This place is a small little ice cream shop my wife wanted to check out. When you walk in it's seems like a mom & Pop shop and has that neat old school shop vibe. Their ice cream and coffee selection was pretty good and they also do flights of ice cream and flights of coffee. We had a flight of ice cream and then had an iced coffee with their signature ice cream blended into it which was called Detroit Grand Slam, this iced coffee was so good I had to go back in and order a pint of the ice cream so I could replicate this iced coffee at home. This place is really cool and we will definitely go back. The lady behind the counter was very nice and very fast. The outdoor seating was a really nice addition to be able to sit outside and enjoy our desserts. You HAVE to come here if you like coffee & ice cream and try the Detroit Grand Slam. read more

Felt like getting a cold dairy treat on this warm summer day. Asked for a scoop of the orange pineapple and it really hit the spot. The place was pretty basic as far as ice cream shops are concerned, and I didn't feel like the flavors they offered were out of this world or unique compared to other places I've been. During the Memorial Day holiday, my husband and I drove up to Doc's ice cream parlor to check it out since we heard the Facebook group of the Huron coalition dam was having a little event. The store is so cute and the ice cream is absolutely delicious. They have some little trinkets for sale and some adorable looking candles for maybe next time. There's plenty of seating and wheelchair accessible in and out. I saw this place during Apple Fest and I thought it looked so cute! I was wrong. The outside does not match the inside. I walked in and two girls were on their phones hiding in the middle room. I said hello and they both looked at me and looked upset. I asked for basic strawberry ice cream in a cup and it was a size of a small tennis ball. Overall this place is extremely unwelcoming and the employees were very rude. Also, the floors and tables were quite dirty. Prices are very expensive for the small amount of ice cream you get. I recommend going to Blue Sky down the street. At least they will treat you with respect. read more

We chanced upon this little gem on our way down to Cleveland- it was the only non- chain coffee place in the area. We were pleasantly surprised it was open since several places have been closed this weekend due to the holiday. The place was a whimsical mix of old fashioned and contemporary styles. The shop Appeared to be a historic farm house that was renovated to the business it is now. The sweet smell of coffee and cones wafting in the air were a pleasant greeting as you walked in. One of the things that really stands out when you visit is just how expertly decorated and designed everything is- it's clean, modern, classic but cozy and gives off the "you're family here" vibe. The staff was super nice- we ordered two cappuccinos- one regular, one coconut. Though I ended up getting an oat milk one mistakenly, it was still a great cup of joe. I took a picture of this lovely poem that was framed onto the wall. I think it's a great symbol of the the family friendly ambience that this place exudes. Most certainly a neighborhood hotspot to converse over a cup of coffee or scoop of ice cream. Two thumbs up- and definitely worth the trip for local and visitors alike! read more

Couldn't wait for this place to open!! Everyone working was super nice and friendly! The ice cream was delicious! My brother and I are both lactose intolerant and we had the vegan black Cherry, it was delicious! My brothers girlfriend had the strawberry cheesecake I believe which she also really liked. The inside was super clean and inviting, tons of stuff on the menu and thr cutest little nook with a fireplace and tables to sit and enjoy a coffee! Tons of seating outside as well! The staff was even nice enough to ask us if we had to use the bathroom before they locked the doors for the evening! got there at 8:20 PM. The sign and website said they close at nine. Had an infant with me and unfortunately the door was locked. I was very frustrated. Stopped by for their socially distant and 100% safe soft opening and had a great iced latte and ice cream. They have lots of milk options as well as flavor options, and the space is very cozy and modern. Definitely recommend, especially once it gets warmer as they have a large outdoor space and fire pit. read more

Cute place but don't serve milk shakes or anything shake related when they are a little busy. Also said they ran out of cones but watched them put more on the shelf after it slowed down think they were just lying to ppl so they can lose customers cause they were some what busy. If your going to run a business you need to accept that it maybe a little busy sometimes. Only had two ppl working which should be enough ppl to run a ice cream place. I guess not though making the younger one do all the work while the older one sits at the register. If I were you I'd drive a mile up Huron River Drive to Blue Sky Ice Cream they won't turn you away or lie about them running out of stock when they didn't. You should be ashamed!!! read more
