(G)o or no go - go! Stopped by intending to j grab a coffee but stayed for a whole breakfast (W)ow factor - The grocery is full of little gift cards, cute eclectic stationary, and whimsical cakes. It's adorable and wholesome. (A)ge - Most people just drop by for a coffee before work, so it's pretty young corporate. (M)enu - The chopped salad and matzo ball soup were super filling and healthy. The lavendar latte was like a drop from flower heaven and the barista who made it had A+ energy! Shout out to her

Delicious caramel latte, definitely on the sweeter side! Though, since I was dining in, I wish they served it in a mug. As for food, my goat cheese danish was incredible. Roommate said the goddess breakfast wrap was very mid, lacked flavor. Very cute storefront with lots of premade food for purchase and other grocery and knickknack items. Service was fine!

There's a Goddess and Grocer near my workplace but I've never been, so I wanted to stop in and see what they're about when I was in the West Loop. They have a lot of specialty food items--crackers, wines, sodas, craft alcohol, you name it. You can get some nice crackers, nuts, and spreads for your charcuterie board here (I saw some quince paste and I bet they had some fig jam here). There were even some packages of salami and other meats. However, their cheese selection was either small or nonexistent, so I'd probably get the meat and cheese elsewhere (though cheese shops are shockingly few in Chicago now). They have a pastry case that has some delicious cakes, cupcakes, and so on. I got a cinnamon apple bundt cake to share and it was really fantastic. They had cake slices in another case, and some decorated cookies on display as well. I think they must sell lunch foods here because there were several tables inside the shop as well and tables set up outside at which customers could dine. It's a good shop for specialty items if you need them and are around. You'll pay a premium, but it's small and you can get in and out within 5 minutes so that definitely has value.

Stopped in for a slice of cake and explored the store while I was there. They have a few cute items up front and offer a pretty good selection of items. I specifically enjoyed their little selection of charcuterie goods! This spot has a salad bar too. The slice of rainbow cake that I got was pretty good - you can buy a whole cake of it too! If I need a sweet treat or quick bite next time, i'll stop by!

Stopped by here after having lunch nearby. I didn't realize it's like a mini grocery shop inside. I only wanted a caffeinated drink, so I ordered the iced lavender chai, and it was DELICIOUS! I plan to go back and try some of their other drinks and goodies.

I came here on a weekend to grab a bite with friends. This location has a variety of options for drinks, snacks, food (hot/cold) etc. They have minimal seating inside and in the patio. Customer service: friendly and quick Wicker Park ($11.95): fresh mozarella, artichokes, olives, tomatoes, pesto mayo, spinach all inside a Tuscan roll. The ingredients blended together well and was good. The sandwich is a decent size. I'd be back if I was in the area.

    Current tasty drinks!

Calling all West Loop dog owners!!! What a convenient way to take care of your caffeine fix for your power pup walk! Walk up window caters to dogs first and humans second! I love this so much as I love to take my dog on walks and errands. Can't tell you how much this is appreciated!

I enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Goddess and the Grocer, discovering it to be an incredibly cozy and charming spot. The menu has a diverse range of items that cater to all palates. Whether you're a fan of hearty sandwiches, fresh salads, or indulgent desserts, Goddess and Grocer has something to satisfy every craving. I got the Iced Chai Latte with oat milk and the Goddess breakfast wrap with sausage, scrambled eggs, spinach, feta, avocado, spinach wrap, and salsa. It was very delicious! The staff at Goddess and Grocer are incredibly friendly and attentive, contributing to the overall positive experience. The only minor drawback is the limited seating for those who prefer to dine in. However, I managed to find a comfortable spot without much difficulty.

Such a cute spot with both indoor and outdoor seating . There's a food bar and menu to order off of ... and groceries ! Staff is amazing

I only come here for one thing, the Panko crusted buffalo chicken wrap!!! It is delicious! Great deal for a work week lunch. They are always fast and fresh when we order via DoorDash.

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.

Considering Alinea is 2 stars and similarly priced, I felt like a few things were lacking. The first issue? I left very hungry. The whole meal lacks any actual meat except two pieces of bird, which are small. The other dishes were primarily seafood or vegetables. I left at 70% capacity of fullness. Regarding the actual food, the quality was solid and the ingredients were excellent. The caviar was delicious, although the design of the small bowl and big bowl made it very annoying if any of your caviar came out you'd have to lift the small bowl out to scrape it. The next seafood platter had fresh shrimp and the toast was excellent with the sour cream. Tasted like a potato chip! The spring roll was unique and required you to roll it up. It's small but packs a good punch. The cabbage with Wagyu barely had any meat, so it was just a bite. The soup was very delicious and hot in temperature. The mackerel is small but fresh. Very good soup. The pancake dish was very unique and enjoyable with the pork. My favorite was the crumb dish with mushrooms. The crumbs were delicious. There were a few small oysters in it. If there were a few chicken bites it would have been perfect. The ending bird dish was tiny. I expected the whole bird to be cooked and many more pieces, but it included two bites and one leg with mushrooms. I thought one or two additional protein dishes were needed. I was at 60% full at that point and it went straight to desserts. The croissant with truffle was delicious with honey. Could have eaten 6 of those. The banana pudding really felt like delicious street food. The frozen shaved ice was delicious with the chocolate underneath. The white chocolate dessert and cracker were light with guava. It felt like the meal heavily overindexed on dessert and not actual entrees. Overall, for 1 star and $200 range I would have given this 9.5/10. But for 2 stars and $325, with a comparison with Alinea and other 2 star restaurants I've been to, this fell short. Increase the food portions and decease the dessert volume. The staff are highly attentive and well trained. Dinner took 2.5 hours.

Let me tell you, it was all I hoped it could be and more. The storefront was pretty small with a few tables- between the size, hours, and popularity (they were only open a few days a week and closed at 2pm), I suspected that the shop sold out often. I went on a weekday and there was still a good selection of pastries left around 11am. The staff was super nice and helpful as I struggled to make a decision. They shared that the strawberry milk croissant was their bestseller, so I opted for that. It was filled with fresh strawberry mascarpone and fresh strawberry puree. Despite the croissant's decadent appearance, it was not at all too sweet. I'm not typically the biggest croissant fan (I know, I know, no one is perfect) but this pastry blew me away. The filling was super generous without overpowering the delicate dough, which was baked to crispy perfection. Sadly, I don't get to the area often, but I will 100% be back asap to try more of the menu. Run- don't walk to pay a visit!
