I'm so happy there's finally a good breakfast and donut place close to my workplace. This is everything I've tried so far: Bacon breakfast sandwich & Avocado breakfast sandwich: Loved both of these. The breakfast sandwiches come with tomato on them even though the menu description doesn't say so. It was a nice surprise because I love tomato on my breakfast sandwiches. And the eggs are freshly scrambled in butter, yum. Blueberry Crumb Cake Donut: Soooo good. I shared it with my husband and wished I'd bought 2 so I could have my own instead. This is definitely my favorite donut here so far. Vanilla Bean Glazed Donut: No surprises here, it's as tasty as every other vanilla glazed donut ever. Michigan Apple Fritter: Super good. Pistachio-Meyer Lemon Donut: I'd rate this a 4/5. Glaze was a little too sweet for my taste, but not enough to actually stop me from eating it. Now, I hate to say anything bad about a place that I like, but my experiences with the chicken sandwiches haven't been so great. Fried Chicken Sandwich: Not sure how I feel about this one. I bought it a little closer to 1pm, so the oil may not have been as fresh by then. The chicken had a slightly weird taste to it, so I think I'd have to try it again closer to noon. CBR Sandwich: Very tasty, the only problem is that it was still slightly pink when I bit into it. The texture of the chicken seemed fine and it was definitely heated all the way through, so my co-worker and I deemed it "probably safe to eat." So I ate it! I bought it closer to 1pm, so again the chicken had a slightly old oil taste to it, but I only noticed it when I bit into a part of the chicken that had no sauce on it. The sauce did a pretty good job covering that up overall, so it was still a tasty sandwich. I did send a message to management about the chicken through the company web page last week (or the week before, I can't remember) and never heard back. I don't know if they've taken steps to keep these issues from happening again, so I think I'll stick to the breakfast sandwiches and donuts for now. read more

wanted some donuts for breakfast and this was the first spot that popped up and it had amazing reviews! the inside was clean and the furniture/design was very cute. the staff was quick and friendly, even though they had a line to keep up with. i got the maple chai vegan donut and my taste buds were blessed immediately! there were two other vegan options and i wish they had a cinnamon vegan option! either way, still delicious! read more

Do-Rite has very good food. Their donuts and chicken are delicious. Their fries and breakfast sandwiches are tasty as well.

Whoever said these donuts are "just okay" is a liar and is trying to save all the "do-rite goodness" for themselves (I get it- you're clever). However, I want to share the goodness with you good people, so when you come to Do-Rite here is what I recommend: the cheese danish donut (there is a heaven) and iced coffee (summer time). The breakfast sandwiches are SO good and my personal recommendation is to get your breakfast sandwich on a glazed donut. YEP! Worth every. Single. Gram. Of. Sugar. Trust me. You can't go wrong really but my favorite are also: the pistachio and chocolate glazed. Love the fun new flavors they come up with and I keep telling myself to buy a t-shirt when I go in. This is a cool little donut/coffee/chicken shop. The donuts are a bit steep in price compared to chains, but that's to be expected. They are a cake-ier type of donut, and very filling. A half dozen runs you around $15. We came back again this morning and tried their chicken, which is good. We got the CBR, and had it put on a donut which was a nice mix of sweet and savory. Do look out though, they add lettuce/pickles to it which is not listed on their menu. CBR was great regardless! Very nice staff. read more

Great donuts. Best Apple fitter I've ever had. Sandwiches are amazing too. Was getting donuts for work recently and purchased 4 cups of coffee. They had creamer, but no packets for sugar. Tons of the fake stuff. Why would I grab work breakfasts here, if I have to go scrounging around for extra supplies? Come on guys. Be professionals. Hidden gem! Came here on a Saturday afternoon and tried their blueberry donut. I'm not crazy about donuts but omg this one was so fresh and delicious! Apparently they make fresh donuts every hour. Highly recommend! I would go as far as to say that this might be the best donut I've had in Chicago! I want to try their pistachio, old fashioned buttermilk, and one of their sandwiches next time - they all look so delicious! read more

Not my favorite style of donuts but some of the best old-fashion and cream-pie donuts you will find. Skip the pistachio lemon-meyer and the cinnamon, and go for the cheese danish and the candied maple bacon. Only thing is a consistency issue which happens when places expand. According to my friend they don't always taste great, and even in the half-dozen I got, some were a bit doughy (under-baked). Still donuts are great, frosting/icing/cream is tasty, price is right, and line moves fast. Plus their fried chicken sandwich is really good too! Chicken fried to perfection and very tasty. This place is amazing!!!! We had the donut and chicken sandwich and omg was it out of this world!! I would definitely recommend trying that! It just works together! If you want a big selection of donuts I would recommend going earlier in the day because the later you go there is much less of a selection. read more

Do rite has quickly became one of my favorite places but after today I will no longer be visiting there because of there petty nature this donuts are good and expensive all I asked for is a container for the donuts that I purchased which I have received numerous of times but today I was told there is no such thing I found this to be petty and believe is was because of my skin complexion do no more of my dollars to this place. read more

I love this new Do-Rite location! I've always loved the Erie store but it's not close to my apartment. Most weekends my husband and I drove over there anyways, but now it's nice to have an even better one close to home. The interior is beautiful and there's tons of comfy chairs and tables. The doughnuts and chicken sandwiches are delicious as usual, but this location has chicken fingers as well. I tried these out for lunch the other day and they did not disappoint. They come in a nice box and they're super crispy and flavorful. They also come with a piece of thick buttered and toasted bread, which I don't really need when downing fried chicken, but I'm not going to complain. I got the ranch dipping sauce, and it was fresh and amazing. This location is also open late night, which is fantastic for the after-bar munchies. read more

I love Do-Rite. And West Loop finally has a proper pick-me-up dessert spot. I was so excited to go try it out and wasn't disappointed. I stuck with an old-fashioned chocolate glaze and had a coffee to-go. Normally, the north side location always runs out of donuts, but this place was fully stocked. Hopefully that continues! These donuts are awesome. I bring these in to work all the time, and the consistent favorites are the lemon pistachio (literally described as "a little slice of heaven") and the blueberry crumble. Best part - they have vegan AND gluten free donuts. The gluten free is good (though have been a little dry a couple times) - favorite of those is the cinnamon sugar. read more

Amazing donuts but do NOT order delivery. We ordered ahead for a scheduled delivery. We were charged $10(!) for a delivery fee and put a tip on the bill before our order was delivered. We had people coming over for breakfast and had ordered a bunch of hot sandwiches with our donuts. The order arrived over an hour early! The delivery guy just said "yeah sorry it's really early" and left. Everything was stale and soggy when our guests arrived. I contact management and they ignored me. Really poor service. read more

I ordered an breakfast sandwich with fries. All of the sandwiches ingredients are list except for a slice of tomato (?). This caused me to not only waste my money but sent me to the emergency room for a serious allergic reaction while being pregnant in my first trimester. I had to be rushed out of work in an ambulance, had used my precious allowed sick time and NOW have a co payment due because the hospital is not within my insurances network!! Do-Rite is not just another options for donuts in Chicago. If their name was not already a dead giveaway, they do not just offer donuts. Along with their vast array of donut options, they also offer sandwiches, chicken tenders and sides (i.e. fries and cole slaw). For my most recent visit, I stuck with the donuts and went with the blueberry crumblecake and red velvet donuts. Both were surprisingly moist and not overwhelmingly sweet, but beware as it can get a bit messy to eat with all the crumbs; come prepared with napkins. The blueberry crumblecake was my favorite because of the refreshing blueberry filling and crumbly-crunchy texture. In regards to the actual establishment, there is plenty of seating and outlets for everyone, so it would be a nice spot to work/study if you want to switch it up from a coffee shop or library. For next time, I have my eyes on the raspberry bullseye and The Sweet Heat (that aioli though...). read more

love this place!! although i love donuts and they do have amazing donuts, i must say that i really come here for their breakfast sandwiches! they are pretty inexpensive and filling. i usually order the chicken sausage breakfast sandwich or the avocado breakfast sandwich. since i do not consume red meat or pork, it is refreshing that an establishment offers chicken sausage on their breakfast sandwiches! this place has my heart. as far as their donuts go, i've tried the pretty basic ones. their old fashioned, vanilla bean glaze, chocolate glaze, and chocolate old fashioned are great. their donuts are fresh and full of flavor. i've been here a number of times and the service has always been great. do rite does me right every time. read more

The donuts are great... but what good are they if they're always out of the ones you want. They NEVER bake enough and don't bake more if you ask for them. Eh... I went here for lunch today. After wandering around West Loop for awhile looking for a bite to eat, this seemed promising. I wasn't particularly impressed. I got a chicken tenders combo and a hazelnut iced coffee. The chicken tenders were good, but the coffee was awful! For some reason it tasted sour. I couldn't finish it. So I guess this place is good if you just want some chicken, but you might want to get your coffee at Dunkin' or something. read more
