This is a hole in the wall restaurant. We ordered a Spicy AF with fries and Cheesesteak Mafia. The burger patty was so well seasoned and wasn't overpowering with spiciness of jalapeño and pepper jack cheese. One of the best burger in STL. We plan on going back to try other burgers. The old location was great, however my family and I appreciate that the new location is closer to our home! The new location doesn't have the same charm but the new location is perfect for them. From turkey burgers to other more elaborate toppings on burgers, Do Shaggy's is great and I'm pretty sure my kids like it better than Hi-Pointe. read more

90s grunge is alive and well at Do Shaggys. From the decor to Alanis Morissette belting it out on the speakers, they do a great job at creating the atmosphere. Unfortunately missing is my 90s metabolism and size 2 waist. Fear not, I ate for the sake of Yelp exploration! It was just my little one and I. His monster appetite had him polishing off the Kid Cheeseburger box. I sampled a few of his fries and they were delicious! Perfect crunch and level of salt. I had the Cheesesteak Mafia but with chicken in a fake attempt at being healthy. It was massive and messy and delicious! The garlic bread was slightly over powering but my husband still kissed me afterwards so not totally pungent. As a side I had the onion rings. They were most likely one of my top 10 onion rings. DO Shaggy's is doing some tasty smash burgers in St. Peter's. I ordered the Double Shaggy Original (Double American Cheese, Grilled Onions , Pickles , and Shaggy Sauce!!) and French Fries. I asked what the "Shaggy Sauce" is when I ordered. I was told BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and mayo? In any event this was a very good burger despite the sauce that didn't have much flavor. The patties were on the thicker side of smash burger with nice crisp lacy edges, there was plenty of pickle, and even the sweetness of the grilled onions was spot on. The bun to meat ratio was great and the fries were crisp and adequately salted. There's Heinz ketchup on the table and they serve you in a paper lined metal tray. The drinks are bottled. I'd probably opt for ketchup instead of the sauce next time but I'll be back! read more

Unassuming little spot with big time goodness hidden inside. Owner is super nice and was very welcoming. We got a Frisco Melt and the Shaggy special burger. Both big on flavor. Onion rings were on point. Portions were good and pricing was an amazing value for what you get. Will definitely be back to try other menu items. read more

Noticed this new burger joint and thought I'd give it a go! I ordered the Flippin frisco and a side of fries. The burger was amazing and I would absolutely order it again, but I was disappointed in how bland the fries were. I order this to go, and was a little surprised when the total came out to $20 (before tip) After placing the order, my food was ready for 15 minutes before estimated which was a plus since I live close. Found this newer burger joint in the area and thought we'd better check it out, as the Yelp reviews were all pretty good! It's a smallish spot in a strip plaza just off Mexico Road. It is off the beaten path, so it's probably easily overlooked. The decor is skate-themed and the atmosphere is low-key. The menu is pretty simple and straightforward. I think that's often a good sign that they do something well and they focus on that. I ordered the OG burger with a substitute of pepper Jack cheese instead of American. The burger contains two large smashed patties with crispy edges and lots of flavor. Onions, pickles and sauce round it out nicely. It was a substantial, greasy, delicious sandwich. I had to use several napkins to clean my hands after! I ordered the onion rings as my side and they were pretty good. They came with a side of their special sauce -and I love sauce, but I felt like it could use a bit more kick. My husband ordered the Big Dipper and it wasn't quite what he expected. I assume it is a French dip sandwich but it appeared to be more like loose, small pieces of beef, held together with cheese. I think he liked it okay but wouldn't order it again. If you're craving one you've certainly got some choices. This place would not be a bad one. The menu is not large. Let's call it 'curated'. The pre-built options are solid, but you can build your own if you'd like. You'll have a good selection of options. If you're not in the mood for a burger, they've got a couple or three other choices for you. Are the fries boardwalk style or just batonnet cut? I'm not entirely sure. I'll have to eat some more of them to figure it out. They're tasty, I can tell you that. The service is fast and friendly. The tables, chairs and corrugated metal wall remind me of something I'd expect to find at a BBQ joint. The rest of the place is skateboard themed. I think it's time to change the oil. The fries were dark and soggy but they had potential. Maybe I got a refried batch. Won't finish them. The Burger meat was thin but seemed good quality. The avacado was not ripe yet. That's a bummer since I paid extra for it. The bun maybe for you but they use a lot, a lot of butter to get that bun like that. I get it Butter makes everything better, but for health reasons this is def a triple threat. Not something I would order often and it would only be the burger. Overall I'm fed and I don't feel bad. Check them out!!!!! After seeing lots of reviews and recommendations decided to try yesterday. It did not disappoint and i'm fairly picky on food. The food was delicious and absolutely worth it. I will be going back and trying more things on the menu. I got a single burger, fries, and strawberry shake. ALL were amazing and 5 stars for me!!! The fries are sooo good and I think it's because of the oil they use. shake was worth it and I was very full. I did take out but the inside is clean and comfortable I would dine in! read more
