Great food, and good service! Have always loved their pizza and sandwiches. The employees are very nice.

Though on a standard visit, this place is OK for an occasional stop, it is definitely not something to go to when you crave something of quality. One thing that irks me is that a friend called to order a pizza (later in the evening) and they were "out of larges"... which deeply concerns me. I can only assume they have pre-made crusts, and the pizza tastes like it. The entire bottom of the pizza tastes like a thin layer of edible plastic, while the rest just has a generic out-of-the-can flavor. Again, while not terrible, and the environment of the restaurant is nice enough, if you want actual food, go to Clearlake or Clearlake Oaks, both have much better pizza restaurant (Pogo's in Clearlake and Firehouse in Clearlake Oaks). read more

DJ's pizza is what good pizza should taste like! The quality of their ingredients brings about flavor reminiscent of what pizza tasted like when I was a kid. My personal favorites are the Hawaiian, pepperoni and mushroom, and classic cheese. Their ranch dressing is the best! I have also been to one of their "all you can eat" fundraisers and it was fantastic with hot pizzas coming out non-stop. I mostly order takeout but their staff has always been friendly. The pizza is good but this place is disgusting!! There was 6 "men" working each morning unhygienic looking than the next and not one customer eating inside yet the floor was filled with trash and food and dirt the "garlic bread" was literally a hot dog bun with melted cheese and canned garlic ...I was scared to use the fountain soda. Chairs and tables were sticky or had left over food and then the guy gave us DIRTY PLATES! They had frosting on the bottom of them and he did apologize but I just cannot believe there was SIX people working and the place was so FILTHY. They also had no ranch prepared or anything I feel bad for the owners of this place paying so many people to stand around in such a difficult time. I don't like that the 15% discount wasn't honored here! It was almost a slap in the face when they baited me in here with pictures and aromatherapy of pizza. Never disappointed with a pizza I've eaten from DJ's. They use the corn meal bottom of the crust as is standard in this area. DJ's holds many fundraisers for local youth programs and is a great asset to the community. Give em a try and you might have a new favorite place to grab dinner! read more

I placed an order with chicken on my pizza and when I got my pizza there was garlic Hall over it instead of chicken. I called to get a new pizza and they told me to bring the old pizza back In... I'm in the food industry and you cannot bring food back in that is cross contamination. And it was like they were challenging me to see if I was lying. Called was told order would be 50 mins, ok willing to wait. Went to get my pizzas THEY FORGOT TO MAKE MY ORDER. Was then told to wait another 20 mins. 70 mins to get my pizzas. Horrible service and a rip off. The first time I went and had 2 trips to the salad bar with my pizza lunch combo. Today, we were charged more and I was yelled at for going to the salad bar for a second trip. The guy was really rude and told us that the toppings we wanted on our mini pizzas would not be possible... Even though we just had the exact same order last week. Im surprised to find DJs rockin it at number 13. This place is definitely in my top 3, along with stone fire and roundtable. I have yet to have bad service. The sauce is amazing, the toppings are superb. The crust is one of my favorites. Even cols this pizza still tastes awesome. If a pizza isn't good cold, then it isnt a good pizza in my book. Pizzas always cooked right. Usually this place is pretty busy when I go in. I usually only stop by when I'm in town for a while though. Use to go here all the time with my best friends before they moved away. I knew it was good and that's only dye to them having gotten me to eat it. Kind of hidden in plain sight, DJ's is right off the road. I hadn't been in yet, but thought I'd give it a go, given the lack of good pizza places in the county. Color me surprised when I discovered what might be some of the best pizza I've ever had. I just ordered a simple pepperoni pizza the first time and was astounded at the depth of flavor and quality of crust. The second trip I went for a combination and came up with the same result. After talking with Kyle, the owner, I was even more impressed. They don't use cheaper ingredients to cut costs. They focus on good quality ingredients and keep it at an affordable price. Heck, my wife and I had split that small combination, had a small pitcher of soda, and came out right around $15. Where else can you pull that off? While I was there, a teacher came in and picked up some pizzas for her classroom or some such. As it was slow at the time, I overheard the conversation and was floored at how little she had to pay. I asked Kyle about it afterwards, and he said they give deep discounts for school related purchases, knowing that it's tough on them to treat and reward the students, but it's something he wants to keep happening. Apparently the elementary school even gives out free pizza coupons for student of the month and perfect attendance. It's really great to see a local business owner so helpful with the schools, for no reason other than "it's how it should be." To sum it up, I'm hooked on DJ's Pizza, as should anybody else in the area, or even just passing through. The food is fantastic, and the people behind it are even better. I'm rating this a 4 because I know how much they do for the community & the pizza is very good. However, this restaraunt is so dirty. The bathroom looks like a gas station bathroom. The ceiling fan hanging over the soda machine has inches of dust & cobwebs on it. The seats are falling apart & the one & only tv they have barely works. They constantly screw up orders and their pizza is EXTREMELY greasy to the point that it's soggy everytime I've been there. Plus if they run out of an ingredient instead of telling you they just hand you the pizza and hope you don't notice. I never usually said anything and the one time I did after a major mess up on their part all I got was "oh sorry about that" no discount on the 25 bucks I just spent on a messed up pizza nothing. Just started going to DJ's pizza again- and definitely recommend it. I think perhaps when we went before it must have been a down night, because we have been quite pleased with it the dozen or so times we ate there over the spring and summer. Atmosphere is reminiscent of early pizza parlors- down to earth and nothing fancy- which is fine. When we want a fancy restaurant, we go to a fancy restaurant. But when we want pizza, we just want pizza. We've always found the service friendly and competent. When 3 car loads of my family was passing through the area, we called ahead and all met there for some really great pizza, drinks & conversation; and enjoyed a very causal non hurried lunch., The employees were very accommodating to the large party of a dozen or so people taking up space catching up and didn't rush us at all. We had a large group about 9 people and took a chance on this place on a drive back from Healdsburg. The place is quite dated - like out of the 70s but it was clean. The pizza was GREAT. We had the combo, garlic chicken, and pepperoni. The crust was just like we like it thin and toasty and the pizza was pipping hot with plenty of toppings. I may not drive all the way out there from my home in Sacramento but I definitely would pop in if we are going through Lower Lake. read more
