sleep. If you're driving, I recommend paying for the on-site parking since street parking is limited. I also noticed unhoused individuals in the adjacent parking lot and alley during my stay. I like the hotel's modern Scandinavian-inspired concept, but it feels as though maintenance and guest comfort haven't kept pace with the design. With some updates and better attention to detail, this could be a much stronger property. In its current condition, however, I don't think it offers good value for the price.

Jefferey also accommodated some last minute travel changes, which many hosts might not do. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It's in central San Diego and close to everything. We were asked for a list of everything we'd need for breakfast including brand names or specific type for each item. There was more than enough food not only for breakfast but snacks throughout the stay! We were provided with all the small appliances we could possibly need including a ninja blender, keurig, standard coffee maker, crock pot, toaster oven, etc. There was a hot/cold water dispenser as well as water bottles provided. We had more than enough dishes (both actual dishware and paper goods) and linens. Upon check out we only needed to get our stuff, turn off the lights and lock up! No stripping the bed or putting the towels away. We were even told we could leave the dirty dishes in the sink if we wanted! Our security deposit was refunded in full and promptly! This is definitely a place I'd stay again for an extended period. Safe neighborhood, close to everything and so welcoming!
