I'm very happy with my experience here! I got taken in right away on a Saturday afternoon for a pedicure. Their color selection is quite large and they offer a multitude of packages. I got a number 5 pedi and it was soooo nice. My massage was great, the lotions and exfoliates they use were great and it all made me feel so relaxed. I watched the employee take the tools out of the UV sterilizer so I know they were clean and everything was sanitized before I sat down. This salon is absolutely wonderful! The prices range from basic care to full splurge, and Peter was fantastic. I wish I had read these reviews before I went to DJ's Sweet Nails. I went there 07/22/23 @ 11:45 AM to get a gel french manicure. I was in a hurry that day and this was the closest place that was open. When I went there, there was not one customer there. I asked if they could do my nails then. They said yes. I then asked how much for the service which they said $45. I said that's a bit steep. I hope it's good. There was one lady doing my nails with the other tech hovering over us, then comes a young man. I finally asked if there was something wrong with my nails that all three of you are staring at my nails and talking in their language. Just before she began to paint my nails I told her I like my nails rounded. She said everybody does square nails. She said I should have told her sooner! No lady - I always get asked. Not to mention the entire time they were talking junk about me. Today at 1:00pm I was back at the salon with chipped uneven gel nails. He said come back later and I'll fix them. I said, what the same way?? I said I can't but can you at least fill in the chip with some white polish? He did and he just applied it messy. I said why don't you just give me back my money and I'll go eleswhere? he starting yelling about me in his language. He finally gave me back $40 of the $58 dollars I spent for the service. Dj's sweet nails is not worth your money or time. To start off they book to many in a short amount of time. They had multiple people sitting and waiting past their appointment time. As I was getting my nails done they where rough and even broke my skin with their drill press. They where very slow and we're doing other people nails while in the middle of my appointments. I got a almond french tip, the shape was really bad, the acrylic was VERY bumpy. I showed the guy that was doing my nails the photo I got off line that I wanted to recreate. He said he understand what I wanted bud obviously didn't. As it was time to pay the prices on the board and the price the nail lady gave me where two different prices. Dip nails....it was cool to experience. Pedicure, not so much. My toes are all infected now, fungus I guess. I even had cellulitis in one of my toes. Excuse my ugly toes but this is disgusting. Dont go there. They didnt sanitize the tools and i even told them i was a diabetic. Add to that the fact that non of them talk to you, just about you in their native tongue. Three of us got pedicures prior to vacation, and all three of us had the polish chipping the next day. I even paid $2 more for the "better" polish. I did not see them take anything out of individual packaging or sterilizing machines. Everything came from their drawers and there was no wrap in the tub or any signs that they were cleaned prior. It all felt very gross. They were quite rude and paying at the end was uncomfortable because the person ringing us out didn't understand how to add tip, also if you pay cash then you don't pay sales tax.... I have really shirt nails.... It should NOT TAKE 1 hour and 15 min to get a freaking manicure! No artificial nails. Just my own...short! Way toooooo long. I have had FULL SETS completed beautifully in that time frame. I left without hands being moisturized which is what I needed the most! Why did I leave without it. I just want to take a minute to talk about something really disturbing that just happened to me at this nail salon. I stopped into this salon because it's close to my house and it was one of the only ones open on a Sunday night. BIG MISTAKE. I asked the woman to remove my acrylic nails, which for those of you who do not know, are literally CONNECTED to my natural nails. This woman just takes tools and starts ripping into my acrylic & then she whips out HER BUS CARD out of her pocket and tries to get leverage under my acrylic nail to try and pop it off. Immediately i asked her what the hell she thought she was doing 1) not using sanitized tools on my nails and 2) not soaking my nails to help lift the acrylic off without inflicting pain and 3) USING HER ACTUAL BUS CARD (ew/disgusting/appalling/horrifying) TO DO THE JOB. Instead of apologizing immediately (the only response acceptable), she starts talking in her language to her coworkers and sends another woman over to me who attempts to do essentially the same thing while STILL TRYING WITH THE BUS CARD. Okay now I'm pissed. I tell them how unprofessional, unsanitary and how they're violating a number of health codes with their actions & then i promptly left. Ladies & gents, if something feels wrong it's wrong. LEAVE THAT PLACE IMMEDIATELY. I'm shocked and I'm pissed. That could cause so much infection. Who thinks this is okay ??? Don't go here. went to this salon for a mani/pedi for my birthday with a friend. had a bad experience here. firstly the manager/owner was very rude from the time we came in to the time we left. I was told to pick a color our of chart of gel polish which did not have many to choose from. the color I picked when the nail tech went to do my pedi was empty, the manager gave me the chart back and told me to pick color and proceeded to put the empty bottle back on the rack. the second color I picked again was empty and was told to pick color and that bottle got put back on the shelf. this color ended up being a top coat not a gel polish and I told them please change it. the nail tech got mad and the two started talking in their language. finally my pedi was done and it was time for the manicure. I sat down and he proceeded to do my manicure, when doing my cuticles he went too far in and nicked my cuticle. when we were done the manager told me the bill and he then asked how much tip I was adding. I told him and he shook his head and threw the clipboard down with my slip to sign. his remark is "that was a lot of work". I did give the tech a decent tip but guess the manager wanted more. shortly after leaving I noticed the nail polish on my fingers were not done good there are gaps on the sides of my nail and at the cuticles. I have been coming here for years, since the summer they first opened. At first, it was great! The people are a little strange, you can tell they are making fun of you / talking about you but It never bothered me. Now, since they have gotten so popular, things have gone downhill! They charge tax on credit or debit now, they encourage you to pay tip in cash and I don't trust those nail sanitizers. Everyone shares a nail file, how do I know those nail sanitizers keep them clean? My shellac has peeled off so many times, never used to chip! I don't come here anymore. read more

Ive been here a total of two times and each time I have left feeling hopeless. While they offer nice massages that include hot towels free of charge with any service. I got the older lady both times, once for a pedi then a mani. She doesn't pay attention to anything she does. And while their prices are reasonable the quality of it sucks. The paint job is horrendous. You have to walk through every step of the way or she wont do it (soak nails, cuticles and clean nail bed, add base coat, clean cuticle when you go outside with paint,etc). You would think they cared about detail and customer service because they are located in great area that could sustain great business. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this nail salon. The owner Laura is extremely accommodating! They are a busy salon so I recommend setting an appointment if you plan on going during the weekend. I get the dipping powder on my nails and they have a great price and sometimes I can go 3 weeks before I really need them done again. All the nail services come with a massage and they do it very well. All the employees are really friendly and if you are unhappy for any reason they will go out of their way to correct the problem. I went there for a gel manicure & acrylic removal. I had to ask 5 times to soak off my acrylics before they listened to me. They were going to use a metro card to remove them. One girl kept making remarks and laughing and pointing at my nails making gestures like it was crazy I wanted them soaked instead of removed with a metro card ‍ they let me soak and walked away. 20 mins later nobody had come back so I had to ask someone to come check on them for me since I know they need to be filed throughout the process. During my manicure all they did was file my nails and apply polish ...no cuticle oil, no hand massage ..& while she was doing my nails she kept sighing like it was hard for her to continue. First time here. I was asked what number pedicure I wanted 3 times in a 30 second span. I asked if I could take a minute to look at my choices before deciding. He did the same thing to my daughter. The pedicure was rushed, so I decided not to get a manicure. After telling them I didn't want a manicure, they started talking and laughing, which made me feel uncomfortable. Will never return!! I used to come here quite often when this location first opened up. Although the massages are fantastic as a bonus the quality of shellac nails was poor. Last Friday I decided to return back had a pedicure and a manicure and shellac. What they consider a manicure is just cutting your cuticles while they are dry. By Monday morning all my nails had chipped so I returned today for the fix. So here goes... The fix was to color in the chips, put me under the uv and be absolutely rude during the entire time. The shellac was put on wrong and that is why they chipped not because I felt like wasting my time . I believe in second chances, and this was their second chance with me. I went for a refill because my new place was pretty packed and I forgot to make an apportionment. One of the ladies asked me what I wanted and told me a different price that was on the wall. She argued with me, and got really loud. Whether I was confused or not it was no way to talk to anyone ! She proceeded to do my nails and was pretty rough with me. She told me I could not do French tip nails, and made me pick a color, their options weren't the nicest either. Really great value. Not the most beautiful spa ever- no mood lighting or anything like that- just your typical looking nail salon. As of July 2013 a gel polish mani (shellac etc) is $24 which is so reasonable, and a pedicure is $18 (for a few extra bucks there's something like 6 additional options including longer massage than the 5 minutes included, callus removal and more). It's pretty good. Nothing exceptional but not disappointing. I've had pedicures from 4 or 5 of the people who work there. The men are extremely rough to the point where I will be (awkwardly!) requesting the women moving forward. Do yourself a favor and ask how long the wait is, though. Sometimes they'll tell you to take a seat and then 20 minutes later you'll still be sitting there. Not a bad nail salon, cheap prices for a pedicure and/or manicure. I've gotten regular manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic manicures, and my eye brows waxed here previously without complaints. In the summer time there is almost always a wait, but in the colder months the wait is almost nothing. Sometimes the salon workers can get a little too rough with removing dead skin or the shoulder massage as your nails are drying. Hands down the worst pedicure I have ever received. Not only was everything not sanitized properly, but they didn't even clean under my toe nails. When it was time for the massage, my guy yawned and then proceeded to dig his knuckle into my foot over and over to the point where it was painful. If this bores you to work there then don't. The old nail polish was not even taken off my nails before applying the new one, and there is polish all over my skin. While you're sitting to get your nails dry they offer a "massage" which means he will put all his weight into your shoulders causing it to be very painful. I clearly did not tip because it was awful service. He then did not want to even give me a receipt until I demanded one. When we left they were very clearly speaking negatively about us not tipping. Here is a clue, tips are for GOOD service not awful service. I will never be back and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Very disappointing! Went here on a Thursday evening for a manicure. By 4 pm the next day, the polish was coming off in sheets! I have never seen this happen before. The shaping was also terrible--all the nails were different lengths and shapes. Can I give it NO stars? My nails came out OK(did chip day 2),I got a gel manicure and the price was good, but the employees are gross. I watched these guys go out and smoke, return smelling of heavy tobacco, not wash their hands and then take customers. What's worse, one of the employees coughed up mucus at least 10x during my manicure and spit it into the cotton clothes they use to remove polish, again he NEVER washed his hands. I couldn't wash my hands fast enough and felt gross after I left. I felt bad he just coughed up mucus and a few minutes later he was giving a massage to a customer! Disgusting. This place has good prices but they always have newbies working there so you never know if you're going to get a good pedi or not :/ I just had another new girl (like brand new!) and she was pretty bad. I wanted to update my last review because I was very unhappy with my last experience here. I was a repeat customer for many months and always gave excellent tips because the service was fast and usually good. But last time, they paired me with someone I had never seen there before, and he proceeded to butcher my fingers and give me one of the ugliest fills I have ever had. The tips were lumpy and misshapen, and he kept using his own incredibly sharp fingernail to push back my cuticles, which is both disgusting and painful. I repeatedly asked him to stop and he kept doing it. The tips then all broke off after a couple of weeks. I'm not sure why they would pair up a well-paying, frequent customer with someone who clearly doesn't know what they are doing, but I will not be returning. He should stick to standing outside smoking and leave the customer's feet alone! I have been going here since they opened but I will NOT be back! I paid for a hot stone foot massage and all he did was run it up and down each foot once. Awful! Then he put one coat of polish on my toes. ONE COAT! Never again. You lost a loyal customer.
