We have been several times and will continue to go back! The Good: Drink specials. No food specials right now (possibly due to covid) w/ the exception of kids eat free on Wednesday w/ the purchase of an adult meal. We had pickle chips and wings as apps and both were large portions and really tasty. We've eaten here several times and the chicken fettuccine Alfredo was great as well as the brisket. The kids love the burgers! The Bad: When they get slammed it gets busy! We waited quite a while for drink refills the last time we went. I also had a piece of fuzz floating in my water. My friend got served the wrong beer (she had a pale and ended up w/ a dark for the 2nd beer accidentally). She absolutely couldn't flag down the waitress to get the correct beer. She tried to get to the bar to have the right one poured and it was so crowded & there was only 1 bartender so she just drank it even though it wasn't the same as her 1st beer. I was on my way to a pizza place when I drove by Dock Rotz. Because I've never heard of a Dock Rotz and it looked interesting, I decided to stop in. The customer service was excellent, which was probably the best thing about the place. There was someone training so I had two servers waiting on me instead of one, and you know two is better than one. I ordered a veggie wrap with no cheese and onion rings. It didn't take long for the food to arrive so that was good as I was starving. The wrap was good but very dry; and, the onion rings were super greasy. I couldn't eat them all as I could feel the grease cruising through my veins. I asked for a side of salsa to put on the cotton ball wrap, I mean, veggie wrap as there was no dressing on it. I was surprised to see when I got the bill that I was charged $1 for a shot glass of salsa. What's up Dock...with that? Some coworkers and I participated in this year's Warrior Dash. We wanted to find a local place to visit before we headed back. One of my coworkers found Dock Rotz Tavern. I'm always down for bar food so I was game. It was a beautiful day so we asked if we could be moved to the outside seating. Such a good decision because it was a much better atmosphere. It felt very dark on the inside. It would have been a shame to miss all the sunshine. I had to wait...and wait....for some guy to leave the restroom so my coworkers had already ordered their appetizers. No biggie. I had to put my appetizer order in when I ordered my meal. I thought maybe it would come out before my meal. Nah, it came out with my meal. I was wondering if it was miscommunication. When I ordered it the server confirmed it by saying, "and a side of mac-n-cheese bites?" Yep. Either they were slow to make them or she thought I wanted it with my meal. I ordered the Fiesta Burger. Jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, avocado, and pico de gallo. That combination was amazing. One of the best burgers I've had in a while. The fries were ok. Not really a great complement to awesome burger. Let's talk about the mac-n-cheese bites. When I hear the word "bites," I picture something small. These were large rectangular blocks. It made eating them difficult. It was legit mac-n-cheese on the inside which was housed by a thin layer of crust. After taking a bite, the mac-n-cheese oozed out. I had to hold it upward to keep it inside. They should consider making smaller bites. Instead of 5 large bites, a bunch of smaller bites. Our waitress was friendly but like she was mostly absent. Luckily, she put a jug of water on the table so I didn't have to wait for a refill. We had 9 people so I didn't expect things to be too speedy however the service felt slow. We are traveling from STL to Michigan and wanted a nice Place to stop for Lunch! After stopping at the second place we picked out we were VERY happy!!! The server Steve was very attentive even tho he was the only serve and had several other tables! The food was great, our table had the pretzels, a Rueben, sloppy burger, pork nachos, and a veggie wrap!! Everyone left full and happy! We also tried a margarita flight and it was was great as well! I ate here a few times when I was working in the area mainly due to the proximity of my hotel. I tried several things and for the most part the food was fair. Once I had an order of pretzels with beer cheese and some buffalo wings. The pretzels were greasy which I found odd but the wings were plump and pretty good. Another time I got the loaded nachos with pulled pork. The chips were cheap but the toppings were great with the pork, black beans, queso, pico and jalapenos. The rest of the menu is mainly burgers and sandwiches with a few other entrees scattered about. The beer list is solid and the service at the bar is spot on. Overall a decent place. read more

This place is literally the best place to eat in Minooka. The staff is awesome as well as the food. My favorites are the margaritas, burgers, and the warrior nachos. We went here yesterday with a group of 6 and sat outside. Service sucked and was sooo slow getting drinks!!! We ordered food to go and they brought it out on plates and forgot about the cheese sticks.....our waiter came back and apologized for the mix up and said they are boxing up our hamburgers and I asked about the cheese sticks and he said they are making them now, I said my hamburgers will be cold by the time the cheese sticks are done he said they are under the heat lamp......about 20 min later they bring us our food to go and we leave. 5 min later we are home and YES COLD FRIES & HAMBURGERS & CHEESE STICKS!!!! It's just ok, but if the food had some healthier/fresher options, we might be inclined to come more often. Just some advice from someone who'd like to see you succeed: hire a pit master. I took my granddaughter out for girls day last Friday, about an hour after we ate I became very ill. I hurled from about 1 p.m. till 9 p.m. I believe it was the french onion soup that did it. I've eaten at Dock Rotz before never had any problem. I sent them a message about 3 days later because couldn't move to send it any sooner. I didn't want them to do anything about it at that point, but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated. I left my phone number and email in my message. Met some friends there for dinner. First time there. I had the beef brisket sandwich and a cup of the French onion soup. Both were very good. Some craft beer to wash it down. Our server was Harley and she was very good. A compliment to the establishment. The roof was leaking right behind us and a bucket was placed to catch the water. Still an enjoyable evening.
