Really enjoyed the atmosphere at Doc Greens. The restaurant is very busy, but that says a lot on quality of food! Great for dieting or an alternative to fried foods! The entry way is slightly congested if you arrive during lunchtime but is quickly digested with the amazing staff. Also, there's a smoothie bar if you crave a nice well made smoothie! Checkout was simple and there's ample seating. I ordered a California chicken panini, Parmesan crusted mushrooms, tropical smoothie and an Açaí fruit bowl. I paid $28 dollars for all 3 items. Great option for a quick salad. -Ordered the Asian Sesame salad, substituted the romaine for spinach and kale, added feta and salmon. -Fairly quick. Doc Green's is my favorite place to grab a quick and light lunch or dinner. I come here WAY too often. Not gonna lie, I'm addicted. This place is perfect for whatever you're craving because there are so many different options to choose from. The ingredients are always fresh and the food is consistently delicious. I typically go with the make your own salad/wrap option, but I eat here often with friends who love the paninis. You can either pick from their menu of signature items or create your own by choosing what type of wrap you want (regular, spinach, or wheat), your salad greens (kale, spinach, mixed greens, romaine), and 5 toppings. They have a large selection of dressings and sides which are really good, my favorite being the sweet potato tots. They also have Bracai which makes wonderful acai bowls and smoothies. They use fresh fruit and don't add sugar like other smoothie places. You can add protein to your smoothie and add toppings to your smoothie bowl as well. read more

I have loved, loved, loved the Dr. Detroit for years - it is favoritesalad to get on the go! My fav little champ loves to get a side of their steak + Honest Kids, in fact a lot of my cousins love it too each family member has their own fav salad, something for everyone even our fav little carnivore with his side of steak LOL. They also have a great variety of Coca-Cola products, yummy drinks on the fountain annnd healthy drinks like honest kids, VitaminWater and more in the cooler. It's awesome. read more

I really hate to leave a bad review because my employer often uses Doc Green for catering and I truly enjoy their food. But today thr store was just dirty today and really threw off my impression of the store. The glass window over the food bar was visibly dirty and trash was on the floor. Now the food was good and the chef did a really good job helping me find my perfect dish. He was enthusiastic and helpful! The cashier was stoic and didn't show much emotion. She didn't seem interested in being there and that was clear because like I said the store was dirty. I was hoping to email the owner directly to prevent the unfavorable review but no email address or customer service concern form on the website. Ok! This is one of those reviews where I wish there was an option for half a star. Part of the reason I am giving this place a 3 as opposed to a 2 is that I did not go to this location. With that being said let me break it down for you. First, a friend was going and asked me if I wanted anything (I paid, of course, will get to that in a little), and I said yes. Went online to their website and found their menu. I was advised by my friend that the pre-made salads are not packed with the same amount of toppings as the build your own salad. Now, I cannot say if that is a fact, or not, because after eating the build your own salad, meaning, you tell them what you want and the people in the back, (I am assuming the back, again, was not there), make it and pack it for you, I found myself asking, what toppings? It was like they just decided to throw a little, and I mean a little here, and a little there. So I found myself asking, where are the toppings? If I got sliced almonds, broccoli, black bean corn salsa, tomatoes, and banana peppers, why can I literally count on one hand the amount of each topping? Now I admit, the size of the salad was big, and it did fill me up, well, the chicken did, and if they had put the same amount of toppings as they had with the sliced chicken tenders or protein as they refer to it, we would not have had a problem, and at $10 each, (that's including tax), I have no problem telling you I would have expected to get more toppings, but there is more. Going back to me checking the menu online, I went to the official website for this location. I could not find the toppings list. I looked up, down, left, right, searched and searched, could not find it. So me having never been here before, I call the location. To start off, going back to a half a star review I wish I could submit, the attitude of the girl at the front is part of the reason. I call, she picks up the phone, (I do not even think she gave her name), and quickly says thank you for calling.... I tell her I am online looking at the menu trying to find the toppings, but can't, can she tell me them? She responds by saying you need to go to the website for this location and view that menu, to which I tell her that is the one I am on. That is then when she proceeds to fail at customer service and tells me that, "we are busy, I can't stop to get a menu and read you all of the toppings right now." Okay, cool, you are still going to get my money because my friend is already headed up there but only this one time and never again. I say oh, okay, sorry you can't help me, and hang up. I do another search online, nothing. I collect my thoughts and just say forget it, going to call up there and ask for a manager who can assist me. So I call back, same girl answers and I ask her if I could speak with a manager. Evidently, you are not that busy if you can take a moment to talk to me then. She responds and says sir, I apologize but we are very busy, is there something I can help you with? I tell her I understand they are busy, but I just called up here and you said you could not help me, so maybe your manager can? Again she says, I can help you sir. Okay, now we are getting somewhere. I break it down for her. I have never been there before. My friend is headed up there. She told me to look up the menu for the build your own salad, but after looking online I could not find it and I was wondering if you can tell me where to look online or tell me the toppings. She then proceeded to tell me everything from the protein which they have listed as step one to step five. I stopped her halfway through step one and said ma'am, thank you, but I just need to know what toppings you guys have. That is the only reason I am calling. She then proceeds to tell me, not ask, tells me, to hold on as she goes and gets a menu. While still searching online I came across grubhub that had some, not all, of their toppings and just decided to use the information listed on there, regrettably, to decide what toppings I wanted, and hung up after almost 2 minutes of her not picking back up the phone. Part of the reason for the half a star is the fact that she at least started giving me part of what I was wanting to know over the phone and made an effort, or at least said she did, of going to get the menu to read me the toppings. Honestly I know it is a lot to ask, but for you to say to me basically that you cannot help me because you are busy and essentially wait for me to hang up and then act like you have some sense after I ask for a manager, that to me is just bad customer service. There was one more thing since I have already written a small essay, for their salads to be as big as they are they could at least think to give people more dressing, or at least, I don't know, actually have blue cheese chunks in your thick blue cheese dressing. Definitely not a fan and will not be ordering from them again. read more

I snagged a small cup of "cheesy chicken tortilla soup" on the side and it's really the only reason I dropped the rating down a star - it was boring and had no cheese, nor any tortilla crunchies on top. But really, how can you title it CHEESY chicken TORTILLA soup but be missing two of the ingredients?? First time ever dining at a Doc Green's. I enjoyed the asian sesame salad and add grilled chicken and craisins. Make sure to add the craisins it makes such a difference! The dressing was so tasty. I will definitely go back again and try a different salad. I also enjoyed the chicken. Sometimes chicken on salads can be weird but it was good there. The only thing that I didn't really like is first reaction walking in, you get a huge whiff of plumbing or sewage smell. I tried finding somewhere to sit where i couldn't smell it but it was throughout the whole place. When I walked into the restroom it had the same smell, but stronger. So I know it's coming from the restroom pipes or something. It made me not want to eat there but I decided to give it a chance. Still good food though! Maybe Togo next time! I went there for a Greek salad. The gentleman behind the counter asked me twice if I wanted to add chicken. I said no both times because I'm a vegetarian. I once had food from this place at a company luncheon. I remembered it being so good. So today, as I was perusing places to order lunch for my team (and potentially future company events) I decided to give them a try. I ordered the Thai Chicken Wrap, it was okay it just did not have much flavor. It also fell apart since they failed to cut it in half; I thought this was a pretty standard practice when it comes to wraps. My cookie and pasta salad was left off the order. I called about it and was mysteriously disconnected when I asked to speak to a manager. When I finally did speak with a manager, he offered to refund me or I to come by and pick it up. I eat here at least 2-3x per week. My favorite item on the menu is the Tomahawk Chop Salad with strawberries and craisins.
