My coworkers order from here all the time and i decided to go and check the place out in person as i hear their pastries were great. I was not disappointed at all! My coworkers got their empanadas and i just got a basic blueberry danish with a coffee.... Spoiler alert, their coffee is strong! They have a variety of food as well as pizzas/ flatbreads that are already made and a quick grab for you. As well as meals you can have them make. They have a good variety of bakery and cafe items. This is honestly such a gem for a location. The service was great and the staff was super kind and gave us some free cookies as well. The inside has a good amount of seating as well as an outside area with more seating that had a roof cover so it's all shaded especially on these hot days where being under the sun suck. I am so glad I gave this spot a try! I went back for the second time and I am hooked! At first I thought it was more sweets and pastries, but they have really delicious food. I tried an iced maple latte and the savory breakfast bagel, soooo good. I'm a local and would highly recommend coming here over rail side cafe! Came in Friday morning with my run club and it was an amazing experience .! To start off Marcos greeted us and his mother was so welcoming as well ! It felt like you were walking into a friends house for sure . I love that this Gem is in our neighborhood! Marcos made the suggestion on the Savory burrito and my husband loved it ! I overheard a couple next to me say their burritos were really good as well. They also mentioned the burrito was very filling and had to take leftovers. I also got an americano with my meal. We've passed by Sweet Savory Cafe many times on our late afternoon strolls through Old Town San Dimas but hadn't been able to visit due to their early closing time. With an eye on purchasing some pastries for the following day's Rose Parade, we made it a point to finally stop in during business hours on New Year's Eve. We never realized how popular this cafe is. We fully understand why, however, after getting the opportunity to see this business in action and sample some of their wonderful offerings. Breakfast burritos, sandwiches, pastries, freshly-squeezed juices, and fruit bowls are just some of the many items available for purchase. With so many yummy baked goods on display, we easily filled a box with a variety of freshly made pastries for New Year's Day but also couldn't resist splitting a carnitas breakfast burrito, as well. It was fantastic - loaded with lean pork and more than enough for the two of us to enjoy together. Similarly, our pastries were a hit the following morning (and still nice and fresh, too, despite being saved overnight). From what I understand, this is a family-owned business, and the staff is extremely friendly and patient (we browsed a bit before making our selections but never felt rushed). They were genuinely happy to know we were first timers, and the young man at the counter fielded our many questions with an impressive knowledge of what goes into their creations. From the street, this cafe looks extremely small, but we didn't realize there is also an indoor patio for diners in addition to the small, gated front patio on the street and dining area within the cafe itself. I would 100% get this burrito again and I'm pretty sad that it isn't closer to where I live. My wife go the BLT and she also loved it. Wonderful little cafe that was recommended to me by my stylist when I was getting my hair done next door. I ordered the Italian panini and chose 2 pastries-- pistachio croissant and mango turnover topped with coconut shavings. The panini was delicious. Hot, crispy and so fresh! If only I had the chance to eat it right when they handed it to me because that would've been amazing, but unfortunately it was to-go and I still had a 20 min drive home. It also came with a small side of fruits! The mango turnover was so yummy being able to taste all that mango on the inside, the flaky pastry itself, and coconut toppings. I was excited for the pistachio croissant but unfortunately it was my least favorite. I didn't see any real pistachios on/inside of it and the filling was just a small dollop of what seemed like artificial pistachio cream. The first taco Tuesday from 4-8 yesterday. I can not even begin to say how amazing this was. The place was jumping. I tried the al pastor, the carne asada, the shredded beef, chicken and a vegan taco. Actually we brought dozens of tacos home. The real surprise was the vegan taco. Soy based but you would never know. It had so much flavor. The service as always was 5+ stars. I also tried the beef stew/soup which was a big winner at home. I've been coming here for years, since the pandemic and they've always been so welcome and it shows with the repeat customers and the often busy mornings when I'm there. They try to get to know you when they recognize you. On top of that they make great sandwiches and empenadas! On the prowl for a new place in the area to get our breakfast burrito fix. They have a great location and nice ambiance with indoor and outdoor and indoor patio seating. They have a good selection of fresh baked pastries. We had a chocolate chip cookie and blueberry frosted cinnamon roll, which were fantastic. We ordered a kids breakfast burrito, which had potatoes, eggs, cheese, and bacon, and also came with a small bowl of fruit and a juice box. Also ordered their signature Savory Breakfast Burrito which had bacon, chorizo, Kielbasa Sausage, potatoes, and cheese. Both burritos are sharable. The kids burrito is actually pretty close to the same size as the regular burritos, but with fewer ingredient options. We preferred this burrito over the other burrito which was a little over the top for our liking. The service was great and the speed and accuracy of our order was also good. However, it is pretty pricy for a breakfast burrito. We look forward to trying a couple of the other variations at least once before deciding if this is our new spot. read more

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday. There is a fairly large parking lot in the back of the cafe. The cafe has a cute inside but also a beautiful patio where you can sit (has heat lamps to keep you warm on cold days). Service is beyond incredible here! Everyone is so friendly and warm. Got the chicken empanadas, sweet savory salad, grilled veggie salad, and brisket sandwich with coleslaw. We asked for the bbq sauce on the side for the sandwich but they put it in the sandwich on accident. They were so apologetic and gave us their pineapple drink and pastries on the house! Both were unbelievable! Everything was absolutely delicious (only thing is the brisket on the sandwich was on the tough side today but flavor was yummy).
