Original Frita (left) & Frita Supreme (right) & mamey shake (pink) & mango shake (yellow)

If I ever come to Miami again this is on my MUST VISIT list. The original frita was SO GOOD. (One of our group preferred the supreme, but I'm team original 100%). The mango shake tasted like the most perfect fresh ripe mango squeezed directly into my mouth. Overall, perfect. No notes. Please eat here.

I remember coming to El Rey de la frita back when I use to live here. I have to admit I was half expecting it to have changed in taste since food quality seems to be diminishing everywhere as of late but not here. That familiar taste came flooding back, a taste of home. The crispy house made potato sticks, the cuban spiced meat patty and the slight crisp but then softness of the cuban bread all coming together deliciously in my mouth, heaven. Probably the most inexpensive place we ate at during the trip as well. I had mine with a fresh made melon juice, just perfection honestly. Service is friendly and attentive; the place is still reminiscent of an old school diner. I hope they never change.

Omg! Something new that I never tried before, savory and satisfying to my hunger! Oh boy never have I ever had a fritas burger! I never new this existed until my friend told us about it. These are seasoned with a certain seasoning that makes these delicious burgers special. When we entered we were welcomed with smiles from the staff. Invited to sit anywhere we pleased we decided to just sit at the counter. We ordered each a croqueta and 2 burgers . My friend ordered one for herself and I ordered one for my husband and I to share. Wow! Like I said satisfying delicious! This place really made it on my list for one of the best burgers places in miami. They got me hooked! And I can't wait to return to go back for some more burgers.

Stopped by this place for a lunch before we had a chocolate tour down the street and it was super fast and convenient! This is my first time trying a Cuban frita place so I was excited, I love fries and burgers so it has to be good! And the crispy julienne fries were yummy. The egg was cooked to perfection and the mango smoothie was super delicious, creamy and cooling. Our server was nice, he only spoke Spanish but made sure everything was all good for us. Super fast diner for some quick munches, I can see how this place got some awards a decade ago.

El Rey de las Fritas is just one of those spots that keeps giving no matter what. My parents are visiting from Jersey, and so my wife and I decided to take them to El Rey to go eat. The place is nothing spectacular. It's got a classic diner type of feel with counter seating and booths to match. The servers took care of us immediately upon being seated. I ordered the Frita Suprema (comes with queso blanco and maduros) as did my wife, my mom ordered the Clásico, and my dad ordered the Pan con Bistec de Tostones. We also ordered the Batidos de Mamey and Trigos. The food came out quick, and was nice and hot. It was a bit greasy but man did it hit the spot. The meat was salty, but the queso and maduros off set it nicely. The batidos were also very good, but I preferred the Trigo over the Mamey. Overall, a good bang for your buck place. Nice for a quick eat. We ending up spending about $76 for 4 people. Well, until next time, folks! Enjoy the meal!!!

Worth the stop! Get the frita with egg, a coffee or a fresh juice!! Had some other snacks that were fine. Other than that... delicious!

We were looking for somewhere chill to eat after the beach and little did we know El Rey De Las Fritas was the perfect spot AND we was right by the Calle Ocho strip!! Almost like diner vibes. We got some steak & eggs, empanadas, croquetas, & their Cubanito Steak Sandwich. The sandwich threw me off cause I thought it was gonna be a Cuban with steak but this was next level! All the carne was so tender tasted amazing! The empanada was a little odd because, just like the waiter told us, the meat was directly in the middle and it was like one huge crust around the edge. The meat tasted good but I wasn't sure why they'd make it that way. It didn't show on the menu but of course they had fire Cafe con Leche so we ordered some with dinner and 2 more to go! This place was SO good that we wanted to go back another day!

Loved this place from their original sandwich to their coconut flan. Everything is sooo amazing! Love their guarapo so sweet and refreshing. You must try this if you're visiting Little Havana!

Excellent food and service. Had pan con bistec . It was delicious. The location is clean. The staff does a great job. I know when I want a great pan con bistec, I can come here and have one. The mariquitas are delicious too. Always order them as well.

Just on the outskirts of the main tourist attractions, which is great because it's not as crowded. Classic diner setting with fast service. Lots of local diners so you know it's legit with reasonable prices. The original frita was a delicious quick bite!

Frita Suprema - interesting mix of sweet and savory

We came here in January 2025, just after a trip to Versailles, and unfortunately after drinking two of their Cuban coffees! Our hearts were pounding when we walked in here! I ordered the Fritas Supreme and my lady ordered the Cuban. My sandwich was an interesting mix of sweet and savory, and the ingredients were well layered. The Cuban was equally delicious. The staff here were awesome, all of them seeming to have a good time. Our server recommended the sugar cane juice, which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was an excellent stop, and if you want to learn more about this place, check them out on YouTube.

Very good Cuban spot walking distance from the heart of Little Havana. It felt like we missed the touristy hustle and bustle by coming here because it's about 0.3 miles down the road from the main tourist drop off. I really enjoyed the unique flavor of the Frita and the bread was great. The Cuban sandwich was good too but neither were super filling so I'm glad I got both. Glad we came but I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

The service is excellent, the ambiance, old school calle 8, but what makes it a 5 star is the best Frita, not only in Miami, but the world.

I've tried the nachos before, and this time I ordered the Beef on Weck burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was exactly what I was craving, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The ambiance is lively without feeling overwhelming, making it the perfect place to catch a game while enjoying good food and drinks with friends or coworkers. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure you have everything you need.
