During our visit we came here twice. Of special note was Elise who was our server for breakfast. One of the best servers we have ever had and we eat out way too much. Food was great. The view perfection.

Coconut cake and chocolate cashew cake. Both were AMAZING

An upscale restaurant/bar located inside the cda resort. If youre not staying at the hotel, just park in the parking garage and validate your ticket at the bell desk because 2 hours is free. We killed some time at the bar and enjoyed some dessert and drinks. Honestly most desserts will leave your pocket empty and underwhelmed. These were some of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Coconut cake and chocolate cashew cake were so moist. Check it out.

Decent experience in the resort restaurant. Everyone was hungry and we were seated right away. The server was nice but busy so we tried to make things easy. Had a nice calamari appetizer (a little spicy), handheld, a salad, and the trout plate. Things tasted great, had a nice table facing the lake, and the restaurant was pretty quiet considering it was a holiday weekend. It's a resort, meaning it's pricey, but not too bad for what you get portion and quality wise. Salad bar looked great too, had a cup of clam chowder and it was delish!!

We had some of the best service and a great view at this CDA restaurant! We got a view of the waterfront and boats at the CDA Resort during our meal and it was the perfect way to end our day. For food, we had the potato skins as an appetizer and a mix of burgers and fish for entrees. I personally had the fish tacos and they were divine! The sauce and mixed pinneapple salsa made for a great flavor combo. Those with the burgers and chicken sandwich had a hard time eating them due to their size, but they were delicious!

Absolutely amazing food, views, service, and prices! I got a beer and the steak sandwich , my wife got shrimp scampi came with some of the best corn chowder she's eaten for $60 before tip. Felt like fine dining but people were still dressed casually. Beautiful views of the river and boats docking. We also had our 7 month old with us and they had a kid menu and brought us a high chair. Best meal and experience I've ever had.

Heads up. The advertised $6 price of a weekend buffet mimosa is false. The actual price is $9. And that's for the 6 oz. glass. They also offer a 9 oz. glass for a whopping $18. It means you could get two 6 oz. glasses for the same price as one 9 oz glass. Strange pricing and false advertising aside, the taste and appeal of the $24.95 weekend breakfast buffet was disappointing. Eggs benedict looked old and tired. Huckleberry pancakes were thin and rubbery. Bacon overcooked. I guess it's a hazard of buffet cooking. I won't go back simply because of the food. The misleading advertising and bloated pricing of mimosas cinches the deal.

Always a great place for a wide range of dessert options. Coconut cake was the best of the 3 we had. The chocolate gooey was great to start then just piles of chocolate bars at the bottom made it unfinishable. The cobbler was not a cobbler more like a warm cake but the berries were wonderful .

My husband and I came for breakfast after staying at the hotel. The dining area is very open and modern. As the name suggests, there are nice views of the dock and surrounding lake. We were quickly greeted and seated and our waitress was very nice and stopped by to take our order right away. The food was really good and not terribly priced for being a restaurant in the fancy resort. They also have a nice selection of coffee and mimosa drinks.

I've been wanting to get around to try the infamous "gooeys" that Dockside offers for the longest time and I finally got around to it! The service: The service was absolutely exquisite. Literally some of the best customer service I've ever seen. It felt welcoming and the employees were very helpful! Our server, Anthony, was so professional and helpful. The food: I ordered a royal cheesecake gooey and my brother ordered a magical unicorn gooey (after a long masculine crisis that was really quite ridiculous). We received both gooeys after less than a fifteen minute wait! Both gooeys were SO GOOD, though they were very, very rich and huge. But it was literally the best ice cream I've ever had and all the toppings were perfect. The royal cheesecake one had strawberry ice cream, vanilla ice cream, crumbles of cheesecake, a slice of cheesecake on top, a strawberry, strawberry syrup, whipped cream, graham cracker crumbs, and a graham cracker. The unicorn one had bubblegum (or cotton candy?) ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles, and candy. The environment: It was a very fancy, nice restaurant. It was very professional and clean. We had a beautiful view from the window, as well! Final thoughts: I would definitely come back here! Between the service and food, it's a win-win for me (but not for my wallet).

We came early at 3:45 before our Santa Cruz to have a quick dinner and dessert. We got a nice table at the windows. We could overlook the water and watch the boats coming and going. We could also see some of the Christmas lights on the boardwalk, which was really magical. My husband and I split a turkey Panini sandwich and a Cobb salad. Both were delicious. Definitely would recommend getting both my husband also had the vanilla bourbon espresso martini, and I had the Huckleberry Mojito both of them. I definitely recommend giving a try. The waiter was friendly and patient with my two crazy children. We also got dessert, the gooey of the month, the pumpkin spice gooey it was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend that too dockside never fails to deliver with great service, wonderful ambience, and great views of Coeur d'Alene. It's definitely one of our favorite places to go in winter or summer.

    View from table.

Food has amazing flavor. Views are gorgeous. Our server, Sean, was the best and so friendly.

Must see eat- to believe ... who knew Idaho had it in them - there's no potato's involved. The salads are fresh and rewarding to the taste buds Everything is house made. Ciccarelli's -- Coeur d'Alene…read more As someone who has traveled extensively -- including throughout Italy, one of my favorite places on earth -- I do not say this lightly: Ciccarelli's serves some of the finest pizza I have ever eaten. And I mean anywhere. Italy included. There is something almost impossible to describe about truly exceptional pizza. At a certain level, words begin to fail because great pizza is not analyzed... it's experienced. It's the kind of food that causes conversations to stop mid-sentence because everyone at the table suddenly realizes something special is happening. That's Ciccarelli's. I've lived in Coeur d'Alene barely three weeks and my wife and I have already been there three times. At this point, resistance appears futile. Every pizza we've tried has been a masterpiece. Not "really good." Not "our favorite in town." Masterpiece. The crust alone deserves poetry -- blistered, wood-fired perfection with that delicate balance of crispness, chew, char, and tenderness that only happens when people truly understand dough. Every ingredient tastes intentional. Nothing feels thrown together. Every bite -- from the tip of the slice to the outer crust -- is a full gastronomic experience. Favorites so far: THAT'S AMORE -- red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onion, black olives & mozzarella. THE SPICY ITALIAN -- spicy red sauce, pesto, Italian sausage, red onions, fresh mozzarella, parmesan & basil. Ridiculously good. THE STELLA -- olive oil base, goat cheese, prosciutto, apricot preserves & honey drizzle. Sweet, savory, luxurious, and somehow perfectly balanced. And the Pizza Margherita... Listen carefully: A Margherita pizza is the ultimate truth serum for a pizza restaurant. You cannot hide behind toppings. It exposes everything -- crust, sauce, cheese, balance, restraint, technique. Ciccarelli's passes that test with flying colors. Their Margherita has become my weekly sustenance pizza. And then... The desserts. Good grief. Most restaurants treat dessert like an afterthought. Ciccarelli's treats it like a sacred continuation of the meal. I am slowly working my way through their dessert offerings, but I keep getting derailed by the BLACK BOTTOM COCONUT CREAM PIE. I have been eating coconut cream pie for over seventy years. Seventy. I have NEVER had anything like this pie. The rich saturation of flavor... the generous texture of real coconut... the black bottom... whatever culinary sorcery is occurring back there needs to be protected by national treaty. It is so good that you could honestly justify visiting Ciccarelli's solely for dessert. Also outstanding: * Piña Colada Cream Pie * Strawberry Shortcake Torte * Napoleon * Cannoli The restaurant itself is immaculate, intimate, warm, and beautifully designed. Seating is limited, however, and deservedly so. My advice? Get there early or go on a weekday if possible. They also offer lovely outdoor seating. And finally, the family behind it all. There is something unmistakable about a place built by people who genuinely love what they do, love each other, and love the experience they are creating for others. You can feel it the moment you walk in. That kind of thing cannot be faked. Ciccarelli's is not merely a restaurant. It's one of those rare places people discover and then quietly hope doesn't become too famous because they still want to get a table. An absolute gem in Coeur d'Alene.

45 Minutes for Two Scoops and a Caramel Sighting…read more We had wanted to try Roger's Ice Cream & Burgers, so on a warm 80-degree afternoon we stopped by for what we thought would be a quick ice cream. There were only a couple of people ahead of us, so we assumed we would be enjoying our ice cream in short order. As it turned out, "short order" may mean something different in the frozen dairy arts. It took about ten minutes just to reach the window. When we finally stepped up, the order window was abruptly shut. No greeting. No smile. No explanation. Not even a glance in our direction. Just bang--and suddenly the window became less of a service window and more of a stage curtain. After several minutes of silence, we considered politely knocking just to make sure we had not become invisible. Eventually, someone inside made brief eye contact, so our existence was confirmed. Still, it took another ten minutes or so before the window opened again. "Can I help you?" That was it. No "thanks for waiting." No "sorry about the delay." Just the efficient warmth of a parking meter. When my wife ordered, there was a minor misunderstanding. She asked for a "small scoop," meaning a single scoop, though "small" apparently is not one of their listed sizes. This could have been handled easily. Instead, the correction carried the emotional weight of translating ancient Greek during a lunch rush. We ordered two single scoops in cups. I added caramel topping for an extra 99 cents, which I assumed meant something more than a caramel rumor. Just as we were about to ask how long it might take, the window closed again. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. At about the 25-minute mark, I began wondering whether the ice cream was being made from scratch, beginning with negotiations with the cow. By the 35-minute mark, our quick ice cream stop had become less of a treat and more of a character-building exercise with spoons. All told, it took just over 40 minutes to receive two single scoops in cups. During that time, no one offered an update, an apology, or even a simple acknowledgment. When the ice cream was finally handed to us, the window was immediately shut again. The caramel topping I had paid extra for looked less like a topping and more like a few thin drizzle lines that had passed briefly over the ice cream on their way somewhere else. My scoop was also noticeably smaller than my wife's, even though we had ordered the same size. I took a photo because, at that point, the picture said it better than I could. I tried to get someone's attention and asked whether the caramel may have been missed or rushed. Without really looking at it, I was told, "No, that's the right amount." And then the window closed again. By the time we walked away, our "quick stop" for two scoops of ice cream had taken about 45 minutes. The service felt cold, rushed, indifferent, and oddly burdened by our presence, as though we had accidentally wandered into a staff-only moment and ordered ice cream. The ice cream itself did not rescue the experience. It was not terrible. It was not bland. It was not the worst ice cream we have ever had. It was something almost more disappointing: completely unremarkable. After decades of eating ice cream in all sorts of places, I cannot remember having anything quite this mediocre. It was barely ice cream one would cross a parking lot for, let alone wait 45 minutes for it. I enjoy writing reviews, and most of mine are five stars. I do not enjoy writing negative ones. But in this case, between the long wait, the lack of communication, the dismissive service, the uneven portion size, and the underwhelming 99-cent caramel appearance, this was a deeply disappointing first visit. A simple greeting, a quick apology, or even a "thanks for your patience--we're backed up" would have changed the entire experience. Instead, we got silence, a slamming window, and a caramel topping that seemed to be practicing minimalism.
