The way the dentist approached him felt abrupt and insensitive, which caused him to become fearful during what should have been a positive first visit. There was little effort made to help him feel comfortable or safe, and I was not given helpful guidance on how to approach brushing his teeth at this stage. The appointment ended with the dentist walking away in what seemed like frustration, which was concerning. I do want to mention that the hygienist was much kinder and took the time to provide helpful tips after the dentist left, and I appreciated her effort. As a parent, I was hoping for a supportive and reassuring first dental experience for my child, and unfortunately, that was not what we received.

Over time, three different members of my family, including my parents, had negative experiences with dental work that resulted in additional appointments, pain, extra expense, and corrective work. After multiple incidents, we ultimately decided to remove our entire family from this office. I am genuinely disappointed because we had been patients here for many years and previously had a great experience. While the new dentist may simply need more experience, we no longer feel comfortable trusting our dental care to this practice.

I went to call and it says the phone number has restrictions. I am unable to leave a message to even cancel within the 48 hour window. Luckily, I have the office email so I am able to email the cancellation, but I believe the office needs a working voicemail at the very least so customers can leave messages. Especially because they plan on charging people a $50 fee if they do not cancel in time.

Dr. Wiley is so kind, compassionate and truly cares for her patients. She is SO gentle and patient with my disabled son. He felt comfortable with her and the team from the minute he stepped in the office. It honestly brought tears to my eyes. I had a mixed experience at Fairfield Dentist today. I was running behind for my cleaning, but I…read morecalled ahead and was told there was a 15-minute grace period. I arrived within that window (right around 14 minutes late) and immediately apologized to both the front desk staff and the dental hygienist. Unfortunately, instead of acknowledging the apology and moving forward, the hygienist repeatedly focused on my tardiness. She made comments about how it would "put a damper" on the appointment and continued to bring it up even after I had already taken accountability. The tone felt unwelcoming and, at times, unnecessarily reprimanding. Dental visits already put patients in a vulnerable position, and the last thing you want is to feel uncomfortable with the person providing care. Because of this, I ultimately chose to reschedule the cleaning and step away from that interaction. That said, I did keep my 9:00 AM appointment with the dentist, and that portion of my visit was very pleasant. I was also seen by Alex Howard, who is an absolute gem--always kind, down to earth, and warm. My experiences with her have consistently been positive, which made the earlier interaction stand out even more. I understand the importance of staying on schedule, but once a patient communicates and apologizes, there's no need to continue addressing it in a way that feels excessive. A more professional and solution-oriented approach would have made all the difference. Overall, while parts of my experience were great, others left a lot to be desired.
