I made an inquiry on the website to be contacted to get a dog door installed. The website states dog door installation comes with a dog door and everything is included for $390. I got contacted by Tre and setup a time and day. The day before the appt he asks me if he could move it to Sunday because he had an emergent situation come up. I'm pretty laid back and understood life happens so that's fine. Sunday rolls around and it's the appt time I reached out to see where Tre was at and he said he was having car problems so he would be there in a half hour. Once he got in here he checked everything out said everything looks good then asked us where the dog door is. We stated we don't have one and then he went back into the room to figure out what to do I guess. We told him the website states a door comes with the installation and he said the website is actually outdated. But it's honestly wild because if your website states it and you don't say anything how is anyone supposed to be prepared with a dog door ready to install? He said he would order one and it would be here in a couple days. A couple days rolls by and haven't heard from Tre as he stated he would contact us. I see great reviews about Tre which I'm sure were great experiences at the time but unfortunately this experience kind of makes me feel slightly off about the company especially the sort of lack of communication from Tre. We decided to contact another company as I wasn't going to continuously try so hard to have someone install a dog door especially one that is misleading on their website. read more

Called Bob 10am on Saturday, needed dog door installed asap. Answered first call, very friendly demeanor. He had a cancellation so was able to come by within two hours with his helper Josh. He asked me on the phone about my dogs and came prepared with two possible sizes. He showed me the options and we discussed where best to put the door for dog's height. He had tools to check the wall for wiring and studs, which we found weren't fool proof but gave him a good idea where he could cut. Got a surprise with extra studs but Bob was confident how to solve the problem. He had to cut one stud out of the way but it had no impact on the structure and some wiring had to be tucked away. He saved the cut-out stucco and drywall in the dog door box, for future if needed for fill-in. Took about 90 minutes, was happy about installation, so-so about the quality of the door itself, lots of plastic inside and plastic security slide, but that's the quality these days. Have a previously-installed PetSafe that is x-large and has metal sides, metal security slider and carpeted strip on the bottom. Don't know if that quality is available now. But I paid enough and wouldn't want to pay more for quality difference. Install & door was $345 for large PetSafe. Don't know if that's competitive but I wasn't surprised at the cost, and even if high, I am always willing to pay more for personality and great attitude! Bob also put up a window shade that proved to be a pain cause it was cut short and only charged me $10 extra. I will definitely call Bob again based on responsiveness, personality and knowledge. read more
