This odd shop is very large, it's situated in an old building on the corner of Martha St, not hard to find. The outside leaves much to be desired, the inside is intriguing though. It seems like a hoarders paradise for cool things. For the prices being asked, items should be displayed well, better curated, and should be in humidified, or dehumidified spaces... That portion of the visit left much to be desired. My friend, and I sadly left with nothing, although we found many things very interesting. A few things we found were outright grotesque though (one such item I still think about months later) and a few items that were embalmed were not maintained, the fluid was getting low, and items were starting to disintegrate in the fluid. The person who owns the items and property was incredibly knowledgeable, incredibly kind, very warm, and incredibly welcoming. I enjoyed coming to this oddity shop very much, and would have loved to purchase quite a few items from here given they were cared for a bit more, or their price were a little less. Regardless, I think it is always worth checking out if you are in town. The bone collection was impressive, and easily one of the largest I've seen (if you're a collector)

I figured I'd try again, this time 6 weeks later..no lapse in time, we were early coming in for the visit so we had to come back in 20 min big inconvenience, we did and then they weren't ready for the appointment, the groomer seemed frustrated and my dogs must've felt it cause they wouldn't go with her, never been a problem when going to the groomers, I asked her if this was a good time if not we could rebook. She went on to say she's been having a rough day, but it was ok. I left them said she's call when they were ready we'll I dropped them off at 2:30 and it was now 6 so I went over there the clerk said she was having issues because of how the day was going and could I come back in 40 minutes which was closing time. I sadi ok. When I came back in was 5 min to close and my animals weren't ready yet. They brought out 2 dogs which had on the wrong harnest, I waited another 15 mins for them to bring out my other dogs, they were ready to go and it was closing time. So I left, I live in apartments very close, 5 mins maybe. When I walked in my apartment my dog i waited for the longest was limping and there was blood drops everywhere on the floor and furniture. I picked her up to see where it was coming from, it was her toe, half of her toe was clipped and bleeding, this has never happened to any of my animals. I called back over to see what happened and why they hadn't made me aware? The clerk proceeded to argue with me and everything short of calling me a liar. Then said it happened because my dogs toenails were too long, they just groomed her 6 weeks prior no long lapse in grooming. All along while I waited for them they had to try to get the bleeding under control before giving her to me. She then proceeded to tell me I can come back over and buy some medication for the bleeding they caused! I asked when the owner would be in, she proceeded to say the owner only comes in for 15 30 maybe an hour at a time and staff never knows she can try to pass a message. I will be filing a small claims case for emotional distress and return of funds for the service and vet bills. Please DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE

They have so many adorable options already made, but if you want a specific pattern in a different size, they'll custom make it for you! They even let me look through a giant bin with tons of different ribbon options to pick the exact one I wanted. Made it to order & ready for pick up within a couple of days!! I know they're popular among the dog mamas around here, but I'm here to talk about how these are the best collars you can get for your feline friends!! Every time I have bought a non-MazzyCo collar for the kitties, they get destroyed pretty quickly (within a couple weeks) by their rough tongues when they groom themselves. MazzyCo collars hold up for months and months, almost definitely more if I weren't always switching them out for a new cute design. I also really trust the quality of the breakaway clasps they use for safety with the kitty collars, and the bells are just the right volume. Best cat collar EVER! I love love love that there's a brick & mortar now where you can find products by some of the other best pet vendors in town, including Knots of Bows (also the highest quality & cutest around, but for bowties). If you've seen them at the farmer's market or other pop-ups, I highly recommend finding a time to stop in to the store.

Since shedding season has just begun, we decided to take him in for a shed treatment and bath. We heard about this place from my sister-in-law who has taken her dogs there for nail trims. You have to call to make an appointment, but they're really flexible and I didn't have to wait more than a few days to get in. They also asked what my vet was so they could verify the rabies vaccination, which was nice that I didn't have to chase down his records myself. When we took him in, the front desk person was welcoming and help us get all checked in. They asked a few questions about his demeanor, and we assured them that he is mostly a chicken and the most difficult he'll be is he'll freeze up when he gets anxious. They called me about two hours later and he was ready to go. I had to get him within an hour of him finishing. When I got there, I paid first and then they brought him out. He had a super sweet bandanna on, and I could tell that they really worked hard on getting his undercoat out. We haven't had the best experience with de- shed treatments around town as he always comes to us just as hairy. I think some places think that they can get a few minutes of brushing and then call it good but this dude has like three layers of undercoat. You can tell the staff here really spent time on getting that out. Not to mention he smelled SO good. No wet dog smell here. We didn't use any other of their services or do any shopping, but it looks like they had a good selection of products. This isn't our closest local dog store so we probably wouldn't come to just shop but I would return for the grooming services.
