My girlfriend and I booked the hour tour at noon on a Friday. We arrived right at noon, and the tour was already on the move, so definitely arrive early to get the safety overview and glasses (especially because it's easy to get stuck behind some farm vehicles in that area). The tour was above and beyond what we expected! Our tour guide, Susie, was absolutely fantastic. She knew everything and anything about the history of the brewery and the science behind it all. She was so enthusiastic and a genuine joy to spend the hour with! Our tour got to go up in the treehouse and that was very neat! After the tour (and a little bit during) we tasted many beers that are not available to the general public. It's pretty obvious why this brewery is so popular - all of their beers, even the ones you may not gravitate towards (for us, dark beers) are smooth and well balanced. There are plenty of tables inside and outside and some snacky food options. They have corn hole set up as well. We also think we may have spotted Mr. Sam himself while we were there, which was an added bonus! We ended the day in the gift shop where you can buy beer, canned cocktails, spirits and lots of cool merch!

Friendly folk and great atmosphere. Chill vibes so no need to dress up. There is a merch store inside with clothes, cups, stickers etc. There is also an outside seating area with shade Inside there is a variety of beer and cocktails option. Prices were very reasonable

What an amazing place to hang out and drink and eat. They have outdoor seating and games that is excellent when weather is nice. There is indoor seating. They offer a tour of the brewery for $20. Great place for family with small children as well. Families were playing cards or brought toys for their kids. The service is fast and friendly.

Great brewery! I could believe how large the property is. This was my first time visiting Digfish and I loved it! I tried a flight with a mixture of ipa's and stout. Loved the espresso flavor stout. Boy was it strong. lol. I almost needed an Uber for one flight of beer. lol. Service was great and patrons were friendly. I sound definitely visit again!

I can't recommend this brewery enough! It has something for truly everyone! We made a day trip to visit, driving in from DC. We brought our pup and his essentials because we heard it was very dog friendly. And boy, they were not lying! Dogs were everywhere and it was so joyous! Kids were everywhere and there were tons for kids to do to stay occupied while the adults enjoyed their bevies and food. I enjoyed a flight because I always love trying brewery specific brews that I can't get anywhere else. My favorite was their pumpkin ale. There is so much seating, inside and outside. The service was great and they kept the place very tidy, considering it was an incredibly busy place and not everyone cleans up after themselves. This is a must destination for any brewery lover or lover of places you can literally bring the whole family!

I've always wanted to check this place out as I've had a ton of their beers for many years, and I'm glad that I was able to make it here! Firstly, the variety of beers they offer here is incredible. Whether it's their staple products, or the really interesting experimentals they have, you'll be highly pleased! The staff was incredibly nice & helpful about the local area. Also, they have one of the best, if not the best, gift shop I've ever seen in a brewery before. Not only do I recommend this place highly, but I myself MUST get back.

Let me start out by saying I didn't take a tour or eat here. I'm an old Dogfish fan and enjoyed visiting. Had two beers- my old favorite 90 Minute IPA( preferred to 60 Minute and another beer that was called an Italian style imperial lager. They were both good. The tap selection is very impressive. I also bought a couple things at the gift store. Finally, I observed the steam punk tree house. It's an interesting bit of construction. Basically, if you like Doggish, you'll want to come here.

This was a very fun place to spend a few hours. We took the tour, which was led by a very knowledgeable woman and included a beer. After, we hung out at the bar, then went onto the large lawn and played corn hole. The bar has a very fun sour slushy and it also has test beers you can't get anywhere else. Oh - and they have electric car chargers, both for Tesla and other plugs.

Always a pleasure visiting this brewery, by far the best around! The gift shop is super rad, with unique items that make perfect souvenirs. Love the history that built this business! The bartenders & tour guide were absolutely fantastic, making the experience even more memorable. Plus, the place is spotless. Can't recommend it enough!

Highly recommend booking the Off-Centered tour, definitely one of the more interactive and educational brewery tours we have been on! In just over an hour, we had four tastings including flagship beers, an experimental beer, and one of their new seltzers plus a flight from the bar at the end. The tour takes you through their main brewhouse, R&D section, and up into the steampunk treehouse allowing you to see and learn everything from their fermentation to packaging processes. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of their history and brews and kept the tour entertaining. Lastly, the tour includes a tasting glass and sticker to take home. When at the brewery definitely take advantage of the experimental brews only at the bar! If you are a fan of IPAs, their best-selling line of IPAs is a must try - any of the 60/75/90/120 minute IPAs which get stronger the longer they are brewed. They also offer food typically found at most breweries but with some unique twists and beer infused sauces. There is a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Don't forget to stop by their large gift shop before you leave as well!

I've taken both the short 25-minute tour and the longer off-centered tour at the Brewery. Both were phenomenal! First, Dogfish Head has a great backstory regarding its founding and the tour guides share that with enthusiasm. Second, you are offered various beer tastings during the tour and are given a four taste flight afterwards allowing you to sample the different beers and products that Dogfish Head produces. This is obviously a fun place to work at and I will recommend it to anyone visiting the Delaware Rehobeth beach area.

    Andrea S.

Great selection of beers, including their experimental brews that you can comment on. Some local brews that you can only have here and not shipped nationwide. The food selection is a bit slim but ok.

This place used to be incredible. They would do free beer tasting, there was always some pretty cool rare stuff. And you could explore the property somewhat openly. In the last few years (perhaps corresponding to their Sam Adams deal), it has become a bit more like what you would expect from any other large brewery. Beer is generally very good. Always a few interesting beers to try. $10 tastings are reasonable, but doesn't feel like that special an experience. They do sell food on-site. Prices are reasonable as are potion size and quantity/quality. Overall this is a great way to spend an afternoon if you are nearby. No longer really a reason to drive out here though.

While making the reservation I secretly noted that it was husband's birthday weekend. The tour was $15 a person all well worth it! We arrived a few minutes before the tour started and we're greeted by Jeff. From our first meeting through the end of the tour he was AMAZING. He acknowledged my husband's birthday and even had a little birthday cake emoji printed next to his name on his "employee punch card". Through small talk we learned we had a ton in common. He was VERY knowledgeable while giving the tour and had answers to all of our questions and about most of the antiques on the property. The tasting at the end takes place in a speakeasy where you actually have to call on a phone booth phone and obtain the code to get in the secret doors. It was so funny and cool. The other guy working who answered the phone and talked to us before the tour was Richie. He was great too! There was only one other couple signed up for our tour time so it wasn't over crowded even though they max out tours at 16 persons. I was pleasantly surprised how detailed the tour was and how full of memorabilia and antiques the distillery was. A ton of thought and love went into building it. There is no way you won't love it! We were provided some unexpected souvenirs throughout the tour such as the employee punch card, a personalized "prescription" and a sticker. Jeff also offered to take a picture of each couple in the speakeasy. Overall I have told so many friends and other people we have encountered about it. I will continue to spread the word and highly recommend you go for a tour! Having gone on a ton of other brewery and distillery tours throughout the country and world, my husband and I agree this one is near the top! Thanks again, Jeff!

We weren't too sure what to expect from an hour long tour and tasting but it was well worth the small cost. The attention to detail in the decor and aestetic throughout the distillery paying homage to the prohibition is out of this world. We all left with "prescriptions" that were completed on a typewriter which was such a nice touch. We also loved how the tasting cards were formatted to be time cards as well, which we all picked up and punched on our way in and then punched again on our way out. Seacrets really went the extra mile to make a comprehensive experience out of their tour. To add to the experience, the tasting was delicious! My personal favorite was the lemon drop vodka - and that is coming from someone who does not enjoy drinking vodka. My second favorite was the Bourbon Whiskey which I enjoyed chilled. This was so smooth and absolutely delightful! Their seasonal pumpkin spiced rum and their seasonal coffee rum were both tied for third. With each of us getting 3 samples to try, hubby and I made sure to make different choices in order to try more options. 10/10 recommend signing up for one the tours, you will not be disappointed.

While wandering around town during my Fourth of July weekend solo adventure, I decided to duck into the LYON RUM Distillery & Golden Hour Rum Room to escape the heat for a bit. I'd heard good things, figured a little rum tasting sounded like a perfectly reasonable vacation activity and, let's be honest, rum and vacation seem to go together. I stopped in on a Friday afternoon and found a handful of people already inside chatting, tasting rum and enjoying the space. One of the first things I noticed had nothing to do with the rum itself. It was the tasting room. I've visited a few tasting rooms over the years, but this one had so much personality. The décor was warm, colorful and thoughtfully put together. It felt inviting without trying too hard, and I immediately found myself looking around almost as much as I was looking at the bottles. It wasn't just a place to sample rum. It felt like a place you'd genuinely want to spend some time. The woman behind the tasting counter couldn't have been friendlier. She explained that I was welcome to sample any of the complimentary tasting offerings. Since I'm definitely not a liquor expert, I decided to keep things simple and chose the coconut and pineapple rums. The coconut was an immediate winner for me. It was incredibly smooth with just the right tropical flavor. Honestly, I could picture myself putting a bottle in the refrigerator on a hot summer day and pouring a little into a glass while sitting outside watching the sunset. As I said...dangerous. The pineapple rum was good too, but the pineapple means business! It lets you know immediately that you're drinking rum. As someone who doesn't drink much liquor, it packed a little more punch than I personally enjoy. I can absolutely see why someone who loves both rum and pineapple would gravitate toward it, but for me the coconut was the clear favorite. There were plenty of other varieties available to sample, but I knew my limits and decided two tastings were the perfect amount for me. Instead, I spent a few more minutes browsing the shop and taking everything in. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices, especially considering the rum is handcrafted in small batches right there in St. Michaels. I also love supporting businesses that are proud of where they are, and LYON RUM clearly embraces its Eastern Shore roots. You can feel that throughout the entire experience. PRO TIP: Even if you aren't a big liquor drinker, stop in anyway. The complimentary tastings are a fun way to try something new, the tasting room is beautiful and if you're visiting during one of Maryland's summer heat waves...the air conditioning alone is worth the stop! If you're spending time in St. Michaels, I'd absolutely recommend adding LYON RUM to your itinerary. Come for the rum, stay for the atmosphere and don't be surprised if you leave wishing you'd bought a bottle of the coconut rum!

I have been a longtime fan of Lyon Rum, but unfortunately, that's no longer the case…read more I recently visited the Golden Hour Rum Room and was extremely disappointed by the lack of hospitality. It was over 100 degrees outside, and there was an extreme heat warning in effect. When I walked in, I realized the Rum Room was operating by reservation only that day, which I completely understood. However, because of the dangerous heat, I simply asked for a glass of water. The hostess refused to provide one. I would have happily paid for bottled water or any available option, but the complete unwillingness to offer even a glass of water during extreme heat was disappointing and showed a lack of basic customer care. Based on this experience alone, I would give zero stars if I could. It's unfortunate because I had been a loyal supporter of Lyon Rum for years, but this experience has completely changed my opinion.
