Two sliders, one hot, one mild
    Jon T.

I spotted the waving flags for Epic on Manchester a few days ago and decided I needed to try some hot chicken. I took Ms T for lunch and we had a good experience. The restaurant is clean and bright. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We decided to split a basket of two Hot Chicken Sliders with a side of fries. I was a little concerned the term "slider" would mean "small", but these sandwiches were more than enough for us. We definitely did not go away hungry. The benefit of it being a "slider" is that the bun is not a giant, oversized pile of bread. I cannot imagine eating two of these at a sitting. She ordered mild and [surprise-surprise] it was a little too hot for her. I ordered Hot and it was plenty hot but very good. I must admit I will not be trying Epic Blazed. It would be beyond fun, but I will re-order the Hot. We both wished for a bit more salt in the seasoning, but at the same time enjoyed it a lot. I liked the slaw on the sandwich and can see getting Tenders with a side of slaw when I don't want a slider bun. I also like the fact that they offer Smashburgers. Their fries are crinkle cut "50-caliber" size and as such, may be a little hard to fry. We liked the seasoning on them, but they were slightly underdone. Not bad, I ate every one of them, but they were just a little underdone. Epic Hot have checked all the trend boxes with Hot Chicken, Smashburgers and Kale Slaw! And of course they offer wings. This place is very close to home and I am pleased that Ms T would return. I am glad to have them in the neighborhood.

#2 - chicken sliders with fries

Dropped in on a Wednesday afternoon. Ordered the chicken sliders with fries. The fries were pretty good, not overly seasoned or salted but not bland. The sliders were good but not great. The chicken itself was solid, and the heat (medium) was significant but not overpowering. My biggest disappointment was finding the wet sauces are not available for sliders. There are a couple that sounded really interesting, but even on request was not offered for sliders. Overall a decent choice, but not a "can't miss" option.

It's Epic so you need to check it out! 1st the meat is 100% Zabiha. There is no guessing if it is hand slaughtered..it is!! The owners use to own Salaam Market a few businesses up from this restaurant year ago. it's great to see them back bring great halal food! 5/5 juicy hot and fresh chicken

Absolutely delicious! A slider is the size of a whole sandwich. Super friendly and great flavor! Cannot recommend enough!

Cocktails for the night featured a classic old fashion, not the one on the menu. Really well executed with Knob Creek rye. Also had a special Paloma which was tasty and perfect for a summer evening. Dinner included: - Cuban with fries. The missed orders this and she called it one of the best in town. 4.25 - small barbecue salad with pulled pork. This dish, priced at something like $8, is a nice "lightish" meal. Ordered fries because I can't help myself. Salad and fries: 4.25 each.

This restaurant is easy to get too, has adequate parking and the restaurant itself is casual and inviting. The staff welcomed us and were very friendly and attentive. Our young waiter was especially helpful with the menu. The food came quickly and was good. Unfortunately, not great. My wife and I both got the trio of meats, brisket, pulled pork and chicken. All were cooked well but under smoked for my liking. The sides we tried were all fresh but again, just good not great. We will try Gastropit again but honestly have had better tasting barbecue at nearby competitors. I know it is relatively new to the scene so overall, it was a good experience!

We got their pizza (w/ hamburger bc that's all my husband wants, lol) and then ordered a huge chef salad with delicious blue cheese dressing, and buffalo chicken sandwiches. All food was out quickly, correct, and delicious. We also ordered another pizza to go. They have a lot of steak on the menu and other entrees but we didn't want to eat a huge meal later at night after just arriving on a flight but, this is a great spot for dinner and the vibes inside are really cool. We sat beside a brick fireplace at a large round table and it was decorated with some books and interesting items. My toddler (almost 2) is super excited to be on the move and never wants to sit still so, after stuffing herself with their delicious St. Louis-style pizza, she wanted to run around. Fortunately, the room off the bar by the entrance was empty as they were prepping to close, so she ran around in there happily for about 10 minutes while my husband and stepson finished up their meal. Staff were all very friendly and interacted with her. We had a good time.
