Cool place in little Myerstown, PA. Love the Dog theme throughout the bar! Some portions go to local animal charities as well which is always a plus! Waitress was kind and easy to talk to. She was very generous throughout our time there. The short rib poutine was INCREDIBLE. I could honestly eat this everyday of my life. The tender short rib, crispy cheese curds and fries was a Hit! This place is such a hidden Gem in the heart of Myerstown. The cheese came out boiling still and had a great strong flavor with a nice crispy layer of cheese from being broiled. Pretzels were soft and tasteful. My main meal was the whiskey chicken with mashed potato's and it also surpassed my expectations. Two large and thick chicken breasts with a beautiful crunch to the fried outside. Some fried chicken dishes are overcooked or dry because they're too thin but this was spot on. Potato's were great tasting. Mac and cheese was my other side and it was good. I wish I could say great but the flavor was modest. Not bad tasting at all just not the punch I expected after having the pub cheese from the pretzel. But in a positive light, the top was beautifully crusted but very creamy inside. We are from Connecticut here for a weekend away but I would strive to come here if we are ever remotely close in the future! Highly recommend and the decor will mesmerize you for sure. read more

First time here. Really great place. Everything was perfect. I had the Golden Harvest Chicken sandwich it was really tasty. My gf had the scallops and bacon jam with the butternut squash and bacon risotto which was amazing. I love seafood & my companion enjoys a good steak. So, on my birthday we went to DoGoods Tavern. The waiter should've warned us that the porterhouse steak with chimichurri sauce was paper thin, it was not Pittsburg & had no sear whatsoever, $42. My dish, the seafood trio had 3 very small scallops (2-ish & a half in fact) & 2 were broken, 5 small shrimp & a crab cake that was more bread than anything, $30. Even the accompanying broccoli was overcooked. The Hugo Spritzer was acceptable. I will not return & cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

I was in town for work and was recommended to try this spot out. I expected just your standard pub but was thoroughly surprised to walk into a very upscale looking tavern. The decor was beautiful stained woods and interesting art pieces on shelves and hung on walls. I ordered their signature burger which was blue cheese, onions, and bacon jam. It was cooked perfectly and perfectly balanced with the sweet and savory. Our server was fantastic and very quick with everything. I was floored with how quickly our food came out! It seemed like it was only 10 mins max! I was told that if you expect to get a seat at this tavern at dinner time or on the weekends you have to plan far in advance with reservations. And judging by the experience I had here it's totally warranted. If you are in myerstown PA, this is a necessary stop! read more

What a beautiful place, very unique and attractive eating establishment. I had the French onion soup bowl, very nice but a bit salty for my taste. Spouse had the chowder and said it was excellent. Crab cake sandwich for her and the Bree apple burger for me. The crab wasn't the best she said but was pretty good. Burger was so juicy it was nearly impossible to eat by hand, in fact I resorted to knife and fork very delicious. Chips aren't my favorite sidekick, but seem to be the fashion lately. Beautifully decored pub with an authentic layout. Service at the bar was exceptional. Drinks were well prepared along with a very good variety of draft beers. I've been here 3 times; ribs and Mac and cheese were great 2nd time ordered the haddock piccata; really fell short. 3rd time got seafood bisque; tasted like seafood but no discernsble pieces of seafood, also got shrimp lettuce wraps/ the rib in the butter lettuce was rotten/or rusty, lettuce was limp, shrimp was overcooked, toasted coconut rice was on the cold side and very dry, wouldn't recommend. Fantastic vibe with decor pertinent to the area. The inside is really beautiful with a dining area and separate bar area. The waitress was very nice and personable. Love this as a great place for drink's & appetizers, fun atmosphere. The scallops I had were great, but I wasn't too crazy about the jam on top (just personal preference). They also made my friend a drink that wasn't on the menu with just a little instruction from him and it looked delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something different. read more

This was a fantastic Friday night experience. We had driven to the area to pick up a Facebook marketplace purchase and asked for a dinner recommendation and were directed to DoGoods This place is my jam.... Great outside appearance... walked in and were fortunate to be seated right away. My wife's pretty critical...and needed to use the restroom right away...she came back to our table RAVING about the cleanliness. Server was upbeat and knowledgeable of the menu and brought up the specials right away. Cocktail...well balanced...not always easy to find. Apps were great and served timely. Myerstown is a little short on restaurants, especially with liquor licenses. So nice to have a neighborhood place where the food is good. I've been there several times and have not had a bad meal yet. This may sound crazy but the Caesar salad is awesome. The shrimp and linguine entrée is also very good. As for drinks, their house sangria is amazing. I have it every time I go. I'm told all of the desserts are made in house and the chocolate cake with peanut butter icing is especially good. Good idea to make a reservation but not absolutely necessary unless you go during a busy time. The décor and the atmosphere are very nice. During the day the huge windows let in lots of natural light. Good place to go for lunch. read more

I decided on the Whiskey Chicken, an interesting Irish cream sauce and mushrooms on two large fried chicken breasts. I chose the Brussels sprouts and a Caesar salad as my sides. Nice restaurant overall. The receptionist was polite and smiling as well as the server. Food service was adequate but simple things took longer than expected. Drink refills took very long considering there were only 5 or 6 groups in the restaurant. Scallops with Bacon Jam was excellent. A little expensive ($18) considering you got 5 small scallops. Good cook on the scallops and tender. I got the DoGoods Burger ($15) made with Impossible Burger. The impossible burger was pre-made, under seasoned, and charred. My side of fries was 15 French fries and 3 pickle slices. My youngest son got a hamburger and fries. He got a pre-made beef burger that was underseasoned and charred as well. Not appealing. He did however get more fries than I got. My oldest sons chicken tenders were moist and well breaded. My wife got the Whiskey Chicken ($23) it was breaded well, fried well, and a generous portion. The "roasted" mushrooms were definitely dehydrated that never got rehydrated properly. They were chewy. Overall, this place is fine if you want a drunk and a bite to eat, but it's not the quality that you should get for the money. I won't be returning for a 4th time unless some new cooks or chefs come in. read more

My family and I met here to catch-up and grab lunch while holiday planning. There's a small parking lot as well as street parking. The staff was incredibly nice and our server was quick to tend to us even though she was busy. The food came out quick, hot and correct. They have an extensive menu offering a variety of food. My kids enjoyed their meals, which I thought were of good size. I had the hot chicken sandwich and it was SO good! I love the atmosphere. I highly recommend and will be back! read more
