Albert and Hugo are great! They are honest and tell you exactly what you need...no price gouging here. They stand by their work. They really have a customer service orientation and have even helped customers with transportation in instances of extenuating circumstances where they can't wait for their car to be serviced. Great service. This is my second time taking my car to DMA Automotive and my second experience was just as pleasant as the first time. Prior to me actually committing to a day and time to bring my car in for service I may have spoken to the shop owner 4-5 times and he was very patient with me while trying to align our schedules. The shop provides free shuttle service for pickup and drop off within a certain perimeter of the shop. If you plan to get major work done to your car, if you plan in advance you can take advantage of the free rental car service. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the adorable shop mascots. I don't know their names but he has 2 beautiful pit bulls at the shop. They have their own couch and blanket so you don't have to worry about them bothering you while in the waiting area. straight up lied to my face. Took car in for oil change. When i made the appointment and checked the car in i must have verbally confirmed 4-5 times there are no service lights on. The guy even went to the car to get the mileage etc and said NOTHING. When returning my car - surprise there are now service lights. Guy at counter looked me in the eye and said it was brought in that way. No, sir! Another dishonest scam shop. Hopefully its just a battery but I wouldn't trust these clowns. Run away. read more

Lots of "we will fix the problem some but not all the way to keep them coming back" and "let's give them cheap parts that last the extent of the warranty so they have to come back sooner than they should". Oh and that'll be 150$ just to look at it. Steer away from these cons. read more

FEMALES BE AWARE Research reviews on the internet - The reviews of perfect strangers can be useful. One rule of thumb is to disregard reviews that seem biased (much like the ones on DMA Automotive Group) and build your opinion of the consensus of the group. Owner Alex answered the call when I called to say my AUDI 4 would not start, and I believed it was related to the battery. He provided me the name of a towing company. The tow company immediately, when the driver arrived, he successfully jumped started (battery) the car. I then began to back the car from the drive; however concerned the battery would fail again. I requested the car to be taken to DMA Auto to check it out. Later in the day Alex called and identified the battery needed to be replaced ($360 including the tow). However, he suggested leaving the car until the following day when his Best Mechanic had the opportunity to check things out. The following morning I needed to travel, I called Alex he stated his mechanic noticed a small problem with the Vent Value being slightly plugged which later could cause problems (oil or air leak). The cost of the additional repairs would be $400. I told Alex I would address the issue when I returned. I authorized payment via credit card and had my girlfriend pick the car up later. What I did not reveal was that two days before the battery went low, my fiancée who is a Manager @ Firestone replaced the tires, performed a tune-up and oil change.All was good because we needed to travel versus waiting to have the battery replaced when I returned I choose to have the battery replaced that morning. Three days later we returned home after burying my brother, I started the car, and it sounded like shit. I called Alex he said he identified the problem of the Vent Value being plugged. My finance immediately got in the car and drove it to Tires Plus (Johns Creek), the sister company of Firestone. Tires Plus mechanic raises the hood, and surprisingly finds that DMA BEST AUTO MECHANIC had removed the screws from engine hose/line, (SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTO) and the hose was no longer attached to the vent, causing air to escape and causing the car to run rough and loud. Women listen and heed the advice of husbands, fiancées, and brothers. Shop repairs at Firestone, Tires Plus (Johns Creek) corporate chains. Alex and his master mechanic are rip-offs. Alex, I am forwarding a copy of this letter to the Better Business Bureau. read more

This place is fine for small fixes but whatever you do don't let them talk you into a radiator flush. They did this and didn't clean out all the rust and it ended up costing me several trips back and $2500. They could be on the level but I feel like I was taken advantage of. read more

I've been going to Albert and DMA for several years now. He has done a great job with all the repairs my car has needed.

DMA charged $158 to change my battery (BMW). Another shop charged $71 including the programming of the car's computer.

Long story short. I went to DMA because my engine was overheating, it took around 20 minutes and they told me I needed a new engine. I went to Big Brothers Auto for a Second opinion, and they told me it was simply a water pump. It went from a new engine at DMA $1000-$2000(based on research), To a water pump at Big Brothers for $220. I strongly feel like I was lied to and taken advantage of. My car wouldn't run so I needed to get whatever fixed immediately. I don't trust them and I won't ever go back. I just got a really bad vibe from DMA. read more

So heartbroken! I've been going to DMA for years because they have great customer service. However, I've noticed that the last couple of repair quotes on that I've received from them were higher than the Lexus dealership so I would get things done elsewhere. This last time I took for granted that the cost to replace my turn signal light bulb would be around $20 or $30. I've had this service done by them before and at other place and even the Lexus dealership charges $30 to replace. Well for a $10 bulb and .5 of labor my bill was $63....and the bulb the put us already dimmer than the the was working fine. Very disappointed with their expensive cost and will have to find another local repair shop. read more

I went for an oil change, and told them that my check engine light is on to check for it. They changed the oil and told me that the purge valve code came up and it needs to be replaced. They asked $130 for diagnosing the check engine light.... I went to the dealer and they did the same diagnostics for free as it takes just 2 minutes to do it.... I got the Actron OBD scanner myself from Amazon for $65 which was on sale, the scanner which tells you whats wrong with your car.... So, I went back to them to see may be they charged me $130 by mistake for this diagnostics.... But the owner said, that was not an error, that is what he charges.... In the hopes of avoiding the higher prices of the chain places (e.g. NTB, Jiffy Lube, etc.) who force you to buy their parts, which costs double, I tried bringing my truck to DMA to get my wheel bearings replaced. BIG mistake. I left my truck in their lot overnight and called them the next morning to discuss the details and the cost of the job... the quote they gave me was robbery (and I mean that literally, as you'll see in a moment)... first, they wanted to take 4 hours for a job that other shops said could be done in 2. On top of that, they charge $120 an hour for labor. DO NOT let a shop charge you that much for labor. Excellent shops everywhere charge $80/hr all day, so don't let shady jokers like these tell you otherwise. So when I discovered that the quote was actually HIGHER than NTB (really??) despite the fact that I was bringing DMA my OWN parts, well, I was stunned. You mean I could be SAVING money by letting NTB gouge me on the parts? Amazing. So I said, "No thanks, I'll just come pick up the truck and take it elsewhere." They said: "No problem, just pay us a $115 diagnostic charge." Well that was interesting, because I didn't authorize them to do a diagnostic test. The truck had already been diagnosed by NTB (who charged me... you guessed it... $0). I objected, but in the hopes of reaching a reasonable agreement I asked if they would AT LEAST apply the absurd/unwarranted $115 diagnostic charge to the overall cost of the repair if I allowed them to work on my truck. They said no.They told me that they were going to "hold my truck" until I paid them for the diagnostic, OR, I could pay them the unauthorized diagnostic fee AND pay them for the WAYYY overpriced labor quote. I said I would do neither, of course, and I called around to a couple of other shops who both immediately said: "That's unethical... and you need to call the police, because this is not lawful, and they can't hold your truck." Well, that advice turned out to be correct, because I did call the police, and an officer showed up promptly and handled business. The vehicle was immediately returned to me, and I didn't pay them a dime... and neither should anyone else. The owner was VERY unhappy that I called his bluff and seemed upset that I didn't just let him screw me over. These guys are crooks... DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO DMA. For the record, the next shop I took it to did the labor for $200 less and didn't charge any diagnostic fee for a wheel bearing... OF COURSE. read more
