Doc and Eddys is a great dive/pool hall. Haven't really tried the food but I heard the wings are great! The Bartenders are awesome - Tip really well. It has a slew of video games like big buck hunter, golden tee live etc, also has a ping pong table and a bunch of pool tables. It can get pretty busy on the weekends, with a whole variety of different types of people. A ton of TV's great to watch sports at! If you go on a week night you can usually get seats in front of the big tv. Its a good place to go if you just want to have a chill night. Prices are fair. read more

I come for the twice cooked BBQ bourbon jalapeno wings. They are soooo good! You gotta get them extra burnt on the grill, YUM. Free pool on Sundays, which is awesome. They do trivia on Thursdays, which is great if you have a large group of people. read more

Enjoyed this out-of-the-way place on a Sunday evening. Lots of TVs for watching your favorite games. Friendly environment with good beer prices and good wings. My friend and I are not heavy drinkers; one will do just fine but we like something fruity and not too strong so I asked our waitress what she recommends. She recommended a drink we never drank before which was called Liquid Marijuana. So we ordered and tried it, and it was still way too strong. We called her over and told her it was too intense for us. She gave us the kind of look that said 'Well what are you guys doing in here?' I didn't really appreciate that. I asked her if there was something else we can try. Instead she said she'll ask the bartender if he can make something else out of it. Okay, why not right? When she brought them back, the first few sips was alright, but the more we kept drinking them, it was still very strong. She finally brought our cups of water we ordered when we first ordered Liquid Marijuana's. We drowned our drinks with the water and it was a lot better. We only wanted to try something new and got a weird look because of it. We expected a lot more help when choosing a drink to try. And maybe she was trying to be helpful, but it's hard to tell when she only gave us a name of 'one' drink. It would have been extremely helpful if she gave us more choices, tell us how they taste and the amount of alcohol that's in them. But I'm sure if I were to ask, she would have kept giving us that same look. Thumbs down. read more

Probably my favorite dive bar in Tempe. I've been frequenting Doc & Eddy's now for probably 12 years, and it's just as charmingly dark and tired today as it was when I first started going. I went there on a Saturday night, the place was dead, and the wait staff was terrible. Within a few seconds of squeezing past the guy checking ID's the waitress was calling me a fire hazard. When I asked if she was talking to me she said no, but when I looked back she still was. I then confronted her again and asked for a manager. A kid behind the bar said "that's me" . . I knew it was over right there. I was not about to hang around for the spit filled beer or what ever else they do when you upset the staff. So I called it a night. Literally my favorite bar ever. The bartenders treat us like friends and remember our orders and the food is good! Their tacos (served on Monday's and Friday's) are soooo amazing. Their grilled wings are fantastic and their ranch is to die for. They also have really good salads and burgers and fries. I love the atmosphere and always feel comfortable here. If I could give zero stars I would. A server came by and told me to put my pitcher down and that I wasn't allowed to drink front it. I said ok then I need a glass and I was told to go get one at the bar. When I raised the issue at the bar, I was greeted again with defense Instead of a glass. This place sucks. read more

Try as I might I cannot give this place a thumbs-up. I've likely been in D&E 30 times over the last 10 years, always wanting to 'give them another chance'. They are close-by and the food is above average. But the service ALWAYS sucks. I seriously wonder if the servers are TRAINED to ignore customers. I'm slightly confused on why everyone thinks this place is so great. On a football Sunday they had ONE server on. I sat at my table for about 20 mins waiting for someone to come by. After everyone around me telling me just to go to the bar, I finally see a server and tell her my order. Ten more mins go by and she brings out food, that's cool, hot food first. Another 10 mins goes by and she brings out my fiends Coke. I still have yet to get my beer from her. I went to the bar myself and got a beer and she still hadn't come by. Finally after I'm about half done with my beer from the bar and have waited a total of a half hour (not including the 20 before I found her) she shows up with my beer. The wrong one but hey she made it finally. I didn't even attempt to order food because I thought I'd never see it. Get it together and put on a few more staff members. If I wasn't their for a birthday I would have never sat around that long. I will never be back. read more

I've got to say that this place is totally mediocre-ville. It's okay in every since of the word. Nothing stands out, it's usually a sausage fest when I go there (yuck) and if you're a tool, you take center stage here. My friends have told me a lot of good things about this place, but honestly, I just don't see why. I do like the patio, but that's about it. I actually like the patio at my house better. I am one for ordering layered beers, and as a former bartender, it irritates me when a bartender can't do it. It's your job! At least try to be good at it! Well the black velvet I ordered here seemed to really piss off the bartender because he had to go look for his layering spoon and OMG layer the beer. He was a dousche. He told me that I had to order at least two of them because the pear cider they used came in a bottle. I went to this bar last night expecting a place to chill and enjoy an ice cold beer. I waited for over 10 minutes to have an employee speak to us. It took over 5 minutes to get a beer after being helped. Nachos we ordered were cold. The place was understaffed and the employees were not friendly with exception of the expediter which is why I gave this place an extra star. I highly recommend another place for anyone wanting an ice cold beer. read more

This is one if my favorite places to come, they have a great happy hour, even when it's not happy hour the drinks are very reasonable. The staff is friendly. This is a great place to gather with your friends to hangout and catch a few games on one of their many tvs. If a game isn't on you want to watch they're more than willing to put it on a tv for you unlike many other places. read more
