Seared Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna
Steven P.

Had a business lunch on a slow day (weather). Service was very good. I had the seared tuna with side salad and the other person had the shrimp and grits. My tuna was seared while rare in the middle. I did ask for it as rare as possible, so they could have pulled it a bit sooner. The serving was not that big for $32. The shrimp and grits looked good, but for $34 seemed pricey for the portion. They do have plenty of other more modestly priced lunch options that are $15-$20, including some nice combo options... so we may have been ordering the standard dinner meals. Overall the food and service was good - pricing for the main entrees seemed high for lunch given the portion sizes.

We visited for brunch on a Sunday, with a large group. We had a reservation, but a few unexpected guests joined us. The restaurant team was so helpful and accommodating, even though they were busy. The service was quick and efficient, even though we had a large group. All of our food was delicious! Definitely recommend Doc's for your next brunch outing!

This place was recommended to us by our realtor and it did not disappoint. The oysters are amazing and I can't wait to come back

My wife eating an oyster

Definitely coming back here. It was great food, their grilled oysters are the BOMB!!! I got lobster pasta and I would definitely order it again. Atmosphere is LOUD. It's mostly a bar filled with roided up 40-50 yo dudes looking for significance. But the food is definitely worth coming back for.

Burger and fries

We're always keeping a lookout for restaurants that offer outdoor seating and are dog friendly. Doc's meets both those requirements. Mark Gibson was set up inside and was playing to a nearly full house. We sat on the patio and it was pleasant. We split a 1/2 lb hamburger with fries. It was very good and the kitchen split the burger onto two plates for us. Very nice. The only negative was that a neighboring restaurant had an event of some sort going on on their outside patio and the amplified entertainer was loud. The sound drifted over easily and was quite distracting. Otherwise we had a nice time and the burger was great.

Vegetarian risotto

Doc's food was phenomenal. I ordered the vegetarian risotto & it was heavenly! My husband ordered the shrimp étouffée & ate every last bite. Service was quick & efficient, and the vibe of the restaurant is quaint & cozy. We will definitely be back!

Creole Scramble and French Toasts

We went to Doc's for brunch recently, the place was packed, which was a good sign. Pretty busy on weekends so expect a little bit of a wait. Service was prompt and staff were friendly despite how busy the restaurant was. We started with a liter of grapefruit mimosa, pretty good deal if you plan on having more than two mimosas per person. For brunch we got the Creole scramble, Doc's Breakfast plate and shared a plate of French Toasts. The creole scramble was pretty good, the andouille sausage and shrimp blended well with the gravy and potatoes. The French toasts were delicious with the fresh made whip cream and fresh berries, great to satisfy your sweet tooth! Doc's breakfast plate was a pretty safe and standard option for breakfast, nothing too special but everything on the plate tasted good.

Doc's Burrito

Love Doc's!! I feel it is constantly busy during brunch time on the weekends, but it is well worth the wait! I always get the burrito. It is pretty affordable, delicious, and great for hangovers. They unfortunately ran out of sausage and didn't mention that to us because the burrito comes with sausage in it. Other than that, it is a cute and great place to grab brunch!

We started off with cocktails and both were fantastic. We hit the flow state with fries and the Caesar salad and immediately yes to both. For 7 bucks you get a ton of fries and the Caesar was the perfect touch. We paired these two items with their Savy Blanc and it was crispy and refreshing. Moving on to the mains, the burger (dare I say) might give Tina's a run for their money. It was cooked perfectly and with all the elements of a perfect smash burger. The salmon was fantastic but my greedy self wished it was bigger cause it was that good. As a whole, vintage wine bar is becoming one of my favorite spots in Tulsa. Service was friendly and knowledgeable when engaged, but at times it took a bit longer to get attention than expected. Still, its a nice spot to unwind, especially if youre in the mood to try something a little different without too much pressure.

If I didn't like the food, I might still go based on service and atmosphere alone. But let me tell you.... The food is divine. The blueberry muffin was truly the best muffin I've had in my life, and I do not say this lightly, I am quite picky about muffins. Fluffy and moist, the blueberries were not mushy. And the jalapeno scones was shockingly good and it was even gluten free. It was more similar to a shortbread in texture, which I preferred over a scone actually. Very buttery and tasty, not spicy if you're sensitive to that. It was $17 for these items, so higher than expected, but spot on for unparalleled quality. Friendly service, and very fast. Aside from that, they ordered things off the Happy Hour menu and were pleased. Dan and I got the 2 Happy Hour rolls. We would have loved "Some Like it Hot" without the hot sauce. There was a time when Dan and I loved that but now our sushi preference is nigiri and our roll preference is whatever is the closest thing you can get to nigiri. We also don't like signature cocktails. We prefer both our drinks and our sushi to be as close to pure as we can get: martinis and nigiri . We frequently attend Happy Hour at a different In the Raw. We find the service and ambiance better where we usually go. The sake at Brookside was not good. It had kind of a soapy taste. We got domestic beers for our second drinks. We forgot to ask for glasses. Service was slow so we just drank them from the bottle, which we hate to do. The main plus for the Brookside restaurant is the location. During warm weather, the outdoor seating is fun. We had a fun evening with our granddaughter and her wonderful boyfriend. My advice to diners is to ask for the Happy Hour menu anytime you go to any restaurant between 2 PM and 7 PM. This isn't the only restaurant that has a Happy Hour but doesn't promote it. Happy Hour here is from 3 and 5. They don't give you a Happy Hour menu unless you ask for it. Check out my Happy Hour list.
