Let me start this review by saying that I am satisfied with my car that I purchased from them. I was able to get a limited edition of a preowned Explorer 2023. Let me also include that the salesman that I dealt with were very pleasant. They answered all my questions which is honestly to be expected from any salesman that is worth their salt. I don't think there's a such thing as a rude or stoic car salesman. However, I purchased my last Ford from planet Ford, so I was accustomed to a superior standard of service. Here are all of the things that I hope they can address and do better for the next car buyer. Wash and vacuum the car. Don't let a buyer drive off the lot with a dusty car. Make sure all of the caps are in place. I had to bring my car back because it was missing a seatbelt cap and a tow port cap, and a missing rug. And when I brought my car back, they kept it for a week to address a mechanical issue. They did give me a loaner car, but when I picked up my car, my car was even dirtier than before with mechanic shoe prints everywhere. It was dusty. And because they had shown such kind disposition about them, I didn't want to complain. Make sure a new vehicle has all of its carpets. I left a lot a second time with a missing passenger seat floor carpet.. my salesman said that he would purchase one for me, but again it's an inconvenience for me to have to bring it back once again. He also said that he would wash and detail my car for me, which is nice but again, an inconvenience. I should've had all of these things in place from the start. Sidenote, I did let my salesman know that my carpet was missing from day one , and he never addressed the issue so by the time I came back, they still have not replaced my carpet. read more

So let me start by saying my purchase experience was great. The process was timely and the price was fair what knocks 3 stars off is the service department. They have zero respect for your time. The scheduler gives you a 7am appt just to find out techs don't arrive until 8-830. It took over 4 hrs of my time to get a tow kit installed a job that could be done in 45 minutes tops since everything it prewired. This was a very disappointing experience. Up front, once the Ford survey is no longer available, as a customer you are no longer their concern. I haven't purchased a car in nearly 14 years. I have purchased 9 Fords in my time and this experience was a disappointment. There was a great deal of pressure to rate my salesperson a 5. He didn't deserve a 5. where's the opportunity to improve if everyone is pressured to give the salesperson a five? My experience: I asked my salesperson if I could have a photo with the red bow on my car. HE SAID NO! Here I am, finalizing a purchase on a $65K vehicle, Ishmael said "there's only one bow and it's on a car already." What a disappointment. I drove past two Ford dealers to get to Doggett. The only difference in any business today is customer service. Moments of truth are revealed when a salesperson is face to face with a customer. As a customer, I don't feel as though my business was welcomed or appreciated. I responded Dec. 22nd to an email from Mark Gill suggesting I reach out if I have questions or concerns. It is January 31, and I have yet to get a response. If you've read this far, take my advice. Turn around and don't deal with Doggett on I-45. Please do not do business with Doggett Beaumont. My 21 year old son just bought a used Dodge Ram Nov. 12, 2025. 4 days ago check engine light goes off. He brought it to 2 auto shops both saying same thing: broken exhaust bolts on both sides, evap. system leak, and broken bushing on passenger side causing oil to leak. My husband decided to walk into Doggett today and speak to General Manager. He was told the GM was out the rest of the day but he could speak to sales manager. My husband explained the issue. Told him my son works 2 jobs, goes to school full time and is a good kid. What can be done to make this right. My husband was told nothing they would do....you drove it off the lot it is yours to deal with. Well in the same room sat a another man they were eyeing each other. My husband said so you are telling me you will not make this right and your GM is out the rest of the day. Silence!!!!!! I really wanted this to work, I was coming in from out of town to see family and found a Bronco I wanted. Contacting them early and giving all my information and trade information, to photos and working with Max the salesman. To have them contact me Friday night around 830pm to be told I could not get a number on the truck I was looking and had to come in. They "promised it would be a number I like" but then not tell me. I was limited in time and I felt like these guys are a waste of time. Max said it was because of the GSM and they would call. Bought a 2019 Mustang back in October of 2024. The paperwork took forever, the car wasn't clean when we final got it, the salesman was pushy, and it DEFINITELY wasn't in the "Good" mechanical shape it was represented to be in. We've had to go back and forth with the service department since we bought it (Side note: Jonathan is AMAZING). The mechanics already knew the car because the sales team told them to just say it had been fixed and then not to fix it. The oil was almost empty and was super-muddy, part of the oil dipstick had broken off, because they just jammed it back into the tube, the clutch has been a major issue, the brake pads were almost gone, the transmission is in bad shape, the engine is having major issues with idling and timing. Add on top of that, they were supposed to get the cracked windshield fixed before we took possession, but here it is May 2025 and it's still not done. Why am I paying for the extended warranty if 1) I never have the car because it's eternally in the shop, 2) I couldn't get it seen for 8mo, and 3) the warranty may not cover all the things they said it would?!? 0/10, Avoid this place at all costs! read more

This was going to be my first new car purchase in 20 years. I'd already researched the 2019 Ford Fusion SE I wanted, saw it online, and figured out payments. I filled out an application and then just headed out to the dealership, the day before Thanksgiving. The lot was a little confusing, since the site seems to still be in construction. Temporary buildings were being used for Sales and Financing. A message I got said that Jose would be working on the sale, but I was actually assisted by Ziad, a former Marine, who did a great job with helping me from start to finish. Jose was not on site at the time. The financing was handled by Mr. Jolly, who was very instrumental in getting the price close to where I needed it to be. He even got more money for my trade-in, which was a great! I unexpectedly received a refund check for an overpayment of my TTL in early December (dated 10/26/24). I deposited the check into my bank account that BOUNCED on 12/10/24. I made attempts to call the dealership accounting department, management, general management, etc. and received no response. I finally spoke with a GSM (Mark Gil) who told me the check was being mailed on 12/19/24. That GSM is no longer with the company. The check was still not received. I finally sent a chat message to the dealership on 2/14/25. Bailee Wortham responded, thinking I was in the market for a new car. Several days passed after explaining what I needed before I received a response. February 24, 2025, Anibal Hernandez (GSM) responds to assist. Purchased a vehicle that appeared to be in excellent condition. Low mileage!!!! Within less than 12 hours, check engine light, loss of power, low oil lights came on. Tried to return car, but it could not make the 17 mile drive. It died on 45. Luckily I coasted off to the feeder road. I have found Doggett's price is better than Planet Ford, Helfman, Legacy, and autonation. I did an apples to apple comparison and realized that the deal I got there was the best. Tony Storie the Sales Manager was amazing. You can see that he is very professional genuine person. He goes above and beyond to ensure excellence service and best deal possible. I have so many friends that want a vehicle but hate the process. So I was able to not only help a friend get a Ford XLT and my Niece a Ford Fusion SE this week with them being so happy with everything. They felt the process was smoother than they imaged. No high pressure sales just caring individuals like Tony and the Finance Manager Imran. When it comes to a large purchase during this time we were in fear because of covid. Doggett Ford sold my custom ordered Bronco Sport to someone else after I waited 4 months and when I was in the middle of finalizing the paperwork to go pick it up! Luis Chavez called a day after he already sold it, saying it was a 'system glitch' and then changed the excuse to a 'personal mistake'. His offer was another Bronco (not the same specs) coming in the next few weeks that he can sell to me at invoice. What!? I called Ford corporate and they said this happens a lot with some of these independently owned dealerships. They know they can make more money by selling your custom order at a higher price to another customer because of the high demand. Ford can only limit the inventory allotment to these dealerships and there is no legal recourse as a customer even if you paid a deposit. How unethical! I went in to get my transmission serviced and was expected to have it back in 2 weeks and turned into 2 months. The worst part is when I drove it the gear box was all wrong. I had to put it in park to drive it, neutral to reverse and drive to park, my volume knob were for my wipers and the ac controls for my blinkers!! Horrible wish I could give 0 stars! read more

Buyer beware. I bought a 2018 f150 "certified pre owned" with 22k miles on it. I put 15k down on it. The truck has burned over 5qts in the 3400 miles I've had it. Before I paid the first note on it, I put it in the shop for that and transmission problems. The transmission is currently being "overhauled" and the parts it needs are on back order. I'm not sure how you can certify a truck like that and add 3 grand to the price tag. I cannot get my calls returned. I will probably own this dealership by the end of the year. I called a head of time and had a loaner set up for me due to the work I needed and warranty covered, I arrived and I basically handed them my keys and signed for my loaner and was out extremely fast. They inspected my car a little further and sent me the details on the other things I needed done like filter changes and oil change, pretty much the basics. I signed for approval through my phone while speaking to service rep on the line as he explained what I needed. Car was worked on and I went to pick up a few days later. My dad recently bought a 2019 Mercedes CLS 450 from this dealer, it cost him almost $5,000 in repair issues that were found in the vehicle which the dealer didn't told us. The car was absolutely not in the sellable condition. We went to check out the car during the raining day hence we didn't have a chance to thoroughly inspected the vehicle as much as we should. To save your money and hassle, don't buy a used vehicle from this dealer. Their Sales or Manager won't do anything to assist you after you buy. Even if you have to buy, be sure to inspect everything 110% percent ensure that the car is in absolutely good condition or else you will lose a lot of money to fix issues that this dealer detected but wouldn't tell you. This is a long post but if you are looking for a vehicle and customer service is important to you DO NOT go to this dealership. My son purchased a car (Tesla) from them on 12/9. It was a pre owned vehicle. On 1/27 there was a service light that came on. ($700)He had to take it to the shop. Of course it had to go to Tesla. I called the manager Chris Interal and explained to him what happened. Why I felt that they should cover this cost or at least 1/2. He went on to tell me that there policy is once you take it off the lot it's yours and so is the issue and the bill. He also went on to tell me about Texas Law. I shared with him a scenario that happened with me when my sons Jeep was stolen that was purchased at Sewell Audi and they paid a note for me. (Because while it was stolen I was still responsible. -3 months )This was a GM decision because customer service was important to them. This didn't matter. I went on to send a email to the GM Jason Mosley and the Controller Shawn Lewis. I explained everything I mentioned above to them. I just got a call advising me that they will do nothing. They stand by there policy and refuse to provide customer service. I'm appalled at the attitude and the way this was handled. I thought it was my duty to tell all of you. Of course when I call both the Sales Rep and Finance Manager are out, that or not answering their phones. Doggett Ford failed to contact and complete the 10-day pay off documentation when taking delivery of my trade in. The bank is pointing their finger at Doggett Ford since they've yet to receive any information in regards to my 10-day pay off. Guess who's now got two loans and is still paying monthly for a car not in their possession, this guy. Seriously, y'all have my number. I've left voice mails. I may have to just drive all the damn way down back to Houston from Dallas to sort out your screw up! Insane, avoid this dealer. You'll end up having to hold their hand through the entire process, because they apparently cannot do it alone. Update: Something I learned about later, the dealership performed a Pre-Delivery Inspection that consisted of changing two tires, probably the rear or the front, I'd imagine the rear because those tend to go out if they're not rotated during inspections. They completely mismatched the front, so the vehicle has tons of vibration in the steering column. From 60-75mph you have enough vibration in the steering wheel to tire your wrists out after a few miles of driving. I took the vehicle to a local shop to have the wheels and tires rechecked for mounting and balancing. They said the original alignment wasn't to bad, but the balancing was all off. It's what you can expect from a $90ea tire that was installed from Doggett through a 3rd party. Which is more than likely Walmart. Not only did they cheap out on the tires, they proceeded to have me pay for a tint upgrade on the prepared car that was PREVIOUSLY TINTED by ANOTHER entity. Not Doggett Ford. Be CAREFUL and check those tint stickers on the windows. I learned first hand and didn't see it originally. Why would a dealership send the vehicle out for tint 99mi away to another shop when they can do it in house. Charged, scammed, me $299. read more

What an awkward experience to come in and pay IN FULL IN CASH then have Doggett Ford and the employee Tim try and repossess the vehicle we purchased, THREE WHOLE DAYS after the sale! Not once were we talked to in a conversational manner, offered any complementary water or popcorn or even so much glanced at until they took our cash back to the money machine. It seems odd to want to "follow the law" after the transaction was made and the contact following the sale was less than respectful. When a place of business makes a mistake because of information that can't be viewed by their company computers and the customer IS in the right it is downright embarrassing for that place of business. Shame on you for not having your own information prepared to make the sale and trying to make a customer feel in the wrong over your own inadequate service. That being said, they were very easy to work with, where most dealerships nowadays act as though the car will sell itself and they could care less if you buy it or not. Well, not Doggett, these guys actually want to sell you a car. They care about their customers, I felt like they did everything they could to make the process of buying a car as easy and quick as possible in the very short notice they had, I drove 3 hrs to buy from them because they were able to negotiate a deal that other dealerships wouldn't.
