Based on just my one visit, I wouldn't eat inside again and would try the pizza. The interior is pretty basic with Formica tables and banquet chairs. It reminded me of the VFW. The service was very good. I ordered the buffalo wings, which were fine, but nothing special and the Italian side salad. The salad was large portion and was good. I don't know if this is the same family that had the Saullo's meat market my family shopped at when I was a kid, so I thought this would be better than it was. My friend ordered the fried fish with fried okra and she said it tasted like freezer burn. I think we just both ordered wrong. We'll try take-out pizza next time and see what happens. read more

Quick bite for some awesome pizza and salad! This is a great place for a couple or a group with booths and tables for two or for many! Our waitress was quick and efficient. Located in a strip mall and having unusual operating hours I decided to it was time to go back to a long but not forgotten favorite. The restaurant is decent size and it's clean with a welcoming helpful staff. They have a nice menu plus lunch specials and daily specials too.Salad was fresh and crisp and the house dressing was delicious, the star of the meal was the fantastic pizza! The crust is almost paper thin and able to hold up to the sauce and toppings, sauce is one of the best I've had in a while which make the pizza that much better plus they are very generous with the toppings. I stopped by Saullo's Pizza on a weeknight with a dinner date. We ordered the toasted ravioli and a pepperoni pizza. We both agreed everything was good but not the best ever. Surprisingly it was very busy but we were seated right away. The booth we sat in was extremely worn down but I didn't mind it. We ordered garlic cheese bread and bacon pizza. Both tasted alright. The pizza sauce was a little bland and needed spices to make it more flavorful. The crust was slightly undercooked and had no taste. I probably wouldn't recommend this place to others since there are probably better pizza places in the area. The customer service was top notch and made sure we were taken care of. read more

It's concerning that a restaurant does not respond to reviews. it's their livelihood. Being that I grew up in the Noco, I love all the Italian family's pizza such as Arcobasso's, Domenico's etc. My team from work used to go to Saullos 25 plus years ago. I am disappointed in so many ways. Not a scratch kitchen except the pizza salad etc.... The food is old north county wedding reception food quality. The cheese and toppings are very sparce. The owner has her grandson she raises who needs some love (allegedly spectrum) and needs special attention however she raises him so spends his nights at the restaurant. Go support this grandmother and buy pizza and salad because it may be the only thing scratch on the menu. great staff read more

Tuesdays were our family dinner day in front of the TV watching Rosanna. We had to have Saullo's pizza or the night was not the same. The love you pour into you pizza, the cheese, the sauce, the dough, the pepperoni and the flour all over the dough and the box is UNFORGETTABLE. However, not only was your pizza AMAZING, it was how you, your team and your pizza's didn't just bring UNMEASURABLE satisfactions to our tasted buds. It brought my family together over 30 years every Tuesday and created a story a share with my kids today. Thanks for being one of the the best parts of my life growing up. I've moved away a long time ago and my children haven't had the pleasure of going to Saullo's. I'm going to make that a goal on my bucket list. This restaurant was very casual, and the service was fast and friendly. My son and I shared our first ever St Louis style pizza. We loved the thin crust and gooey cheese. I love St. Louis style thin crust pizza and it's almost like chocolate and icecream....its hard to find a bad one. Saullos has OK thin crust pizza. If there is something to do to improve it....its having a crisper crust. Our pizza tonight was doughy in the middle....seemingly undercooked for my preference. We came here wanting to like it. The most memorable part of this visit, was how truly horrendous the service is. We came in around 8pm, well past the Friday evening rush here. Only 5 or six tables had patrons. 6 to 8 tables were dirty waiting to be bussed. The sign said to wait to be seated. After a few minutes waiting, a couple leaving said no one is ever seated by the staff, take an empty table. We started searching for a clean table. One lady said she'd clean off some tables and disappeared. The only person apparently acting as a waitress, wondered around, avoiding all eye contact. She started wrapping utensils in napkins and eating at a table, Eventually she came over and took a drink order and our pizza salad order. She was less than pleasant. Actually, expressionless. Our pizza and salad was served in reasonable, time, but then she again avoided all eye contact. She commenced eating herself. Eventually a cook came to our table. She was very pleasant, nice, and got us a pizz box for leftovers and said she would get out bill from the dining waitress. The cooks should be the waitress. Much nicer. I have been a consistent customer of Saullo's since 2018. It is a family business that takes pride in its reputation. They want to please the customer and make it right. We love dining in when we can but mostly order pizza to go. While I enjoy the St Louis style pizza, my Family prefers mozzarella with traditional toppings. Service was less than stellar. When we arrived, the sign said "Please wait to be seated." We waited for over 5 minutes, no one even acknowledged that we were there...we finally sat ourselves, but had a hard time finding a table that did not still have crumbs all over it. After seating, we waited another 5+ for someone to bring menus. The salad was nothing special. I removed hard boiled egg from the salad because it was brown! The pizza was ok...not very crispy--seemed like it should have been baked a few minutes longer. Waitress was inattentive. At the end of our meal, a pleasant woman from the back (who I assume was a cook) was the one who asked if we needed anything else. SHE got a box for us, and SHE brought our check to us. We ordered a "Take out" large cheese pizza/half pepperoni. My husband said he couldn't tell which was thinner; the crust or pepperoni. We don't live far away, and by time we got home the pizza was cold. The pizza was overpriced for the quality. The crust was VERY thin, with various shades of gray on the edges. The cheese was supposed to be mozzarella, but it was very compacted down. The pizza tasted horrible and was very salty!! Besides that, there is a 3.5% extra charge if you run a debit OR credit card. We definitely won't recommend this place to others, nor do we plan on ever going there again. read more

I never thought a small strip mall Italian bistro would have such great food and great service. I was greeted and sat in less than a minute I later found out the name of my server was Crystal. I was given recommendations for what to eat. My coffee and water never went below half full and always filled with a smile. I am Italian and I know sauce and boy this spaghetti sauce was amazing. You can tell the chops of a cook by how he or she's sauce tastes. This was a great experience. I cannot wait to go back to try other items on the menu. It seemed like everybody was getting the lunch pizza special I think that's my next lunch when I get there. Crystal was amazing I think she came from another restaurant "Burkempers". We used to live this place, the ambience was lacking but the food was really good. Well, now the food is disgusting and the professionalism of the staff is bad. Runny soggy pasta. Taste like it had just been microwaved. Not much of a greeting from the staff. I felt like we interrupted them because they had to seat and serve us. If your decor is ancient and doesn't have much warmth to it, you might be able to get by if the food is absolutely amazing. Amazing!!! We love family owned business's but this pizza Top's our experiences. Their sauce is homemade by mama Saullo and their house dressings including their ranch and vinaigrette which is super tasty! Much to our surprise, Mama Saullo makes it daily. Their tomato sauce is also Very good, you wanna drink the extra bowl...that I asked for... Their Baked ravioli is delicious although I had to ask for more sauce which wasn't a problem. Their sauce have I mentioned how delicious their sauce is?? On Sundays we get pizza, and though we tried their baked ravioli this time, we still got their pizza. We decided to add on chocolate pie and their chocolate cake. First of all, their key lime pie and also their chocolate pie is so yummy, make sure you leave room it. We also tried their counterpoint cake, I'd would like to steer you back to their pie.... again, Delicious!!! Their cake was a tad dry but I'm sure it isn't dry when it's delivered fresh.
