    BREAKFAST ORDER
    Delaney S.

Coworkers and I visited here for a late breakfast on a Tuesday. For a party of 6, we were seated right away and immediately brought out waters which I appreciated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant is adorable. It really has that old timey, country feel. I enjoyed looking at all the decor on the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a wide selection of food from breakfast to lunch options. I ordered a plate that had 2 eggs cooked to your choice, 2 sausage patties, and home fries. I received such a plentiful serving of food. The eggs were cooked perfectly to my order. The sausage tasted so fresh. The home fries were crispy. Everyone else loved their dishes ranging from breakfast to lunch orders. The service was great and we got everything we needed. I want to end on the prices. Everything was fairly cheap. If you want a hardy meal that tastes great and doesn't break the bank, go here.

2.5 stars - Stopped for brunch on a Sunday morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was almost completely full with only a few available tables. However, it's not very expansive inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My party of 2 was seated, but then it took much too long to be acknowledged by our server. We actually considered leaving, but stuck it out. After that, it also took forever to receive our drinks. Coffee and O.J. came first, with another delay before being given our requested water (which should be the easiest to do). I had to get up and grab creamer from another unoccupied table, as we didn't have any at ours and no one offered us any. I did enjoy my Mama's Corned Beef Hash Benedict, but it had some hard pieces in the hash which got stuck in my teeth and didn't seem right. The home fries were cooked to my liking, with the perfect crisp and color. Based on this experience, I'm in no rush to return. I remember their other location from years ago, and this reincarnation falls flat.

Slow slow service! Never did waitress stop by we had to motion her over just to get a refill and to even pay. Ordered coffee , was glad they had flavored creamers on the table. I ordered the bacon, egg cheese on bun and substitute for fries, wasn't aware it was $2 more, sandwich was nothing special I could make the same thing at home with much fluffier eggs. The fries were hot but definitely nothing better than frozen fries from Walmart . Definitely should not of taken over an hour to eat. Husband did say the potato salad was good that it had a good dill flavor but the sandwich could have been spicier .

I would give this place a solid 3.5-4 rating. We wanted to try something for breakfast that wasn't a chain and discovered this place close to my house in Lake Nona. As far as breakfast it really is your average place but it definitely hits the spot! The service was quick and the server was nice and polite. My food was cold unfortunately but it was still spot on for a breakfast place. I think eating local rather than the chains is always the way to go and if I'm ever in need of some breakfast food I'll be stopping in here again!

This place is definitely a must-go. The food was delicious and the service was great. We had smoked sausage, scrambled eggs, Grits with cheese, hashbrowns with cheese, and a pancake, a breakfast for champions! everything was so tasty! Especially the smoked sausage. Can't get that everywhere The ladies working there were on top of it and very friendly and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is simple and clean and does the job.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sweet Mama's reminds me of a diner inside of a strip mall. The food was out right good! Most of the food was chef prepared. The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming and as I mentioned dinerish. Service was a little slow when I was there but the servers took care of getting us our food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The first thing I noticed when I entered was the "homey" feel of the restaurant. The decor is simple and quaint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I order the veggie scramble with hollandaise sauce, sourdough toast, and grits. My hubby ordered the Mama's corn beef hash eggs Benedict, he knew what he wanted the minute he looked at the menu and it said corn beef. We also told her we would be getting 2 large homemade cinnamon rolls to go. I had a sweet tea to drink and he had coffee and ice water. My sweet tea was brewed nice and strong just how I like it, it could've had a bit more sugar, but I understand the desire to let people sweeten to their own taste. I wouldn't call it true southern tea for the lack of sugar, but it was a good strong brew. My husband said the coffee was good diner coffee, standard, good brew, not weak (his pet peeve at Kekes diner). The water was not good, it wasn't filtered and had a bad tap water taste. We waited a LOOOOONG time for our food and in the meantime, there was no check in for a coffee refill or status update. When the food got to the table, my scramble was cold, as was my toast and grits. Even the side of hollandaise sauce for my eggs was cold. It was disappointing. My husband's food arrived and it was beautiful, a large Benedict in all its splendor. His food looked hot, although the hash-browns looked undercooked. At second glance, we realized she had brought us a classic Benedict, ham instead of hash, after about 10 min of trying to get the attendant's attention, I carried the plate to the bar seating myself and explained the problem. I sat back down and shared some of my food with my husband while we waited for his order to be corrected, unaware of how much longer we'd be stuck waiting again. While we were waiting, our waitress came over to let me know there were several Benedict options on the menu (I was aware) and that the mamas one is a classic Benedict with ham (it's not) there are several Mama's Benedict options, which is why he specified the corn beef hash when he ordered. It felt like she was trying to place the blame on the way it was ordered... I didn't love that. We were specific, but if you have several options for the Mama's Benedict why not ask which one just to be sure, in case someone else doesn't specify. Just to be clear, we did, he was specific when he ordered the corn beef. My husband's food arrived about 20 min later. He said it was really good, the hash-brown's were better too. They had crisped up the hash-browns and the corn beef hash was delicious (not homemade) but well done with the Benedict, although somehow it was still not hot. The Hollandaise sauce was good, the English muffin was large and toasted and he said it tasted good. He recommends the dish for anyone who likes that. My food was as good as it could be considering that it was cold. The grits were really good, I can only imagine how good it would be hot. The food quality was not spectacular, but it was a good standard breakfast. It could've been spectacular if the service wasn't so bad and the food wasn't cold. We then had to flag the attendant down AGAIN to ask for the bill, I needed a to go container, and I wanted to reduce the cinnamon bun to 1 instead of 2 bc after breakfast I didn't have high hopes for "homemade". Also, my husband and I never got our refills so I wanted a sweet tea to go. The waitress came out of the kitchen and to our table with 2 cinnamon buns packed and ready to go and the check in hand. Instead of adjusting the qty of cinnamon rolls, my husband said, just forget it and gave her his card while I asked for a drink and container to go. I opened the cinnamon rolls. I wouldn't call them impressive by any stretch of the imagination. They looked basic and definitely not fresh. They had been heated (unfortunately bc they were to-go) and there was barely any icing on them. I cut a little end off to taste them and they were hard as though they had been reheated more than once. Also, the icing was a weird texture (possibly a reheat problem). Unfortunately I didn't take pics of the food bc of the distraction of the order mixup but I did include the photo of the cinnamon buns. Judge for yourself. We paid the bill and we left. We were there for approx 1hr 30 min. It was getting busy as we left and I heard some complaints about the wait as I was leaving. Summary, if I was around the area and there wasn't another diner this place will get the job done, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to return. The food was mid, the service was a disappointment. It could be good, but it definitely needs improvement and less "HOME MADE" claims.

Very nice family business. My breakfast was great. The service was very very friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere is a country style similar to Cracker Barrel but on a family background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great place to try out

Service: the servers were very nice, we got a table almost immediately. They were nice enough to bring my daughter coloring paper and crayons. Food: subpar, my poached eggs were completely overcooked it was no longer runny. Flavor was okay. The potatoes didn't have any flavor or seasoning, it was just potato. My husband enjoyed his sandwich Price: Fair, we paid $34 for 2 adults, 1 child. Ambiance: cute breakfast spot, very family friendly. People are pretty close together but everyone is nice. Parking: this is located in a plaza. Easy to get close by parking. Rated 4 stars because my husband loved his sandwich and the service was fantastic. but I probably wouldn't return. There are so many breakfast spots around.

Just ok. Not a bad spot at all. Just didn't wow me. Good service. Servers were busy but made sure I had what I needed. Coffee was smooth and not bitter. This was my favorite part of the meal. Got one to-go. Chorizo scramble with egg whites was good. Grits with cheese were bland and the cheese didn't quite get them to true cheesy grits status. Biscuit was more flour than flake. So, it was left behind on the plate. It's a bit noisy with the music but a relaxed vibe. People coming and going. Regulars and travelers, like myself. All in all, a good breakfast.

The restaurant was extremely busy, so I expected a bit of a wait. However, the service was much slower than expected. It took a long time for our food to arrive, and one of the four kids' meals we ordered never came out. After waiting around 45 minutes, instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the issue, the manager approached us and immediately became argumentative about how many kids' meals had been ordered. I wasn't looking for a confrontation--I simply wanted the missing meal. I actually had to stop the conversation and tell him that if he came over just to argue, I wasn't interested. That interaction really left a bad impression. As for the food, it was a mix of highs and lows. The blue crab dip was easily the standout of the meal--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. It's absolutely worth ordering. The edamame was also well prepared and made for a great appetizer. Unfortunately, the gnocchi was the complete opposite. It arrived ice cold, lacked flavor, and was one of the most disappointing entrées I've had. For roughly $45 between my meal and wine, I expected a much better experience. While I appreciate that they offered a Kids Eat Free promotion, the long wait, missing meal, and poor handling of the situation overshadowed that benefit. The restaurant itself has a sleek, contemporary atmosphere that's great for groups or families, but the lack of attentive service and the manager's approach to customer concerns made the experience far less enjoyable. I hope they've improved since my visit, because the blue crab dip alone deserves recognition, but based on this experience, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
