Visited this establishment twice, as a person should before writing a review. After all anyone can have a bad day, but two days in a row and you start to solidify your thoughts. This business operates another within same outlet called Bad Ass Breakfast Burritos or (BABB) for short, very odd the way this is done, not to mention very confusing for first timers as there is no signage indicating that name (Hokey) if you ask me. Regardless of how the business presents itself, I am here to write about the food: 1st visit, My wife and I ordered the same thing, the "Haus Burrito" we were asked if we would like the eggs in the burrito sunny side up (very nice) as I love the. Look of fresh yolk in the burrito, bacon, grilled sweet onions, potatoes and a spicy mayo. The ingredients sound good, but the wait was 25 minutes (we were the only ones who had ordered in the period). First bite was mostly tortilla and egg , the spicy mayo had a subtlety sweet aftertaste, that didn't fit and the eggs were overcooked so no fresh yolk, bacon (which is the main ingredient was scarce). This was consistent with both of our burritos. Most places serve fresh salsa or have a salsa bar that you can use to garnish your burrito. They do not have any salsa, instead they have dipping sauce, which are extra and the portion you get is about a tablespoon in size. Since I wanted something that would offset the sweetness of the spice mayo I settled for the "Haus Buffalo" sauce, I added some to the next bite , it had no spiciness that you would expect from a buffalo sauce and it made it taste sweeter. We both wrapped up the leftovers and called it a day, very disappointing when you consider it was $29.84 for two burritos and a tablespoon of sauce. 2nd visit, Ironically we ended up going there for lunch the very next dayI ordered the Cheeseburger and my wife got the corn dog and we both split an order of fries, my wife's corn dog was partially cooked and the whole corn dog was saturated in the cooking oil (disgusting), the burger (again sweet undertones). If your going after the sweet n savory, there has to be equal parts just like alkaline and acidic one has to offset the other equally. The Cheeseburger is made with Hawaiian sweet bread, there is a special "Haus" sauce, tomato, lettuce and dare I say "sweet pickles". The only word that comes to mind is "Awful", one thing is for certain I'm not going to gain any weight eating here. The only enjoyable portion of the meal was the French Fries, they were very good. The bread is both toasted and fluffy, and this fhe perfect delivery system for the beef, which by the way, is perfectly seasoned. The bun is square - so it makes for a unique experience. My son snarfed it down. My husband loved his burger salad. It was substantial, flavorful and satisfying. He usually complains about not having enough when he doesn't have the bun but he made no complaints with this because he was too busy chewing and savoring every bite because it was amazing according to him. Despite the late hours, staff greeted me with a smile. I ordered the Haus Burrito ($11.99). Staff handed me an electronic pager. The order took 12 minutes and 50 seconds. As mentioned prior, I did not enjoy the Haus Burrito. It tastes like processed ingredients slapped together. The prevalent taste is the spicy mayo and white cheese sauce (reminiscent of the stuff squirted onto Wendy's fries). Next, the taste of hard and chewy bacon (similar to stale beef jerky bits) plops through. Lastly, the flavor of rubbery egg (comparable to a McDonald's McMuffin) joins. Unfortunately, this burrito's tater tots and caramelized onions are afterthoughts. Regarding ambiance, Dog Hause (Glendora) is clean and comfortable. This business is a food stand in the Public Glendora Market building. Fortunately, this building felt well-maintained and well-ventilated despite the late hours. The interior is well-lit; there's plenty of clean tables; and upbeat music played on its speakers. Also, I enjoyed the public dining area's flat screen TV and projector which played sports for guests. There's also a restroom with code nearby. My friend and I chose to dine in while we caught up, so we grabbed a table in the communal dining area. There were lots of open tables and chairs for 2 - 6. The table we sat at was clean. Just by chance, a group came to sit nearby that was quite boisterous, but that's the way of communal seating. There are quieter spots as well as outdoor seating at GPM. They have an excellent corndog situation at Dog Haus. The corndog is like county fair caliber - a nice bready corn exterior with a high qual hotdog. The hotdog, might I add, has a nice snappy casing, which isn't needed in a corndog, however much appreciated anyway. If the corndog is already this good - imagine their hotdogs. This is the second Dog Haus I've been to. As always, my go-to item is the cheeseburger slider. And as always, it tastes phenomenal. I'm not sure if it's unique to this location or if it's something they started doing at all locations, but the bun was toasted! I love the toasted bun. The texture goes very well with the crispy patty. Also got the tater tots. The taste is fine and nothing special, but the crispy texture is perfect, more crispy than I expected, without being overly fried. Cashier was extremely rude. I asked for spicy mayo on outside because I am allergic and she said no and told me to step aside and let someone go next while I was mid sentence. There was underline discrimination at play as the next customer was a white female and the cashiers attitude completely changed to more positive. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was very stressed and admitted she was really rude towards me. I wouldn't give this place your business and go to another location(West Covina is 10 min drive) unless you want to be mistreated. The lady recommended the Impossible Cali Burrito so I got it, too... now this is the B*MB! Probably the best breakfast burrito I have ever eaten and it's vegetarian. Yes, it's bad-ass alright LOL.
