    Biscuits and gravy with bacon

Our waitress was fantastic!! Sue was very friendly and knowledgeable! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the wall art and there were even cows mooing! lol[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Tucked up on the corner of 4th and prairie. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was a little dark , nothing fancy or fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is "MOO" sound that goes off every 30 min or so.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That's about it when it comes to the cow theme. The food was overpriced , small portions and mediocre at best. The waitress was kind, but after taking our orders she walked by once and said "it's good isn't it" and never came back to fill our drinks or ask if we needed something until she brought our check at the end. She hyped up the food like it was award winning. The French toast had no flavor , neither did the syrup that came with it , like it was watered down. The biscuits and gravy was a waste! The biscuits were a little hard and grainy and tasted like a gluten free option. The gravy wasn't that good either. The "homemade" sausage was a small glob of overcooked meat. Like a shriveled hamburger patty. The avocado Beny was decent. Although I don't know if a small dollop of avocado counts as "avocado" . The portions were small !! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was "eh" , atmosphere was bland , and the food was not the best.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Paid $80 for 4 people (with tip) and no drinks. Won't be coming back ! Incredibly disappointed

Great B&G. Biscuits were cheddar, and so light...

We tried another popular place, and the wait was going to be longer than my ADHD would allow, so Plan B turned out to be juuuust fine. Such nice folks here, and they were pretty busy on a holiday weekend, but a few things really impressed me. We were in and outta there in under 45 mins, and that's what we were looking for on a cruisin' morning. And--the food. It was amazingly hearty, yet lite at the same time. Yes, I know that doesn't make sense, haha. But it also meant there wouldn't be a doggie box following us around during our busy day. I ate all mine....and then finished hers. Didn't eat till after 8PM later in the day, but that was expected. We'll have to try their sister resto in Spokane Valley...

    The Stupid Cow. Great food.

The best biscuits and gravy I've had in a long time. The gravy was made from scratch and the sausage patty was hand pressed.

The staff is lively and friendly - no surprise - and service is FAST. My espresso was prepped & handed to me before I even clicked on the "Tip Amount" on the card reader -- if on purpose, brilliant, if not, certainly made it an easy decision to tip generously. The baked goods perched in window at the front counter - between croissants, banana bread, tarts, cheesecakes,... - are beautifully crafted and tempt even the LEAST sweet tooth's of us. They have an EXTENSIVE list of crepes (both savory and sweet options) and sandwiches, so if you come for a grind session, you have plenty of (seemingly tasty) food options to choose from. Prices...$2.75 for a double espresso is a deal, especially at a well-staffed / newly(?) renovated / luxury coffee establishment such as this. They really could raise their price two-fold and I'd still be happy (at least coming from Californian like myself). My espresso was served hot but not burned, with low acid beans which contained an obvious LACK of mycotoxins & mold (at least based on my amateur judgement; I am a good judge, though, as I am extremely sensitive with coffee beans). So with that said, if you are sensitive and need high quality coffee beans, do what I do and make Bernklau your morning coffee spot if you are staying or live in the area. A+ all around. Kudos to the owner/manager and kudos to the staff.
