I bought a Groupon for a VI peel. When I called to schedule, the person answered the phone like I…read morejust woke her up. She didn't identify the name of the salon, she just barely said "hello". That was the first red flag! Also this is NOT A MEDI-SPA so you will not receive that level of service (second red flag). The nail in the coffin was when I was told that Groupon made a mistake and it wasn't really for an VI peel at all! I was given a few very cheap replacement options: "needling" (you can buy one of those devices on Amazon for $20, check it out yourself); "dermabrasion" (one if those battery operated facial brushes you can buy anywhere), or a glycolic peel (very inexpensive option and also available on line if you want to try). The more I said I wanted the VI peel (as printed on the Groupon I was holding in my hand) the more attitude I received. I was told needling was actually an upgrade from the VI peel option and repeatedly challenged about why I didn't want needling, because she insisted it was even better than an VI peel. (What? Was she serious?!?) PLEASE google the benefits of a VI peel vs. needling if you aren't already aware. She was also pushing over the counter skin care products as if there wasn't anything better. I was talked to as if I never had a facial procedure before, when I fact I've spent literally thousands on high end peels and use prescription Retin A and the complete Obagi nuderm system; in fact, I'm pretty sure I know more about facial services than the woman who answered the phone! In short, she sounded completely unknowledgeable to the point where I didn't want her doing any sort of procedure on my face at all, especially a peel procedure. This is someone I did not want to have spreading acid on my face!! I didn't schedule anything but instead contacted Groupon and explained the salon was doing a bait and switch. Five days later Groupon refunded my money. I'm surprised the salon is still allowed to advertise on Groupon. You have been warned, do not go here! Spend whatever money you were going to spend on the do it at home devices for sale on line; that's the quality of the one time service you would probably receive here anyway and you might know more than the person at the salon, too. It was a big reminder for me to spend a little more and to always get facial procedures done in a medical setting by a true medical professional.
