If you're looking for some good Cajun seafood, this is a place you should definitely try! I got to try the fried shrimp basket, chicken & sausage jambalaya, potato salad, and banana pudding. Everything was so rich and flavorful. Very filling! The shrimp was perfectly fried. The jambalaya held so much flavor and seasoning. The potato salad would not be my first choice as a side but it was still okay. And the banana pudding was subtly sweet which was perfect for my sweet tooth. read more

This place is good. It looked similar to Popeyes, but way better. First southern fried catfish restaurant for me and i was surprised. Everyone enjoyed their food and nothing smelled or tasted fishy at all. I got the 3pc fish and 6pc shrimp dinner and it took every ounce of strength to finish. They give tartar and cocktail sauce and it works! Service was friendly and the cook to order, so expect to wait a little, but it's hot and fresh out the fryer. Real good! read more

I read it like this because you can have bad food and as long as it's hot people might not complain but when you have cold food, you don't know if it's good or bad I was very disappointed. I have never been so disrespected in my whole entire life. Last night after a long day of work I decide to call in an order for my family (4 people) to enjoy together. They said it would be ready for pick up in 35 minutes and I thought it was perfect since I was still driving out of Dallas. I then arrive 30 minutes later, pay, and step to the side to wait for my food. There was a Friday night dinner rush so I can understand why they were so busy. 15 minutes go by and still no food. 20 minutes go by and I start to see other orders who came in after me go out. As a faithful Catholic during lent I decide to continue being patient and think maybe those orders were called in before mine. 45 minutes later and still NO FOOD. At this point I'm starving and tired after working a long day and just want to get my food and go home. But I continue to be patient. After an HOUR of waiting I'm pissed off and starving so I went up to the front counter to the guys that I've been staring down for over an hour and asked them about my food. He asked for my name and order number and went to talk with the cooks and then I hear them say "oh I forgot". Then he comes out to tell me that they didn't hear my name be called out. Maybe they couldn't hear my name because they are too busy laughing and joking around while loud Cajun music is blasting throughout the whole restaurant. Not even two minutes later I get my food. At this point I just wanted to get home to my family and try to enjoy a meal after a 10 hour shift at work and an hour wait at this establishment. Then I see this sad box. Shrimp was bland and cold. I will never be returning. How could the front counter guys see me wait for over an hour and not even think to check the back orders and see which have not gone out yet. Captain D's would have been a better dinner choice. read more

Came in here on a Sunday afternoon. They close at 6:00 today and around 5:00 it filled up with customers. The wait for the food was not too bad, it took about 25 minutes to cook our dinner for 4. It was well worth the wait! I'm not a huge catfish fan like my husband is but I thought it was the best catfish that I've ever had. The fries were good, not seasoned. The hush puppies were smaller than I like but no complaints about the taste or texture. Next time we will come in on Friday or Saturday and enjoy an adult beverage. When I first started going here it was good, now with each order the food is getting worse. This last time I ordered the shrimp ettouffee, fried fish and shrimp...omg, the etouffee had so much salt in it, extremely nasty, the fried shrimp tasted old or fried in some old grease...I won't be getting anything going forward. read more

This may be a second post on this one for me. I generally get back in tow on Fridays and I always eat fish on Fridays. Since this is the only place that I know close by (I think it is, I haven't looked for another one)it has good catfish and close to where I live, I seem to find this place every Friday around 7:30 PM for the past year. The food is fresh and it is good. I love giving the staff a hard time (on a good way), they are cool and very professional. They never complain even when we sat there after closing time. They had every right to say "sir we close at 9:00, but at 9:20 the staff said was still just as friendly and talkative. Of course I immediately apologized and we left so they could clean up and get to their families. When you go, don't forget the punch! read more

If you're in the area and you love catfish, definitely stop by this place. They have some of the best catfish I've ever had. Definitely a little spicier than most, but that's what makes it unique. The fries and hush puppies are always amazing, too! They recently remodeled and expanded this location, making it almost twice the size it was before- a very smart move!
