I returned to the breakfast joynt after being away from Scottsdale for four years. This time I returned after getting a workout in and shower and I have to say not much has changed. The place was buzzing and it was quite comfortable inside despite being 110° outside ! They were busy, but I was seated right away. They gave me a choice of a booth, a table or sitting at the bar and I chose a booth. Everyone was very nice and the place was in fantastic shape my server Alana came over and got me very familiarized with the menu and I actually ordered the same thing I had four years ago except instead of having egg whites, I have my eggs over well with hash browns which have a little bit of onion in them turkey sausage, and hot cakes. I also had a cup of hot coffee and it was good and hot as well. Everything came out right away and it was delicious. I had a little Tabasco on the side. If we're in the Scottsdale area for whatever reason, hiking golfing ice-skating, but just to relax I highly recommend you and your family stop by the breakfast Joynt. Hands down, the best breakfast burrito I've ever had! They call them Brekky Burritos at The Breakfast Joynt. Here's the scoop! I tried The Californian (three perfectly scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fresh avocado, juicy tomato, and melty mozzarella) all wrapped up in one amazing tortilla. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and totally satisfying. It's hearty without feeling heavy, and you can tell the ingredients are top-notch. My husband and I found a breakfast joint new to us. It's a Chicago themed restaurant and from our experience Chicago does restaurants really well. We tried the 2x2 with pancakes that were so tender and flavorful and we added fresh blueberries. We also had a side order of their biscuits and gravy since it's made in house and I must say it's a step up from most places. The hash browns were tasty and the eggs were done perfectly as we asked. I found this place on yelp and based on the menu and proximity to my hotel, I opted to visit. They check all the boxes. The food (chicken fried steak) was amazing. The price was reasonable. The service was impeccable. The owners came out to greet me and shared their story. The wait staff is top notch. A real cut above any chain restaurant at which I've dined. I don't know what the owners do to recruit or pay their staff, maybe the staff are family members or friends of family. But the wait staff are always SUPER friendly and attentive. The ambience is cool with the Chicago theme. I think the owners are from Chicago. Food is tasty too. I recommend the omelets. For $15 one can have as many ingredients as you want. What a great find! I've been searching for brunch spots while my daughter was in a cooking class in Scottsdale and found The Breakfast Joynt via yelp. I'm at SO happy I tried it out and will most definitely be back. The service was outstanding and all the servers were super friendly and quick to check on me throughout my visit. I ordered a regular mimosa and was pleased that it was only $6 a glass with an option for a larger mimosa (mostly champagne) for $11. Most places nowadays charge almost $10 for a single regular mimosa which is becoming a bit ridiculous.... I also had the heart healthy burrito with no asparagus and swapped the mozzarella cheese for feta cheese. They were happy to make the substitution and the flavor was so good! The burrito was a good size and filled with egg whites, spinach, tomato, bell peppers, and cheese. The side of hash browns were quite tasty as well. I love that they had cholula as one of the hot sauce options. I sat at the bar area right in front of the kitchen and was able to see all the other dishes going out. I came to brunch with friend on a Saturday morning around 10 am. The place was busy and we were seated quickly. I felt bad because while we were catching up the waitress tried to take our order a few times and we weren't ready to order - but they were on top of it!! The layout is modern, bright and airy and the place gets good sunlight from the windows. Perfect for a breakfast spot. I ordered the chicken fried steak which was prepared very well. The gravy was the perfect viscosity and was seasoned well. The steak itself was tender and flavorful and the breading was crispy and slightly shattery- a perfect contrast to the texture of the steak and the gravy. I asked for extra crispy hash browns and was disappointed to find that mine weren't very crispy at all - but they were seasoned very well and though it's not my preferred texture, my hash browns did have a nice satisfying bite to them - almost like al dente pasta. I really love the servers here. They're very attentive and super nice. My issue is with the food. When you pay $20 for breakfast, you expect quality and I just haven't experienced that on a vast majority of my visits. For example, instead of real maple syrup, they offer caramel colored corn syrup. The pancakes are almost always dry. Every time I've ordered blueberry pancakes, the cook tosses a few blueberries on top of the pancakes instead of cooking pancakes with blueberries INSIDE. Even after requesting they be made the traditional way, it still happens. I also don't think you should have to ask for blueberry pancakes to have blueberries inside of them. It's especially frustrating when blueberry pancakes are a $2 up-charge and you're served plain pancakes with 5 blueberries on top. So, even though this place is convenient and I really like the staff, I think I'm done. There are too many other breakfast options that are better and more consistent in terms of quality. read more

The food was perfectly balanced with flavor and wasn't too much of anything. Everything was perfect. We matched each meal with a latte and oat milk, cold brew and oat milk, and two Mama's Mimosa (straight up Prosecco). We also met Sue, who is the Mama and created the drink - she told us, why mess with a perfectly good glass of champagne?! She was honestly such a great light of energy in the whole place.
